I was a linguistics major for a time. Those classes turned out to be some of the most surprisingly relevant ones in both school and career.

I think that ended up my second favorite. There’s one that’s a little lighter and greener that I decided would be better given that the room says pretty dark.

My faults are many and my memory is now full of holes BUT if there's one take-away from my formal vocal training it is how to never be able to ignore the way a person speaks ever again. Things like "lieberry" "umm" "yer" and "CHUNA" stick out to me whether I want them to or not.

That education also showed me the value of ACTUAL skills I don't have like accounting and plumbing....
