The Crystal Kingdom

Victoria picked up the cat and carried him home. He purred happily. "I think you are crazy , I think I'M crazy but I'm going to bring you home and show you to my mother."
" If you show me to your mother SHE'LL think you are crazy!"
"no , cuz you'll talk to her."
"only you can hear me."
"just great." Victoria mummbled and put the cat down, "then i won't bring you home. "
"yes you will."The cat said and followed her home.

Ariana awoke to the sound of laughter a frown on her face at being awakened. She was weak from the trance and needed rest. Then she felt it, a pull a warmth in her chest and knew the sage had arrived. Standing up she looked to see a somewhat handsome man standing defeated and had to laugh. It looked like Aneke had to use some tricks to get him here. Then the sage spoke and her respect dropped considerably. "This is your master? It's a shame, she looks better naked." Her eyes found Aneke's and Aneke looked away. ' Naked? We will discuss this later...' she mentally said to her. Aneke blushed then flew over to her shoulder. She snapped her fingers and took garret out of his hypnotized state. Ariana spoke up "She is not her 'master'as you put it I am. I am the sage of spirit and you are the Sage of Fire. you are welcome here in this gathering, I suggest however you put on an air of kindness not one of sarcasm. My patience has been sorely spent these past two days. We will leave tomorrow morning for the next sage. Please rest and make yourself at home" she said forcing herself to smile.

Aneke:

Aneke lead Garret into the clearing. Everyone began laughing at his defeat and she felt an odd sense of anger at everyone's mockery of him. Why? she wondered he was nothing but an outworlder. Shaking her head she saw Ariana stand up looking exhausted. She felt her exhaustion as well. Then Garret spoke up "This is your master? It's a shame, she looks better naked." Aneke's eyes widened and she blushed as Ariana looked at her in a questioning look then one that said she would get what was coming to her. Aneke cringed and floated over to her shoulder. She murmured a word and Garret was once more in control. She then landed on Ariana's shoulder awaiting her reprimand.

OOC: I was in formed earlyer this weak that My Brother is not alowed To Partisapat in this Tred so I with draw My Character From this Thred

Victoria walked up to her door . Before she could walk in her mother opened the door and looked at the cat.
"he followed me home "victoria looked down at the cat.
"I've heard that one before !" her mother said

Garret looked at his mistake, seeing the faery fly over to her master. Wow, she didn't look half bad. She was still better naked, but still...
He bowed down, picking up the helm. It felt heavy in his hands. As it should, it was supposed to be made of magic.
He raised his eyebrows, glancing back at the rest of the group.
"Look, I understand that you think you may have found an ancient scroll with some cray writing on it, and maybe took it a little too much to heart. I can see that you've taken a lot of trouble to disuade people from fighting you, and I also realize that you may think I am whom I'm not."
He slipped the helm into his knapsack.
"The problem is I don't want to be a part of it. I'm not a sage, your faery friend made a mistake. I understand though, it happens all the time. If you need something from me though? Maybe a close personal item or something to finish your little spell then I'm all for it, but I do have pressing matters to attend."

Ariana shook her head "we found no scroll. It has been a prophecy for many year in Crystalia that an evil will arrive from the west and the 5 powers shall become one and save the world. You are one of those five powers there is no mistake. If you choose to not believe us I will have to use force but you will come will us no matter what I Have to do to convince you" Aneke moved resltlessly on her shoulder something inside her praying that the outworlder would stay. She just put it aside as worry for the world nothing else. Ariana noticed Aneke's discomfort but was busy with the Sage. "It is up to you. You must make a decision. If you decide to try to run I will find you so it is useless" she shifted on her feet. "What is your answer?"

Meru watched the whole scene with amusment. So this was the sage? This boy who was so easily defeated by the faery? She chuckled unable to help it. If he was a sage then the world was as good as doomed.

Why did everyone think it was so easy to bully him just by force? He shook his head, he didn't want to be following these women only able to walk and drool.
"Ok, if this is such an acclaimed prophecy then why haven't I heard of it? And why wasn't I told until today? And why wasn't I found years ago and trained for... for..." he snapped his fingers trying to remember, "the sage of fire. I don't even know how to make fire as an incantation. Hell, I'm not good at fires in the first place."
He shook his head, "Why do you think I'm the one? I am a theif, that's what I'm good at. You need someone to steal a crystal of fire, you come to me, you need someone to master a crystal of fire and save the universe, you go to a sage who's been practicing this kind of shit for years."
He waved his hands in the air, nearly at the end of his rope.
"How do you even know I'm the one? Should I have some weird tattoo or something? Huh? Ok, give me one single proof of evidence that backs up any of your story. That's all I'm really asking for... proof."
He nodded towards both of them. Proof.

"The only proof I have is my souls recognition of you. That is how I know you are the sage. I have also been watching you throughout your entire life. You were orphaned as a boy and became a theif to survive. You lost someone you held dear and now you work alone not trusting a single soul. But you have to trust mine. This prophecy has been kept secret through the entire world except in Crystalia. We did not want the world to know that power the crystals posses. You will not be able to use your full powers until you and the crystal become one. Please trust me on this, you will be handsomly rewarded and go down in time as the theif that saved the world" her eyes pleaded with him. Meanwhile Aneke sat on her shoulder the whole time muttering about outworlders and listing all their bad qualities. However the list seemed to shrink considerably since she met Garret. Her seemed alright. She stood up on Ariana's shoulder and her gaze met Garret "Please, as much as I hate it we need you outworlder to help save this place. Without you the world is as good as doomed"

Garret had to laugh at the situationg. They were threatening him one minute and begging him the next. He really didn't want to do this. It sounded too exotic. How could it possibly be true?
She did know all about his life though.
And he really didn't have much to do withthe rest of it.
"All right, I'll join you," he said, sitting down. It wouldn't be that bad of a thing to follow all these people. At least there was a lot of good fighters here. A lot of females as well.
Setting down near the fire he shook his head. He would be dead within a week.
"Listen, if you all don't mind, I want to go clean myself up, it's been an exhausting day."
He headed towards the stream, questions swarming his head. Sage of fire? Sage of fire? He didn't even like fire. Shouldn't the sage at least like the stuff he's empowering.
Going to a nice pool he quickly took off his clothes. In an instant he was swimming in the cool water. A moment of confusions hit him when he saw pieces of ice floating downstream. Whoah...
The sage of ice must be nearby. Either that or winter was coming early. It didn't affect the water much though, it didn't feel cold at all. Quite refreshing though.
Suddenly he saw a movement behind him. Garret ran to shore not getting a piece of clothing but his sword. He stood there, bare naked looking at the surrounding trees. A big whiff of the air... proved nothing. He just stood there, water dripping onto the bank. Who in the hell was there?

OOC: I don't know if you had a plan Poohlive .. if this interferes let me know :)

IC: Aneke felt a giggle rise in her throat as she watched the outworlder bath. He really was a nice specimen to bad he was an outworlder. "What a waste of a nice body" she murmured softly. She was so busy watching she didn't see the hawk behind her swoop down thinking she was prey. She jumped just in time and tumbled down through the bushes beneath her. Swearing under her breath she scambled to her feet. Noticing the hawk making another grab at her she blew some special dust. The hawk sneezed then took off into the sky and right into a tree branch. Aneke winced "that had got to hurt" turning she noticed she had alerted Garret to her presence. She blushed but bravely stepped out from her hiding. "Outworlder the sage wishes to speak to you, I suggest you get dressed first though" she giggled "the sage's friend Aidan is quite the jelous type" she stood there waiting for his response using all her will to keep her eyes above his waist.

Lawerence

He pulled the gaintlet of his right hand, which was still itching, and glared at the scars on it. He remembered the day he'd gotten those scars. The smell of his own flesh burning. The entire hand was covered in those ancient burn marks. He snorted.

At least the boy had joined. He looked over at the Sage. He snorted, and looked back to the fire, talking to the Sgae without looking at her. "Do you use a bit?"

He pointed over his shoulder at her horse, and then simply stared into the heart of the fire, sliding his gauntlet back on after scratching the old injury. He was impatient to be off again.

The cat followerd Victoria to her room , which she had been sent up to for bringing home yet enough animal. She kept trying to explain that the cat followed her , but her mother wouldn't listin to reason. Victoria threw herself on her bed and sighed. The cat again followed her and Victoria was getting ticked off. "Stop following me!" She screamed.
"I need to tell you a story."
"oh yay, story hour" Victoria muttered.
"shut up and listin and then you will understand. There is a lady coming to find you...her name is Ariana and her fairy Aneke...they have a message for you . I would tell you but i have sworn to keep it to myself . "
"nice story . " Victoria sat up annoyed with the cat . "I don't believe it . It was a fairy tale , like my mother makes . just a tale. Noww if you excuse me I am going to sit in the corner and wait for my boyfriend."

Meru stood off in the distance staring at the water missing her sisters as never before.

Ariana looked at Lawrence when he spoke to her. She had been lost in thought. "A bit? no I don't believe so, horses do not like them. At lease those I have spoken with do not" he looked at her as if she was crazy "yes I can speak to animals.. not really speak more then receive mental pictures. It's part of the sage thing" he nodded rolling his eyes. She noticed he had scars on his hand. Sitting down beside she motioned towards the scars. "where did you get those?" her voice was soft and curious as she looked up at him innocently.

Lawerence

He grunted. Talking with animals. Domicus looked over at him, and their minds met. "Oh, look who's talking, Mr. Bonded-mentally-with-a-wolf. If the smell of this place wasn't killing my nose, I'd bite you." Lawerence gave the old timberwolf a mental laugh, and looked at the Sage.

"The scars? My father told me not to play with fire, and I didn't listen to him. Went three months with my hand wound up tight in bandages. Never did heal very well."

He stared back into the fire. "I was four. Showed me what for, I can tell you. That was the first of the only two times I ever disobeyed my father. The second time is the reason I run around, trying my best to get myself killed."

He looked over at her. "Of course, that's a rather long story. You should probably get your rest for the morrow. Speaking of which, any idea where we're headed?"

Again with that little faery. What is it with her? He sighed, putting his sword back into the sheath. He grabbed his pants, leavng his other stuff there. He'd be back soon.
Garret looked at the faery curiously, "So, you gonna tell me why you keep calling me an outworlder? Or is that just a cute little nickname you give all the thieves of the world?"
Wiping the water out of his eyes he looked at her closely.

Victoria waited for her boyfriend. The cat came back to her and sat at her feet. "we have to talk"
Victoria jumped up"STOP TALKING TO ME! Cats don't speak! Humans do!"
"just listin to me"The cat spoke in a soft voice. "we must talk about it."
"No. I'll wait for this Ariana... if she's even real."

Ariana frowned at his worry to change the subject. "Well I believe we should head to Edilar and towards Oceania where the water sage awaits. The other sages will come afterwards. I will scry for the water sage tonight. I will leave you to your brooding" standing up she walked over to her bedding and sat down in a comfortable but changed her mind about scrying she was to weak she needed rest first. She then layed down and then she sent a mental message to Aneke. 'never mind about the sage I need rest. I will speak with him tomorrow' then she fell into a deep sleep.

Aneke:

Aneke nodded then looked at the sage "Ariana said she wishes to rest and she will speak with you tomorrow" she blushed "and as for calling you outworlder it isn't a pet name do not flatter yourself. Outworlds are the inhabitants of the outer kingdoms, Crystalia is located in the center of all the kingdoms so that is what we call you people. Would you perferr I call you something else? Conceited? Inconsiderate? or is outworlder enough for you" she smiled enjoying the bantering that always seemed to occur around Garret. Garret... since when did she start calling him Garret in her mind? Shaking her head she pushed those thoughts away and turned her attention back to the outworlder.

Smiling Garret let the outpour come. He waited for her to finish before stopping at the fire. He gazed considerably at it.
"You are a little fire ball, aren't you? I like that... too bad you aren't human," he sighed, sitting down next to the fire.
"I don't get it. I never did like fire. It's always been the one thing I couldn't control. You know? I mean, that's why I became a thief. I could control it. I could harness everything for one cause and take whatever I was going to take. It happened with just about everything, I want to control it."
He looked at everyone else, who was sleeping (not sure about Cryo's character, but she looks like she's sleeping to him).
"I guess that's why I never believed you. Whatever this is I can't control either, and that's probably why I didn't want to come with you."
He stopped, looking at the glowing faery. Then his eyes went over to the camp.
"We'll, I hope you have a nice night. If you don't mind I have some more swimming to go take care of. Goodnight Faery."

Victoria looked outside and waited for her boyfriend. She saw her mother go outside to tend to the garden. A man wearing uniform came up to her. he said something to her and her mom dropped her tools and ran into the house . moments later she burst into Victoria's room " you boy friend was killed!"
"noooooooo" Victoria cried and ran to her bed and cried into her pillow. The cat sat watching her and her mother

Aneke:

Aneke felt a strange sense of happiness and pleasure when he said he liked the way she was. Frowning she shook her head, damn outworlder was beginning to rub off on her. "Well yes I suppose I should go to sleep. Though it's not like I need any beauty sleep" she giggles softly then looked at Garret "goodnight outworlder" she then blinked up into the nearest tree and found a nice comfortable nest a bird has left behind and fell asleep.

For an entire hour he doused himself, thinking of old times and of new. He realxed, only after the water started to become cold. The night air had finally gotten to it. Drying himself he took his stuff back to the already dim fire and placed a few more logs on it.
It roared to life. Something sparkled in his eye. Could he actually do something to this fire? Technically he was supposed to be a fire mage. Was it even possible?
How about an experiment then?
This would prove if what they had said is actually true or just a waste of his time. Taking his hand out over the fire he began to concentrate on it. Make it bigger, was his only thought. The fire only had to grow, just a little bit. The warmth embraced his hand as he concentrated hard on the task at hand. His hand trembled slightly at his own strength.
Then, it happened.
It began to rain, within minutes the fire was out and Garret was left to sit there, looking up at the sky. He rolled his eyes, making a small makeshift tent to get out of the rain. It only lasted for a few minutes, but he wasn't going to take a chance. He fell asleep, even more wary of the next day then he had ever been before.

Lawerence

As the sun slowly crept over the horizon. It was morning. He got to his feet, looking down. The ground was wet. Must have rained during the night. He packed up his stuff, and got the horses ready, checking their gear, and their hooves. He climbed aboard Shan, and realized they were two horses too short. He snorted, and jumped back to the ground.

He mentally roused Domicus, and went searching for Meru. He heard the wolf give a loud howl, enough to wake anyone, and a special shock to those not used to wolves in their camps. Domicus laughed mentally, rushing into the woods as he stated that the camp was awake.

Lawerence stood next to Meru, and looked over at her. "You know, you're going to have to sleep sometime, you can't stay up every night." He turned back to the camp, and stopped after a few steps.

"If you don't hurry, someone else is going to get the only available horse between here and the next town. I'd get a move on if I were you."

OOC: sorry I haven't written RL got in the way

IC: Ariana awoke to the howl of a wolf. Her whole body hurt as she sat up. Her head pounded and she felt as if a hundred pound weight were pressing down upon her. The after effects of a meditation was all it was. Standing up she brushed herself off and looked around everyone was slowly rising. It looked as if it had rained. That is weird, rain in this time of the year? she thought to herself. Shrugging she called mentally to Aneke who appeared floating in front of her. "Aneke ready my horse please and make sure she is fed I must speak with the sage" Aneke nodded the took towards the horse. Ariana turned gathered her things and approached the sage.
