The only thing a red blooded 'murican male might love more than getting his libido satisfied is filling his stomach. Go look at the obesity numbers to confirm. .... The lengthy process of prepping the smoke, lovingly watching over the meat with all the considerations for your own secrets and spice blends ....you've invested hours into a meal that lasts 30 minutes at most....but that flavor explosion hits ALL the boxes in his lizard brain and he'll do just about anything to get it again.

Ach. My experience as a nearly lifelong southerner, is someone is ALWAYS going to complain about the BBQ.

No ribs. No brisket. No smoker. Sweet sauce bad. Spicy sauce bad. Vinegar necessary. Too much vinegar. White vs red vs. what have you.

It's all good.
