This reminds me of my first yard work chore.

It was before kindergarten, so I was 4 or 5? I'd watch my dad mowing, watching for "The Signal". Once he'd give me a I would get up from the deck, go inside and get his beer ready for his next pass.

I mean, that might just take the cake for best first chore as a kid! Your father taught you well! And saaaaay, that me gives an idea....*suddenly extra excited to mow the lawn for the first time this year so I can teach my 7 year old the same thing this summer*

Your father is a genius! There really is no better time crack an ice cold beer than immediately following a fresh cut lawn on a hot day. While wearing JEANS *looks disapprovingly at all you crazy, short wearing weirdos*

That's an awesome sight. We have a pair that nest in our area -- even when I see them often, it's always a special thing to me.
