The Georgia Indictments Thread

It received attention because of Trump. Trump will never land in that jail. There’s a difference between a jail and a prison.

Only to the grievously uninformed. ie you. The reality is that Fulton has a long and storied history. The US prison system is a wealthyfare privatized for profit hellscape. And even before then our recidivism, violence and rehabilitation rates were - and still are - shameful.

You can play this two ways - and neither is a winning look. A, You're so goddamned stupid and ignorant that you were completely unaware of the atrocity that is the US prison system or B, your head is so far up Trump's ass that now you feel you must get indignant and in your usual idiotic style try to pin it on the libs. Because it's what you've been brainwashed to do.

So frankly, if you're going to claim ignorance sit down and shut the fuck up. Go do some research and learn something instead of spewing common knowledge to anyone that has paid any attention at all.

And if you're going to try to use it to try to own the libs, again sit down and shut the fuck up. All you're doing is showing what a brainwashed automaton you are.

Your use of name calling to support whatever it is you support is quite comical.

Poor FUZZYNUTS, clueless 🤣
lol and your poutrage over Fulton county jail is just as funny to the rest of us...Guess you need to vent here though. I doubt you can say this to anyone in your family...lol You histrionic fuck wad...

Nice selfie of you trimming the tree branch btw...

I’m not from Georgia so why would I know anything about Fulton county jail. Now that I’ve done some research on it I’m appalled at what’s going on there. What I find totally bizarre is that not just one but two judges denied bond to an innocent man. If harm would have been inflicted on Floyd a few judges would have some explaining to do. Merrick Garland is aware of Fulton county and could shut it down immediately. Merrick Garland and his civil rights division is supposedly conducting an investigation on Fulton county jail. If it’s anything like the investigation of the Bidens should get done by 2030.

Willis campaigned on getting Trump so spare me the libs are victims. She should be disbarred. You are not a liberal, you are a progressive Marxist. You don’t give a fuck about due process or the constitution for that matter. Trump at all cost. Your panties are in a bunch because Trump could win this.

Again you’re not a liberal.

If Trump continues his pre-trial shenanigans, he will end up in jail until sentencing, when he’ll move to a prison.

So you live under a rock. And have never heard of Johnny Cash. Or paid attention to any news stories whatsoever regarding the prison system. Or bothered to do one shred of research prior to Trump dealing with it.

Okey dokey. Seems you're going to play both cards.

Ironically you can't even define progressive marxist. Although it would be amusing to watch you try. Would you like to give it a shot?

I already have you didn’t pay attention.

Ok, do some research on other jails if you suddenly care so much and are appalled. Hint Fulton's not the worst...
What I find totally bizarre is that not just one but two judges denied bond to an innocent man.
He's up for assaulting the serving agents on a previous subpoena, or didn't you know that????
If harm would have been inflicted on Floyd a few judges would have some explaining to do.
Really, in what fantasy land is that???
Merrick Garland is aware of Fulton county and could shut it down immediately.
So now you want the Feds to trample States rights eh???? Which is it, States rights or Feds rights, you can't have your cake and eat it too!!!
Merrick Garland and his civil rights division is supposedly conducting an investigation on Fulton county jail. If it’s anything like the investigation of the Bidens should get done by 2030.
Have a citation for this>>>?

LOL my bad. That's funny.

Although I had still heard about Fulton.

Thanks for the correction! 😁
Lol, that caught me out as well. Hence an obtuse reference to Trump and his forthcoming burning ring of fire.

Easy on the big words, @adrina. I think you might have broken his brain when you typed "reality"... @icanhelp1, are you ok, sweetie? Perhaps you'd feel more comfortable over on Truth Social, where you'd be conversing with people on or about your intellectual level...

More ignorant poutrage but still no definition of progressive Marxist.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

“According to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, now at least 17 inmates have died in the months since LaSawn Thompson's death on Sept. 13, 2022. Four of those deaths came after the Department of Justice opened a civil investigation on July 13, 2023.15”

When he was just a baby
His father told him, "Son,
Because you're male and rich and white
The laws don't matter none."
But he called a man in Georgia
Just to find some votes
Now he's facing consequences
And that hurts him the most!
Far from Fulton Prison,
That's where I long to be.
But that train just keeps a rollin'
And that's what torr-churs me!

Okey dokey.

So a blog post from 5 years ago from a glibertarian professor. Putting together two words which haven't caught on in political vernacular - unless it's the word vomit from Fox et al, especially their evening entertainment programming. You probably found that and creamed your jeans thinking the points he tries to make are valid. Most of what he says is polysyllabic pseudo intellectualism aimed at low hanging fruit folks like you. I read through the piece. As well as several others. Including the gem where he compares Kyle Rittenhouse to Israel. That was an interesting read. He's also got a good volume of blog posts dedicated to the usual poutrage - everything from DEI, liberals and of course "the woke".

In short, I'm not surprised you're quoting this particular person. And equally in short, it is no surprise that you are relying on his thoughts to tell you exactly what you want to hear.

Ironically, "set things right" sounds a lot like "make America great again".

If you really want to get educated about prisons and jails you should look up the most dangerous and violent. While Fulton makes the list for county jails, it isn't even in the top three. As for prisons, it doesn't even make the top ten.

All of your posts in this thread just prove the OP's point over and over again: you don't give two shits and never did about Fulton or the state of any other jail/prison facility - not until it involved Trump. Who never really experienced any of that danger and violence. Go fig.

There is a difference between state, federal prisons and a county jail. Prisons whether state or federal house criminals already convicted in a court of law for crimes committed. Depending on the type of crime will determine class of security criminals will be housed In. No doubt prisons aren’t a fun place to be.

Fulton county is a jail, a holding area for non violent criminals awaiting arraignment or bond and usually released on their own recognizance. People in Fulton county jail are innocent till proven guilty in a court of law and are by constitutional law guaranteed equal protection, should not be subjected to cruel and abusive treatment. People don’t deserve to die waiting for their day in court. I’m not an expert on the conditions of our jails nationwide but what I see in Fulton county is a miscarriage of justice. Now that I see it I wanted to take some time to post this information to lit readers and for that you pompous progressive Marxist assholes start ridiculing me for posting evidence of criminal behavior at this jail. You fuckwits immediately dawn your TDS hats and conflate my posting as a defense for Trump. We should all be outraged by this obvious criminal behavior by the Fulton county jail. Fulton county would be better served if Willis cleaned up her own back yard rather than abusing the criminal justice system of Fulton county as a stepping stone for national prominence, a feather in her cap for the next election.

So Fulton county jail conditions suck. Have you researched allocation of funding for the jails statewide?

I guess it's good that this indictment occurred, so it brings attention to inadequate conditions of our prison systems. Maybe those I'm Georgia will follow your lead and push state leaders to improve things. 👍

you pompous progressive Marxist assholes
Is this your new empty-calorie crutch phrase of the month? You keep dropping it like it's supposed to slap. 🤷‍♂️

it doesn't mean anything and you still haven't explained what it is or how it applies to whoever you use it on.

could say "economic Communist" or "egalitarian Luddite" and you'd still be bringing the same meaningless rhetorical energy.

maybe you should stick with "woke." your lot has run it into the ground at this point, but it's still an easier dogwhistle.

looks like meadows had a bad day on the stand, possible perjury.
despite insisting he 'did not play any role' in the coordination of the slate of fake electors, under cross examination by his own lawyer admitted to 'giving a direct instruction to a campaign official in this regard'.

"He now cannot ever say, 'I wasn't doing this for the president, I was acting on my own,'" concluded Peter Odom, a former prosecutor at the Fulton County DA's office, told The Daily Beast.

Former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann
"He has a wonderful defense lawyer. I'm sure they tried to prepare him a lot. And it really showed that he was not terribly preparable, because he made a lot of mistakes in his testimony. I think he really hurt himself," he added, noting that Meadows' damning statement "is from the redirect examination. That's when his own lawyer got to ask him questions and he actually kept digging, and made it worse through his redirect examination."
