I know that clothing sizes vary between shops, but a medium tshirt and a size 16 skirt are making me very happy today!

welcome back...even though i haven't been posting so much, i have missed seeing your name. :rose:

SEELA!!
Welcome back!
That is so awesome that you are having fun and finding all sorts of wonderful things

Great to see you here again!

*pounce*

I forgive your absence because I am certain I've been playing in your dream world. :cattail:

Good to see you about.:kiss:

Thank you! :rose:

And wenchie, actually quite a few people from here have been playing in my dream world. They've been strange moments, as I've never met anyone from here, but hey, I appreciate a weird dream as much as the next person. :)

Dear Cold From Hell,

Die! Die! Die!

I feel like a cottonheaded ninnymuggins.

Hi seela.

So, is it feed a cold and starve a fever, or starve a cold and feed a fever? I'm honestly not sure any more, so I binge and purge whenever I get a cold. I'm still alive so that must be the answer. ;)

I think it's build-protective-cocoon-with-a-six-foot-berm-of-tissues a cold. Or maybe bore-a-hole-in-head-with-index-finger-while-watching-12-monk-episodes a cold. Or complain-online-a-cold. Those are the traditional sayings, I believe.

Ok, so I accidentally blurted on Keroin's inspiration thread. My only excuse is I'm exhausted and inspiration and isolated both start with i.

Anyway, I'm about to bitch about girl problems. If you're squeamish, DON'T READ IT.

Ok, so seven days ago I started bleeding. And I mean BLEEDING. I was going through a tampon every twenty minutes and passing clots as big as my fist. So I called the on-call OBGYN and she prescribed progesterone, and told me to make an appointment asap. So I did, that appointment was yesterday.

My doctor, at first, said I just needed a low dose of estrogen for the month, and that then I should be fine, but she wanted to check and make sure I didn't have a polyp or something. I bled all over her floor. There was blood dripping off the pad thing she put me on. She got done with my exam (no polyps or lesions), and said 'never mind. The estrogen wont' be enough'. so she gave me some birth control pills and had me take four right there, then two today, and two tomorrow. Then i'm supposed to take the rest one at a time. Then she prescribed me iron, because there's no way i'm not anemic, and sent me to get blood tests. She thinks I have a CLOTTING DISORDER. Like I'm not already sick enough, now i might have a clotting disorder! It's either that or something is really wrong with my uterus. I don't know which pisses me off more.

Worst case scenario? I might have to have a hysterectomy. Fucking great. Just fucking great. Or I might have a permanent clotting disorder, to make all my other health problems worse. Just. Fucking. Great. Cause I'm nto sick enough. I don't have a list as long as my arm of health problems. LETS JUST ADD TO IT!!!

oh wow that SUCKS, graceanne. I had a kind-of-similar problem where instead of bleeding TONS, i just bled all the time. I finally went in after 3 months of non-stop bleeding. She had me do something similar to what your gyne is doing with the b/c pills (lower number of pills, though), and it DID shut the whole thing down.

If you want to see for yourself how likely it is you have a clotting disorder, you could always numb an area up with ice and give it a good (sterile-as-possible) cut and see what happens. Honestly, it's probably what I would do if someone told me that.

Personal opinion, though, I think if you had a major clotting disorder, you'd have other symptoms. I'd imagine you'd be bruising pretty damned easily, and probably badly. Fuck, it's winter, so maybe even nosebleeds? I am not a doctor and I don't know humans very well, but it strikes me that if you were bleeding THAT BAD and it was a clotting problem, you'd be having other issues too. I dunno though. I hope you don't :(

Or not. With my luck I wouldn't be able to get it to stop bleeding, and then I'd have to go to the ER, and tell them that I cut myself, and then I'd go on the list of cutters and my quality of care would go downhill. Worse case scenario, they'd take my kids.

Well ... I do all that stuff. I'm on auto immune suppressants and I'm anemic, none of that is out of the ordinary. Heck, a few months ago I woke up with a black eye, and no one is sure how. (Although, my mom questioned me pretty closely.) I take longer to heal, this is expected with the meds I'm on. But never this bad. We've always figured take how long it takes anyone else to heel and double it with me.

Oh Gracie, honey!
Thoughts and prayers are with you sweetie. Feel free to drop me a PM any time you need someone to talk to. I've had a clotting disorder of a different sort.

You might start upping your intake of veggies like broccoli, brussel sprouts, kale, etc; stuff with increased Vitamin K. It helps thicken the blood.

Ahhh I see. actually, given that, could it be a complication of your medications? I'm sorry that you keep going through health issues. It doesn't sound very fun AT ALL. :( <hug> I hope you can get everything figured out.

In a dream last night, I ran into Michele Bachmann, the presidential candidate, and she was trying to seduce me. She said she hadn't been laid in years and was grabbing my crotch.

I woke in a cold, cold sweat.

if there is a clotting issue it may well be from your meds. look them up online and read the list of side effects. You may also have a bleeder in your uterus. Ask doc about a balloon ablation rather they ripping out your insides. Worked pretty ok for me for the last 5 yrs although problems are begining to crop up again now. Good luck.

I'm sorry for all of the crap you're going through, gracie. Healthy thoughts headed your way.

Good idea. And God knows, I love me some brussel sprouts. :nana:

I'm sorry, Graceanne!

Graceanne, many many gentle hugs:rose:

Thank you, everyone, for your good thoughts and hugs. Test results came back today, and it's not a clotting disorder. Thank God. That leaves something's wrong with my uterus. My doctor is going to leave me on estrogen for the rest of this month, and next month, too, and we'll see how that works for me. I'm going to pick up some wild yam cream as soon as I get some extra money, because I don't want to take synthetic estrogen for very long.

maybe I really am just a girl that can't say no. :(

Are you in a turrible fix?

It's one of those days...
I actually read that thread title as "Annoy me in 5 BDSM words".

Ditto on the "one of those days"

When I mis-read something to that degree I know I'm in a dark place and its off to find a valerian caplet and a chocolate bar... And a bottle of something strong that warms as it goes down;)

I. feel. so. much. better now. I FINALLY got some good quality playtime.

And apparently if I hurt my nipples enough, it's really. fucking. awesome.

Well, I stopped reading after the third sentence in your initial post.

But best wishes, graceanne, for whatever ails you that I am not going to read about.
