The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I keep that stocked since Covid :)
I kept mine stocked after working with my boss in the 00's. He was a Russian Jew from Ukraine. He had escaped with his family from Kiev after Chernobyl blew.
We asked in times of war what did he miss most. Toilet paper. Newspaper or leaves where not a good alternative and difficult to dispose of. Since then I always had an extra dozen or two stashed away.
During covid I thought it was funny how people were hoarding. In the end it made tp thin and hard to use economically. I am still a folder. But the new flimsy rolls 3 squares come off more often that 2. I think my significant other is a wader. She uses a lot!

I just watched the 4 o clock update on the weather and they mentioned the Tennessee Valley saying it was going to get Freezing rain.. Stay safe..
I think us here in Northern Virginia are all freezing rain too. What ever it is will be interesting. My neighbors aren't from here and tend to not dig out. If it is ice and 20 degrees for looks like 5 more days until it warms up and snows the following Sunday they may not be able to get out. My driveway doesn't see sun this time of year. I am curious when my ice will melt.
For those with experience, if it does snow first and changes to sleet and or freezing rain. Should I shovel the snow off at or before the change over? At 20 degrees or less the whole thing turns solid, right?

Today Georgia will continue to panic over the incoming weather and bread, milk and eggs will disappear from grocery shelves.
I often wonder after the stores have been pillaged before a storm how much of the food is thrown away.
I have a little extra milk. I run out of fresh veggies starting Wednesday. But will easily survive on the leftover ham and soup. Lots of proteins in the freezer too. It takes a while for potatoes to go bad. Pasta stores well.

It’s expensive to live here, but it’s near everything. I have to say I like living here. I just wish it wasn’t as built up as it is now.
It is all built up in NC where I want to be now too. It doesn't look the same. Years ago IBM opened a major office and plant nearby. It is not as southern as it used to be either. I miss that "friendly" when I visit.

BE CAREFUL! Shovel snow before the ice starts! You'll hear when the storm changes over to sleet. If you don't shovel at that point, it's going to get super heavy thereafter.*

*we call this Heart Attack Snow - had a friend's husband die in her arms waiting for EMS to arrive after he came in from shoveling heavy, wet snow
I have a little extra milk.
Never have I ever liked milk. But some cooking/baking needs it. So I always have powdered on hand.
Milk. If I feel like I am cold I will bake cookies so the house will warm up. Must have milk. And I like a glass of milk with my bagel and cream cheese or bagel with lox.
I have strict instructions to include a warning with my Triple Fudge Brownies: MUST dispense with milk 🤷‍♀️

The ...urge to not eat cookies.....? Does that mean you were already eating the cookies and had the urge to stop? I have that happen. It is why I make the cookies really small so I can have an excuse in my mind that eating more than three at a time is ok.
I make 'em small so they fit in the containers easier. I'll have to check w/ the recipients. Most cookies I make get given away. I'm not big on eating cookies or cake 🤷‍♀️

Hello likes to Watch how are you?

Hi Alex. Hows the weather is it bad? How long will the printer take?
So, we are just now clouding up and the temperature is dropping. The resin printer needs 5 hours modified by ambient temperature (cold slows the reaction, might take 7, 8 hours), and the FDM printer needs another 18 hours for the big job it is running. I sacrificed a little part strength for speed on this one, and kicked it into "sport" mode, so it doesn't worry about going slow to be quiet.

Sold out of wood again. And refilled the wood stand again.

The storm is good for business!

I hope ever in the path is prepared and takes good care and is safe. I don’t mind the snow so much, but the ice is a motherfucker.

Today was really nice, but the wind really picked up in the afternoon when I was moving firewood and the temperature is really dropping. Tomorrow will be very cold.

💯 agree!!
How's the mouth? 🦷

Oooh - @Missk_2022 I found some new mittens you might like 😁

I am hibernating during this cold spell. The old dog wanted his afternoon walk. He got as far as 3 feet from the garage, looked around and then turned to go back inside the house. He is a smart dog.

The cold is predicted to drop into negative territory tonight. It gets slightly better by Sunday. Then we get about 3 inches of snow which is better than those south of Michigan.

Be careful removing snow especially in this cold. The nurses can tell you about the health risk.

And breathe…..

A few words of advice. Sentences max 12 words, paragraphs and cut the crap.

Oh and talking about nudity, bare asses with hand marks etc isn’t what we do there are plenty of places on Lit for that… Give me a good cookie recipe instead or tell me how amazing my dogs are.

Good luck
