The Cozy Corner

Oh wow... I'll try!
Same ingredients as pancake batter but more eggs, less milk and no sugar.
So imagine a really fluffy savoury pancake that's crispy on the outside.
Thank you for the description!

That sounds great. I will definitely have to try it sometime.

But I am thinking you mislead us a bit. You have insinuated in the past that you don't cook much, or are not much of a cook. It seems to me like you are a fantastic cook!

Might have also overindulged a bit post race. Katoomba also happened to have some of Sydney, nay, Australia's best beers. Perfect celebration with my crew. 🍻
Looks tasty and delicious! 🩷
Have a great Sunday everyone!

I am off to get a workout in, brunch with my former teammates and then a return flight home.
Safe flight to you!
Question of the day, an argument in my house. Does brown gravy belong on steak?
I am a firm NEVER. Wife makes me cringe every time she eats it that way.
Never criticize your wife's choices. After all you were one of them😉

But yes outside of Salisbury steak, which really isn't steak, I don't want gravy on my steak.

I've never put gravy on a steak.
I normally marinade mine in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary for half a day then cook on a griddle pan. I will pour a bit of the juices over the steak for added flavour.
Sometimes I'll cook a peppercorn sauce too.

Preparing myself to be shot down by the Muricans here who are the steak cooking experts!

When I do steak it's salt and pepper and very hot griddle

Maybe finish with garlic butter and rosemary if I feel fancy

Pulls up seat at your table next time you make steak. I'll bring wine 😉

Sounds good to me.

The right cut of steak, cooked properly, needs absolutely nothing on it! Gravy on steak is an absolute no no for me

Also, good morning everyone!!
I am glad I jumped in here!

MissSNG is absolutely correct! This especially goes for A1 and Heinz 57! I do put anything on my steak it is little of the butter and pan drippings I cook the steak in.
