But yes outside of Salisbury steak, which really isn't steak, I don't want gravy on my steak.
When I do steak it's salt and pepper and very hot griddleI've never put gravy on a steak.
I normally marinade mine in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary for half a day then cook on a griddle pan. I will pour a bit of the juices over the steak for flavour.
Sometimes I'll cook a peppercorn sauce too.
