She was a much higher profile player than the other guy who took the first deal, and will no doubt have text messages, emails, notes from meetings and testimony of things that actually went down in those meets with trump and giuliani etc....

of course, team trump's trying desperately to get out ahead of things by stating 'if she tells the truth then it can only benefit trump'...so setting up the defense that she's lying on the stand, which will be hard to prove if prosecutors have the evidence to back up her words.

chesebro turned down a plea bargain before powell accepted hers. wonder how her acceptance might impact his trial, if at all.

The scuttled Chesebro deal, which was first reported by ABC News, would have seen him plead guilty to a single felony racketeering charge, agree to testify against the other co-defendants in the case, including including former President Donald Trump, and pay a $10,000 fine, in addition to writing a letter of apology. The deal was offered under Georgia’s First Offender act.

In return, Chesebro would have been sentenced to three years of probation and eligible to expunge his record when it was completed, assuming he did not violate any of the terms of his probation.
