Nobody goes through life without acting like a prick at some point. You yourself apologised for being in a bitchy mood and taking people's heads off a few days back. Let he who has not been a cock in public cast the first stone.

Call me a hopeless idealist (god knows I'm used to it from amicus), but I dislike writing anyone off as 'pitiful' or a 'dumbass'. I try to see their point of view, try to understand why they're acting as they are and try and create some kind of conviviality and friendly atmosphere, instead of ditching someone as a lost cause.

Maybe that makes me an idiot, I don't know. I just find it a little bit sickening that we'd have a thread on the AH started and dedicated to poking someone who's obviously not in a good place in their life.

I've been here the entire time, and I still don't know what made her so pissy. I've been refraining from making pot shots at her because I know from my own experience that when I feel similar, or when other people start acting like that, they really don't need any more fuel on that fire (plus I wasn't part of it, and that would be like jumping in the middle of a war "just because" ).

I hope that all that she really needs is a cooldown time, I hope that she gets it and I hope that she feels better next month.

Earl, I'm not sure if you were around or not that night, but she flooded the boards with new thread after new thread, all of them obnoxious(which have since been deleted) - all of them either calling me names, or throwing herself a pity party.

Maybe I was harsh, but you know? I got tired of her habit of attacking vella everytime she was around. It had absolutely nothing to do with her being a newbie, and everything to do with her shitty attitude.

I was here, I saw. About two pages worth of crap threads, one after another.
I'm only new here, but I'm not new to message boards. I don't know, nor do I particularly care, what her problem was. That kind of behaviour is painful to other users, and a right PITA to mods who have to clean up after.
And from what I saw, it was treated appropriately.

Normally I'd agree, and I kinda do. But the person involved did this not once, but I think this last round wa the third lot of upset caused by the user in question.

I've seen many AH'ers being nice to them, trying to be constructive, friendly and welcoming and each time it was met with a hail of abuse.

I find it really sad and I really hope it was an exagerated persona, but if not I hope they get help asap.

it's difficult to be nice to someone who spews hate at you, and well, it riles some folks up to reply in kind, which I can understand.
