Why does sulphur ( sulfur ) do that weird thing when it's heated? I can remember a demo where it went liquid, then solid, then bubbled, then became a lava-spitting monster then back to a solid as it went up through different temperatures.

It has to do with excitation levels of the electrons, chemical interactions and super sciency things that I’m too tired to explain now.

Did you know they put sulfur in tires?

The last time I sniffed a tyre ( note UK spelling ) I detected a whiff of sulphur. From this I can only conclude I did not have covid when I did the sniffing and secondly sniffing apparently a kinky thing to do in Canada. I'm not sure why, but happy to google it right after the info on exciting electrons. I'll report back
