The Let's Help Each other Get Healthier Thread!!!

I have a humira treatment on tuesday, and I'll know what my weight is then. I didn't lose any weight at the last appointment.

Bump...bump...bump...

Where oh where is everyone???????

Did my bi-weekly weigh-in today down to 181...so minus 4 lbs.

i have upped my exercise from 3X a week to 5X a week over the past two weeks, so i think that's helping.

I'm not sure what my weight it exactly. I know I've gone off atkins after surgery and cant wait until I get get back to the gym after my appointment on Wednesday, although all I can do it aerobic, no weights.

I'm still at the 161 mark, though hubby thinks I've slimmed down some due to a pick I sent him :)

On other fronts, I finally mentioned my heavy depressions during my PMS week to my OB/GYN and I go in for a review/screening on Wednesday. They done blood tests to check my thyroid as a precaution and were the first to mention the possibility of PMDD. They're hopeful, if it does lean towards depression, that it can be controlled with therapy sessions but aren't ruling out medication if it's needed.

WOW! good on ya.... go HottieMama go.... At this rate, you'll be in tip top shape in no time!

Yeah great job Hottie Mama!

Right now I feel absolutely wretched. I'm starting to take it out on the people around me. So I'm going to the doc tomorrow for, no doubt, more shots in the ass.

In the mean time, my exercise level is NOT where I want it to be, I'm eating shit I shouldn't but this is the way I'm surviving. So my white shorts are a little snug, too fucking bad. I'm surviving here and it's damned hard.

I'll be good another day when I don't feel like I'm painfully dying.

*chuckles*

Furry...excuse my ignorance, but what do you receive shots for?

i'm sorry you feel horrible. i think everyone needs to go easy on themselves when they feel like utter shit.

:rose: Hope you feel better soon.

Would you believe sinuses? Sounds stupid and inconsequential doesn't it?

No...not to me. i have had sinus problems since i was about 20. (self-induced due to drug use) i wouldn't wish sinus pain on anyone. It's truly hell on Earth.

i sincerely hope you feel better.

Mazuri -

If you are plateaued, I would do some calorie cycling. It does mean counting calories but it works. Basically your metabolism settles in if you eat the same amount of calories every day and it sets there. If you vary your calories throughout the week, it will force your metabolism to keep guessing. Lots of plateaus are related to people not taking in enough calories - we start dieting, lose weight and slowly quit eating as much (since we aren't hungry) and pretty soon we find we are only eating 2 meals a day (so not good). There is a formula you can plug your numbers into and it will give you the calorie goals for a week. PM me if you are interested in this. Body builders use this method alot and it really is effective for breaking plateaus.

I made my weight loss goal that I had set for myself to reach by January 2008 so I decided to shoot for another 5 pounds - will see if my body agrees. I finally seen a weight I haven't seen in 16 years. It is a trip!

Sir has had me start a journal at www.fitday.com

It will help me track my eating habits, excercise, etc.

First off...LOVE LOVE LOVE your AV...

Second...i have an account at FitDay too but i don't use it. If LC ordered it i would, but otherwise it just annoys me to put all the foods in there and such.

Thank you. :)

I just started mine today... knowing I have to show him and other people, makes me consider my foods differently.

For example- I had considered pasta with chicken for dinner. He mentioned that there were too many carbs... so I decided on an omelette with ham, smoked cheese, green peppers and mushrooms.

Thanks. I can't get much worse at this point. It just has to get better.

I suck. I do not have the time to eat! I just don't. Plus my allergies are really bad and one nostril is swollen, scabbed, and sore.

Sorry gracie. Can you try making some stuff you can eat on the run???

Well, I was drinking V8's in the morning, but I ran out, and I just haven't had the time to get to the store.

And *hugs*. You need to talk?

No..i'll be ok...

Thanks though. :rose:

just popping in

im doing ok.... screwed up my eating yesturday with a candy binge, but over all doing well. gym, dance, and overall good eating.

Giving this a bump. I was looking for it for motivation and wow it's been awhile. With the holiday stretch coming up soon I think this is the type of thing that goes behind the scenes easily.

Since it's been cooler here (79 is almost chilly and beats 90) I have started walking again. It's nice to get out and about without having to worry about the heat. I've also been getting back to the weights so whoohoo for that. Now if I can keep it up I'll be even happier.

How is everyone else doing?

My last weigh in was 158, finally broke the 160 mark! yay! This puts me at about 40 pounds lost since January. Things have been busy so I've not been able to stick to an exercise routine, but the holidays means it'll be busier at work so that'll help. I've volunteered to work most of them so I won't binge at family gatherings :)

My main downfall is potato chips so I've simply stopped keeping them in the house in any great amounts. Now to pass that 150 mark...

205 lbs! Yesssssss.

I would look SO weird at 205#. I got down to 230# and looked funny. Big head, scrawny arms. Didn't like it. I'm happiest at around 240-250#. My body is just not built to be be any smaller.

And the govt height/weight charts think I should be 185#? Who are they kidding?
