the weather today is very tiring, 90, cloudy and humid and when the sun does break through it's scorching. *sigh*

got out fairly early this morning and picked another half gallon of green beans, got them cleaned and into the freezer. H went out while I was still in bed to pick up gas for the mowers but it's just too yucky out there for me to feel like doing anything much at all.

Is the Canadian smoke reaching you guys???



Working outside yesterday and today was a total no go for this guy - tomorrow through the weekend is still a bit iffy.

apparently is was around the past two days but not so much today... can't really notice it, no smell and no obvious 'smokiness' just the normal greys of this humid weather. The heat, though... the outdoor thermo is reading 99 and it's only supposed to be around 90. Oh well.

The smoke was so bad here that the weather person made a point of telling the viewers that there were actually no clouds in the sky, despite it being fairly dark and murky outside.

It should have been a cloudless and “bright sunshiny day”.

I really like it, I’m a rather juvenile game player, I just do it to relax and to me the colors and graphics are so much better, the bigger screen is more like my ROG, which is nice, but it’s lighter than the ROG. I do love being able to share the new MarioKart World game with my youngest two, even though they don’t have S2s.

The Chief told me the graphics are about PS4 level which is about my speed.

Well, in my short time on Lit, I have noticed a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colors. The majority are round and pinkish. And to be honest, a triangle one would unnerve me. But I’m willing to keep searching for science’s sake.

was watching some old Graham Norton episodes last night on youtube, and Ralph Feinnes was talking about his long silky robes and having to wear women's tights under them during his stint as Voldemort and how they'd keep slipping down which meant he couldn't walk with the elegance the part demanded. He got so fed up with the crotch being at knee level that he asked the costumier if they could be cut... and so he spent the majority of his time as Voldemort wearing cut off tights legs (surely they could have provided hold-up stockings for him???) with garter belts. I'm kinda glad I didn't know that at the time and now I can never watch his performance again without thinking about Ralph Fiennes in a garter belt.

stormy rain yesterday and again this afternoon... went out into the veggie garden and got another lot of beans, but the corn, and fencing around it, had ALL blown over where the soil had gotten so soft and let the corn fall so easily. Guess I'm out there tomorrow trying to stand them all back up again and get the fencing back in place. Fortunately, most the roots are still in the ground, at least partially, and with the soil being so full of moisture they'll probably not die. I've planted corn there at least 3 times before this and NEVER had this issue. *sigh*

sitting through the obligatory church service today, my eyes were wandering... taking in the stained glass windows' light and so on. They stopped upon some wall decorations of various different crosses stitched (I think) on strips of cloth. The colours were what got me thinking: why did it look so familiar? Was it my old church school colours, or what? Took me about half a sermon to realise why it looked so familiar and spoke of England: the length of the strips were like scarves and the colours were Westham footie club! Claret, blue and with gold adornments! Yay for the Hammers!
