The Guardian (Closed)

Mirela was surprised that Agis could speak so calmly of the fate that would soon befall him. Was he not upset by the idea of being trapped in the form of an animal for the rest of his life? A life that sounded as if it would be very long and very lonely judging by what he had told her of his story thus far. She wondered if there was any way to stop it from happening.

"Tell me, have you ever been in love?"

Her footing faltered and she stumbled slightly as she walked beside him, caught off guard by his sudden and personal question to her. She quickly caught herself however and continued on.

"I.. uh... well, no.." she admitted awkwardly.

She had lived her whole life in her own small village, and there had never been anyone there that she had felt that kind of a connection with. Yes, she saw the way many of the men in the village looked at her and she was not so naive as to not know what it meant. She knew that there were those among them that would be willing to overlook her "strangeness" for her beauty, but this was not what she wanted. She did not want to be with someone that merely tolerated her for the sake of using her body each night. She wanted someone who loved and accepted her completely, or she would have none of it.

Another thing about her that those in the village found odd.

"Have you then?" she asked as they continued their walk, attempting to shift the focus back off of her.

"No one has ever courted you?" Agis looks back up at her, bewildered. Wondering how odd the men in her village must be. "As beautiful as you are?"

Agis looks away suddenly, realizing he had just said that aloud. "Who...me? In love? Have you seen me?" Trying to lighten the conversation. "Actually I had, long ago. She was beautiful, intelligent and," he pauses. Would she judge him as harshly as his own kind? "And she was married." He hangs his head for a moment.

"There!" He exclaims, happy to have arrived at their destination. "The herb you seek is there."

Mirela felt her cheeks grow warm with embarrassment at the look of bewilderment in Agis' eyes when she told him that she'd never been in love. Would he think her as strange in this regard as the villagers did then? The warmth in her cheeks grew as he called her beautiful and then looked away.

She was surprised again when he began to speak of himself and admitted that he'd once loved a married woman. She was shocked of course, but who was she to judge? She'd received far too much of that in her own life to ever cast it upon someone else.

Hearing his exclamation that they had come upon the herb she needed she turned her gaze to follow his, smiling as she spotted it.

"There is so much of it!" she said with excitement as she moved to the patch growing upon the ground and knelt down to gather some, "Thank you, Agis."

She smiled at him and then focused on her work, pulling out her cutting knife from her satchel and pruning off some of the leaves that she would need to make her medicine. As she worked she glanced over at him, her thoughts still on what he had said.

"What happened to her... this woman that you once loved?" she asked him quietly.

Agis sits beside Mirela as she trims and cuts the herb from the steams. Her words recalling a time long forgotten to his thoughts. "Where I come from, the culture is different. We were not to be, not to live."

He stands, pawing at the fertile soil. "So we ran, destined to be together. Only it was not to be and she did not escape."

He pushes a big batch he had dug with his nose. "So I gave my heart to the forrest. That's my story."

He carries yet another bundle and places it in front of her. What mafe this human different than the others. She is here foraging the same as the ones before her.

The sun shown through the canopy for the first time this day. Warm rays of light covering the small field the two were harvesting. Agis takes a moment, walks a small distance from her and stretches across the ground.

"You must think I'm a monster or a freak." He says aloud, not even looking in her direction.

Mirela watched Agis as he set down the bundle before her and then moved away, stopping her work and setting down her knife in response to his words.

"I do not think you either," she told him softly, her eyes seeking his though he would not look in her direction.

"I feel sorry for you..." she began, "This mother of the forest that you speak of.. she may have saved your life, but it seems to me that she took advantage of you as well. You were forced to flee and alone, you're heart obviously broken after losing your love and barely alive as you put it... what choice did you have but to accept her bargain?"

Her brow furrowed.

"And now she repays your loyalty by sentencing you to life as an animal?... It seems needlessly cruel. The forest is old and strong now, why force you to remain here alone?"

Agis looks at Mirela, knowing she speaks the truth. "You wouldn't understand." He simple says. "The forrest has given me a purpose. Until she had, I was a nobody. The son of a nobody." He looks down at his paws. "Am I to just leave? Then what? Live my life outside this forrest as a dog, eating from trash piles?"

He knew there was nothing keeping him here other than his ties to the great oak. The oak which posses the heart he had removed over nine hundred years ago. He walks to her side and watches as she finishes her gathering. "These woods have shown me love and compassion when no one else would."

He looks around, knowing they should set out for her villagsoon. It had been a long journey to arrive at this location, and will be longer to get her home. "We should probably get going, night will decend soon." He tilts his head and looks at Mirela. "I will accompany you to your village, ensuring your safety."

At Agis' comment that they should head back to the village Mirela glanced up, noting the position of the sun as its light filtered in through the canopy of the trees. She gave a little sigh and nodded.

"Yes, I suppose you are right," she agreed as she gathered up all of the herbs they had collected and put them in her satchel.

Rising up from the ground, she began to walk with him back in the direction that they had come. As she did she pondered his words from before.

"Perhaps you are right, perhaps it is not possible for me to understand this agreement that you have with the woods and why you must keep it," she began softly, "And I do not know what kind of being this Mother of the Forest is, but... I do not believe she loves you."

Worried she might have offend him with so blunt a comment, she continued on quickly, trying to explain.

"To love someone is to care about their well being above your own, but by keeping you here and binding you with your oath she is denying you the happiness that you say you once had before. The world still needs farmers and smiths. If she allowed you to leave as an elf you could learn a trade, have a life again. You need not be desolate. You clearly have great knowledge about the woods and the plants that grow here and know how to find them, you would make a good healer like myself for example. I could even teach you."

Agis' face lite up a little as he stared down the dirt trail. "You would teach me? Why would you teach me? Most humans would rather..you know" not wanting to say the word out loud. "You know, I could teach you as well. There are many flowers, herbs and such that I'm certain you are not aware of."

"Why a healer?" He ask Mirela. It is typically older women whom he sees gathering such material. "I have seen many healers, granted none as beautiful..I mean, young as you." Looking upwards at you.

As they near her village, the sun rest on the hills to the west as the light slowly fades. Agis stops on the trail, a little panic in his voice, "Your village is not far now. I will leave you here." He looks up at her, "Will I ever see you again? I mean, help you...help you find herbs again?"

"Why a healer? I have seen many healers, granted none as beautiful..I mean, young as you."

Mirela laughed, a soft blush blooming in her cheeks again as she adverted her gaze from his and shrugged her shoulders.

"It was merely a suggestion since it is the only thing I know and could personally help you with, you could learn whatever trade you like," she told him, "I suppose I am rather young for a healer. It takes time to learn the trade well, and so guess that is why most are older... I learned from my grandmother before she passed. She too had a great fondness for reading, and writing as well. I suppose she passed that on to me... Though she did it for her work. Everything she discovered about making medicines and healing she wrote down so as to pass on her knowledge. What she did not have time to teach me herself in life I have been able to learn from her writings."

When they neared her village and stopped on the trail she stopped with him, finding herself reluctant to part ways with him now that it was time. When he said that he would like to see her and help her find herbs again she smiled, her lips spreading in to a wide grin as she nodded.

"I'd like that very much," she replied as she looked down at him, "I venture out into the woods most days, either to gather things I need or for my own enjoyment. Now that I know you are here my friend I will look for you."

She paused, the blush returning as she added, "And now that you know my scent, you will know it is me and be able to find me when I come."

Agis sat in the center of the trail, his fluffy tail wrapping around his legs. Inside he smiled brightly and a warm feeling coursed through his body. These were feelings he finds difficult to remember.

As Mirela walked the remainder of the path alone, he did not move but stayed, secretly wishing for her return.

It is dark by the time he returns to the hallow tree. Stepping inside he is greeting by the previous day. Her sweet scent hung in the small area as if waiting for his return. He curles into the pile of leaves and grass, unable to sleep immediately as her memory rushed through him with each breath. He can not remember at any point in his long life feeling this way, excited, confused, unable to form a thought. He looks to his right, brushes his paw over a tangle of roots before laying his head down again.

He rose the following morning, stepping out into the coold, damp air, with the surrounding leaves and grass covered in dew. His stomach rumbles, reminding him that he can not live off berries alone. Setting off into the thicket, Agis assumes the form of a formidable predator, a large white wolf. He knows from his past experiences, keeping his meals is the challenge.

A short time later, Agis finds himself at a small stream, a short distance from where he had left Mirela. He desperately tries to clean the evidence from his morning meal of his white fur. His ears perk high as he turns in the direction of the dirt path. The intoxication of her fills hims. What would she think if she saw him like this?

As soon as she had arrived home Mirela had set right to work using the herbs that Agis had helped her to gather to make the medicine that she'd needed them for, then she'd given herself a quick washing after her excursion in the wood and gone to bed. Early the next morning she rose again, donning fresh clothes and plaiting her hair back into a quick braid before taking the elixir to the client that she had made it for, eager finish the task so that she may return to the forest again.

In truth she had no real need to go there this day, but she hoped that she might be able to find Agis again. She wondered if he would be difficult to find. Would she have to venture very deeply like she had before? After all, she had been going into the woods for many years and had only just managed to meet him now.

Making a short stop in the market on the way out of the village, she bought herself an apple and a bit of bread and cheese for a quick breakfast, and then headed down the path she usually took into the forest, only a book and a flask of water filling her satchel this time. Coming to the place where he had left her before, her feet slowed upon the dirt path.

"Agis?" she called softly, feeling a little silly as she did.

She'd almost hoped that he'd be waiting for her here, but she supposed now that this had been a foolish thought. His home had been deep within the wood after all. Surely he would not come this far again just for her sake.

He hears her soft voice call for him. His blood warms as he inwardly smiles. But it is short lived. He remembers his current state, the stained fur covering his muzzle and neck. Yet he finds himself unable to stop himself.

"I'm here Mirela" he calls out, only a few yards off the trail, hidden inside the thicket. "I wanted to make sure you were alright."

The large, muscular frame of the wolf can be seen moving through the brush as he approaches her on the trail. Stepping into the clearing, his ice blue eyes lock with hers. His stained white fur completely visible to Mirela.

"Please," he says in a calm voice, "do not be alarmed. It's me."

Agis walks a little closer to where Mirela stood on the trail, his snout tilted into the air. Her scent has grown intoxicating. Yet this morning it's not only hers amongst them. "We should probably move further down the path" looking around as he speaks. "I fear others journey out this morning as well."

Starting down the trail, he curiously ask, "So my dear, what do we search for this day?"

Hearing Agis call back to her, a bright smile had appeared on Mirela's face in response. He had come after all! Spotting a large animal moving through the thicket, she turned just in time to see a large white wolf, its fur still stained from a recent kill step out onto the trail she'd been walking. The beast was magnificent, but at the menacing sight of the blood she could not help but let out a small startled gasp and step back a bit. That is, until she heard Agis speak to her again.

"Please, do not be alarmed. It's me."

Her eyes lock with his and she forces herself to calm, knowing from her encounter with him before that despite his current appearance Agis would not do her any harm. At he announces that there are others in the wood that day and that they must move on she nods in agreement and walks with him.

"So my dear, what do we search for this day?"

She smiled, trying to focus on the blue of his eyes and not the stained fur on his face.

"There is nothing specific that I need to find this day," she explained, "But I was hoping that you might be able to show me some of the herbs that you said you were certain I would not know about as of yet."

He felt his blood warm, thinking she had no real reason to vist the forrest today but chose to anyway. "It is a distance from here. Further than our journey yesterday. But if you want to." He says, giving her an option to leave, hoping she stays.

Their travel leads them down a trail very few have ever traveled. The come across a flowing creek. The water smoothly caressing the smooth stones of the creek bed. Agis stops and walks to the creek, dipping his face and neck into the cold mountain run off. He looks back Mirela before calling her over.

"Mirela, drink. The water here is safe" as he lowers his dace to the water to drink. "We can rest here for a few if you like. We still have a ways to go."

Agis watches as she cups her hands and drinks for the cool water. Her beauty iis unmatched by anything he had ever witnessed. He lowers his head, his thoughts return to the harsh reality of things. He is monster, will always be a monster. Yet she returned to the forrest. An idea struck Agis, something he had never considered.

"We have a long ways to walk still. If you like, I could carry you." He says his body tensing and contorting on ground before her. His pain a reminder of his sworn oath.

With a deep breath, Agis jumps nimbly to his hooved feet. A cloud of mist exhaled from his large nostrils as he stood before her, choosing the form of magic not seen inside these woods for hundereds of years.

The large black stallion towered over her. A single, black horn rose from his head. The large hooves crowned by fur as his long black mane flowed in the breeze. The ice blue eyes widen as he looked down at Mirela. "Come, I will take you to a place untouched by human hands."

He bends his front legs, stretching the other out front as he kneels to aide Mirela on his back.

One moment Mirela had been sitting beside Agis in his wolf form as she drank from the creek, the next thing she knew he was rising up before her in the form of an animal that she had only heard about in the songs and stories of her people from long ago.

"Come, I will take you to a place untouched by human hands."

She stared at him, wide blue eyes blinking in disbelief and her lips parting a bit into a small 'O' as she watched the unicorn that he had become kneel before her so that she might mount him. She rose to her feet and slowly moved towards him, stretching out her hand and softly touching his muzzle, her fingers stroking down the length of his velvety nose.

"There truly is no creature that you can't turn in to, is there?" she commented in amazement, her eyes looking into his as she gave him a small smile and moved to his side.

She climbed atop his back, her legs straddling him now as her hands threaded into his mane to help hold herself steady.

"There truly is no creature that you can't turn in to, is there?"

He starts down the trail, his hooves heavy on the dirt path. "It will all end soon. I must choose a form to live out my days. A new guardian will be selected by the forrest. I've been the guardian here for close to a millennia. I will be allowed to live my life out here amongst the trees as a mortal."

Agis picks up the pace to a gallop, his black mane flowing in the wind across his face. He knows this path all to well. It leads to an area of the forest densely packed with trees and herbs. It is the only place he feels comfortable enough to reveal himself, his true self, to the creatures of the forrest.

A couple hours have past as Agis slows to walk. His breath deep and labored as he does. The trees are tall, almost blocking the suns rays as the light here is dim. He kneels, lowering his head for Mirela to dismount.

Feeling her leave him, Agis stands back up as he walks slowly to a the large trees. "Mirela, here." He calls her over. "This moss, down along the base can be placed in bandages. It has natural clotting as well as antiseptic properties."

As Mirela gathers along the base of the large tree, Agis steps back down to the trail. He feels dizzy, as if he over exerted himself during their travels. He searches for a place to hide, to conceal himself from her as his body needs to replenish.

He finds nothing more than a bush just off the small trail. Stepping behind, his body bends and flexes most painfully. He lays on a side, attempting to right himself with an outstretched arm. He is naked and in his true elven form. His chest rising and falling with each breath. His pale white skin seems to glow against the dark soil of the under growth. His hair as white as his complexion, matted from years of neglect.

The couple hours ride seemed to fly by as Mirela rode upon Agis' back. Amazed by his stamina, she'd held fast to his mane, watching the scenery of the forest passing by as he'd galloped through the wood until he'd slowed to a stop and knelt to allow her to dismount.

Following him over to the tree and noting the moss as he pointed it out to her and explained its special properties, she smiled and thanked him before kneeling down at the base of the tree where it was growing and began to gather some into her satchel, using her small knife to carefully preen it away from the tree. So engrossed she was in her task that she did not notice when he walked away from her and back down to the trail.

"This will be very useful, thank you for showing it to me Agis."

Hearing no reply, she paused in her work.

"Agis?.."

She turned and looked behind her, surprised to find him gone. Knowing he could not be far, she rose with knife still in hand and tried to spot him, an easy enough task considering he had last been in the form of a very large stallion... but he was no where to be found.

She grew worried now, and began to move back towards the trail. She saw no place among the trees here where he could possibly be hidden from her view other than a large bush just off the trail, and so she quickly moved towards it.

"Agis?.. Is everything alright? Why did y-"

As she peers over the bush the question dies upon her lips as they fall open with a gasp and the knife falls from her grasp as she stumbles back a step in surprise, her eyes growing wide and staring with shock and awe at the sight before her.

His body ripped in muscles from the many years spent within the forrest. As he attempts to stand, his long white hair falls to the mud around him. His arms bulge as each vien strains against his pale white skin. He pulls his knees beneath him as he pauses on all fours. His attempt to hide his vulnerability from Mirela failed.

"Agis?.. Is everything alright? Why did y-"

"Please, look away. I don't want you to see me this way." Agis answers her.

His head hangs low to the ground as he breaths deep. His body is exhausted and unable to maintain his guardian form. He tries to pull his right leg up in an attempt to stand on his own. He falls to the grass, rolling to his side.

He lays there, vulnerable and naked. His face covered by his long, unkept hair. "I must look pathetic now. A strong magical creature reduced to a pile of useless flesh."

He lays back in the grass, his head and shoulders flat to the ground. His chest rises and falls with each breath. The tree tops barely visible through his knotted hair.

"Not what you expected right?"

"I didn't know what I should expect..." Mirela replied, her voice trailing off as she looked at him laying upon the ground.

She had to admit that she had indeed wondered a bit as to what his true form might look like, but this... this was beyond her imaginings.

"You don't look pathetic."

He had asked for her to look away, and while she wanted to be respectful of his wishes, she just could not seem to stop herself. She found her gaze drawn to him, unable to stop as she took him in, admiring the strange yet beautiful paleness of his white skin and hair and how they seemed to glow before her eyes, even matted and covered in dirt and mud as they were now.

With a blush her eyes ran over his body, completely exposed to her now as he lay upon his back. She could not help but notice the sharp lines and planes of his muscles: his toned arms and broad chest as it rose and fell with his breathing, the defined ridges of his abdomen, the strong look of his thighs and calves. He'd said that he'd been guardian of the forest for nearly one thousand years, but his body still seemed so young and strong! Had he not aged at all in all this time?!

She tried to resist, but she found her eyes wandering over the length of his manhood as well, the sight of it making her take a gulp as the blush deepened in her hair cheeks before her gaze quickly moved back up to his face. She wanted to get a clear look of it as well, but it remained covered by his hair.

Slowly moving towards him, she pulled loose the ties of her cloak at her neck and slid it off from around her shoulders, draping it over him to conceal his nakedness as she knelt on the ground beside him. He seemed so weakened and vulnerable now. Their ride here must have taken more out of him then she had realized.

"I'm sorry, I should not have asked you to bring me all this way. Here... rest for a bit." she told him as she lifted his head and rested it upon her lap for a pillow.

She reached up to the back of her head and pulled loose a hair comb there that she had been using to keep the top section of her hair pulled back away from her face. The dark curls fell free as she began to use the prongs of the comb to work out the knots and tangles in his long hair, a smile coming to her face as the pale blue eyes that she was now so familiar with came more clearly into view.

"There you are.."

Agis has never felt such kindness in all his years. Here he lays on the cold, damp grass as Mirela does her best to remove the tangles and knots from his hair.

There you are.."

Agis smiles up at her. Finially able to demonstrate his emotions upon his face. "Please, do not apologize. I brought you here. Remember?"

Agis sits up, stretching his back. The muscles tight and sore. He pulls legs unde him as he again attempts to stand on his own two feet. Something Agis has not done in a very long time. His knees a little wobbly, much like that of a new born fawn, but he manages to support himself.

He looks back at Mirela, holding her cloak against his lower body. "Mind if I barrow this for a few minute?" He as with a large smile.

His skin had been hiden for many years from the sun. He sought to warm his body in the rays of light passing through the canopy. With each step, his strength seemed to return as ge walked to a small clearing. He stood in the rays, let beams of light touching his skin as he drops Mirela's cloak to the grass.

The warmth covered his body as he stood there, arms outstretched from his side, eyes closed. After a couple minutes, he remembers that he is not alone. He turns his head in the direction of Mirela.

"Forgive" he tells her, bending and picking her cloak off the grass. "The sun feels good against my skin. Join me, please."

He takes a seat on the grass, leaning back on his arms. He looks over at her, convinced she is more beautiful today tthan she was yesterday. He reaches over with his hand, his fingers ttouch her dark hair. He pauses, slightly embarrassed.

"You mind?" He ask.

Mirela had watched as Agis had finally been able to rise to his feet and walk over to the small clearing nearby. It was obvious that his body was not used to the more human movements. She wondered how long it had been since he had last taken this form.

As he soaked up the sun's rays and the cloak dropped she once more found herself having difficulty adverting her gaze even though she knew she should. Her eyes bashfully roamed over his form once more for a moment before bringing her focus up to his face, a smile touching her lips again when she saw the way he basked in the light with his eyes closed and his arms outstretched. When he suddenly opened them and turned to her she blushed, embarrassed to have been caught watching him, but he didn't seem to mind.

Upon his invitation she rose and joined him, sitting down beside him in the grass and leaning back on her arms as he had done, careful to leave a little space between them as she tilted her face up and enjoyed the feel of the light upon her skin as her eyes closed for a moment.

It does feel nice... she thought to herself before feeling his soft touch upon her hair and opening her eyes to look at him.

"You mind?"

She shook her head.

"No, it's alright," she told him softly, a bit of a blush returning to her cheeks again.

Agis grins as she blushes, pushing her hair behind her ear. "Thank you for being kind to me" he tells her. "Oh, and for the cloak" he laughs aloud.

"This is a first for me. This, uncontrolled morphing" he looks back at the sun, closing his eyes yet again. "I admit, it feels nice to have the sun and breeze on my bare skin. Unimpeded by scales or fur." He chuckles. "Fur."

He looks back in Mirela's direction, "The more time I spend with you, the more it baffles me as to why you are single. Iveseen men in your village, truely there must be one you fancy" leaning over and nudging her with his shoulder.

Agis is obviously digging for information. He truely lacks the social skills to charm her or flirt. Besides, who has ever heard of an elf and human falling for each other.

"Not meaning to pry, but you seem to have a kind and caring heart. Don't human men seek those qualities?" He continues.

The sun hangs low in the sky as they continue their conversation. A few minutes pass as Agis tries his best to position her cloth over his waist. "We should probably seek shelter for the night. We will never make it back to your village before night fall."

Agis stands, holding the cloth with one hand as he reaches with his other to help Mirela to her feet. "There is cave this way. I've spent many night there before."

They approach the cave as the sun dipps below the tree canopy. The night air has a slightb chill to it. "Wait herev, I'll fetch supplies for a fire." He wraps her cloak around her shoulders. It would be far easier to gather with both hands and she could use the warmth it offers.

Returning in the darkness, Agis quickly piles the wood and tinder before starting the fire with a hand drill he assembled. As the cave illuminated in the red and orange light. agis movescloser to the flames. Many of years spent covered in dense fur, he finds it difficult to warm himself in his original form.

Naked, he sits as modest as he could, not wanting Mirela to be anymore uncomfortable around him as he suspects she currently is. His hands run up and down his arms hoping the friction will aid in his warmth. He looks over the fire at Mirela. "Give me a moment to warm by the fire and I'll gather some food for us."

"Not meaning to pry, but you seem to have a kind and caring heart. Don't human men seek those qualities?"

Mirela had smiled at Agis' compliment and laughed softly in response to his digging.

"Yes, I am sure there are qualities I have that men seek.." she admitted with a smirk.

She was not a fool. She had seen the way that men in the village looked at her and knew they found her attractive enough.

"But I also have many qualities that they don't," she patiently explained, "The men in my village don't seem to approve of women thinking too much for themselves and speaking their mind about things, or being self-reliant, or reading as much as I do, or women reading at ALL really..."

She laughed slightly again.

"And therefor I don't 'fancy' a single one of them... I'd rather be on my own than bound to someone that didn't truly love and accept me, and that I didn't love in return."

-------------

She'd enjoyed speaking with him as their conversation continued, not noticing how much time had passed until he pointed out that they would need to seek shelter for the night and mentioned the cave, leading her to it and then leaving her there while he gathered firewood for them. After he had returned and built the fire, she could not help but note the way he ran his hands over his arms trying to get warm.

"Give me a moment to warm by the fire and I'll gather some food for us."

Doing her best to ignore his nakedness, she rises and moves over to the other side of the fire to join him. Taking the cloak from around her shoulders and placing it over his, she knelt beside him.

"Please, take this.." she pleaded with him, "I have my clothes and the fire to keep me warm enough."

Agis pulls the cloth over his shoulders tight. Instant warmth caressed his skin. "I'm not particularly use to my current situation, the lack of fur that is."

His gaze moves from the dancing flames up to Mirela as she stood beside him. "Please sit" holding out his hand to aid her.

"I completely understand your feelings towards those in your village. There is nothing worse than being in love with someone who does not love you back. Worse yet, denies any feelings for you publicly." He turns back towards the flames, grabbing a stick and stoking the fire. "A lesson I learned the hard way."

With a final jab into the coals, hot embers rose to the roof of the cave. "You must be hungry. Let me gather us something to eat."

Agis stands, dropping her cloak to the ground beside her before making his way to the entrance of the cave.

********************************

A short time has passed when agis walks back into the cave. Propped up on his shoulder is the rear leg of a dear. The veins inside his arms appear swollen as his muscles pressed them tight against his skin. His chin red with blood as is his neck and chest. His pale, naked body glistening in the light of the fire.

He places the leg a few feet back from the fire as he looks over to Mirela. "I'm going to clean up" he says in a most embarrassed tone.

He walks outside the cave to the stream just down the path. The air not as cold against his skin as previous. He steps inside the shallow stream and begins to wash the kill from his body. His muscles tight and swollen from the hunt. The cool runoff of the stream washing over his legs as he bends, gathering the water and rubbing it over his neck and chest. The red stained water ripples down his stomach before pouring over his cock. He repeats over and over until he certain the blood is gone from his chest.

When Agis had announced he was going to 'gather' something to eat Brianna had expected he would be fetching berries as he had the day before or something similar, as such she was greatly shocked when he arrived with the deer leg tossed upon his shoulder and blood covering his chin, neck, and chest. The sight of the blood admittedly started her and she gasped at the sight of it, partially because for a split second she feared it might be his own, but even after she realized he was not injured and that it must be from the deer the sight of it was still rather gruesome and made a trickle of instinctive fear run through her as her heart beat harder within her chest.

Had he changed back into a beast of some kind to make the kill or had he taken down the deer in his current elven form? She was too afraid to ask.

Noticing the embarrassment in his tone as he quickly left again she felt guilty for her fearful reaction to the sight of him, worried that she had caused him to feel badly. She knew that she had no reason to be afraid of him. Despite how he may have looked or what predatory actions he might be capable of, she knew that he would not do her harm.
