The lonely hearts thread

Do you think it's worse being lonely and married or lonely and single? Any opinions?

Its way worse to be lonely with someone around than lonely on your own. Somehow the extra pain of being ignored is worse. Ill take being alone anyday over being ignored.

i'm feeling really down and lonely tonight. i miss being held and cuddled, sometimes it sucks being single. Does anyone else out there ever feel this way?

{{{huggsss}}} I feel that way all the time, hon. And I'm married.

i can't imagine anyone ignoring their partner. i'd do everything in my power to pump up my marriage so i could be happy myself.

worse when with someone. I'm alone now and feel lonely but it is not as bad as it was when I was with my partner and felt lonely.

No, darlin'. you aren't. You've friends and a following here. Though I can sympathize, for even here, I am often left alone.

Tis true. Guess it's tougher on guys. And, I have a tendency to get to like someone, but, alas, they have other interests.

Sorry you're feeling down. Believe me, I know how you're feeling. Can we come here if we finally have someone but are separated by a big distance? I still get really lonely. I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you, sweetie. Just because you happily have someone does not keep you from being lonely. Distance relationships suck ass.

Thank you, pink - you are very kind. Hope you find a special someone who knows how to treat you well.

being with someone and being lonely is tragic because there was a time when the two of you couldn't keep your hands off each other and you always thought about the other one, and now you can't connect. But even then there are times when you connect. When you're single and lonely, there's absolutely no chance of having someone to help lift your loneliness even for a minute or two.

Right now I'm both. I went out with a woman a couple weeks back and when we kissed goodnight, it went farther than I wanted it to, and now I don't know how to break it off with her. She's a great gal, but I have no strong chemistry with her. And it frustrates me because even though the physical side is great, we have no connection, and when I'm away from her, she's not on my mind all that much.

How you feeling tonight? ;)

Better then last night, thank goodness. Lots of tears were shed last night.

i too am distanced from someone very special. He's wonderful but not in my life full-time, it's not the same as having someone 24/7. i truly miss that.

That's good to hear you feeling better. I understand you totally, being distanced from someone special is really hard, though its worth sacrificing, trust me.I myself is away with my man for now,but I'm surviving and our love even getting stronger,of course all of us are in different situation, somehow something similar...oh..geez...confusing ha,lol..I hope I do makes sense :D

If you are beginning to cry deeply that is because the heart is releasing the sadness it has been holding onto for a very long time. Its ok to cry, sometimes, good exercise but don't cry always ;)
