If they are very corroded:

Sprinkle some baking soda over the corrosion to neutralize the battery acid. Dip an old toothbrush or cotton swab in vinegar or lemon juice so it's soaking wet, and dab it on over the baking soda. Let it fizz for a couple of minutes, then scrub the corrosion away and rinse with clean, water-soaked cotton swabs.

In sailing, we have tack to the upwind mark. I have new sails and it seems I can't point higher. But higher pointing is always at the cost of lower speed. So, it's and angles (distance) vs speed thing: is it better to go slow but travel less distance or go fast, but travel further.
Obviously on shore, I can do the trig and work the math out. But I can't do that on the fly on a boat - especially by mid day when I'm getting tired.
How do come up with a simple way to tell whether I should foot or point? (@Cindy027 might know something about this).

Get yourself back into a dinghy and brush up your skills!
The cut of the new sails probably means you have to change the way you sail - check the tell tales on the leech - are they flying uniformly or is the air stalling at the top, meaning too much vang/kicker etc etc? Keep the momentum going but use every lift. Get out on the lake when you're not racing and figure it out.

My wife read it and is watching the series. Only going by what she has told me it's a historical comedy drama. I'm watching it mostly because of Brie Lawson and all the MCU hate she gets.

As a frustrated armchair scientist I'm fascinated by the formation of the solar system and the distribution of the elements throughout. What's your take on this?

I love how all elements are basically built on one … and all molecules are just combinations of the individual elements. Amazing.
