Ahhh, #1 vs #2 tomorrow for Big Ten supremacy. Good luck but Tucker is gonna light them up.

Bucks are at home tho, so we'll see. :)

I've been pleasantly surprised by Wisconsin this year. I never really think of them as a basketball powerhouse.

We aren't but we have a coach now who is going to make us one for a long time to come. Watch out for Bo Ryan.

Actually, I went to Purdue. And regionally I root for the Vols.

I prefer UoL to UK, though. I guess we can still be friends. :D

Well, I guess we can, even though the Vols took Bruce Pearl from UW-Milwaukee.

I'm a cheddarhead thru and thru.

Sounds like it. I guess you're a Packer fan, too.

How deep is the snow?

Got 8 inches last night and currently there is a blizzard going on, drifts, snow, ice, hard to tell how much we have right now. All I know is I have 11.5 inches in the pool at work.

And yes I am a Packers fan, we still suck even with Favre coming back.

I still have an affinity for the Cubs though. The only team I will ever truly love. But they still suck too. As always, there is always next year.

I roomed with a girl from Elgin in college. She quickly converted me. That was back when WGN still showed almost all the day games.

*sigh*

I can still remember when we had Greg Maddux the first time. I'm very disappointed in the pitching. Why do they keep signing Wood and Prior when they have never been healthy? Zambrano has been the best the last several years. I hope Lou can make a difference. Now if he could just persuade A-rod...

I'll probably get shot for asking this, but don't you think the Packers are hurt more than helped by Favre's reluctance to retire?

WGN is the reason I am a Cubs fan. I remember ALWAYS watching Cubs games in the afternoons. I was a latch key kid and it kept me out of trouble. I still listen to WGN radio, Santo is sooo fun the listen to during the game.

The year Andre Dawson hit 49 homers and was MVP for a last place team my Dad and I went to the last home game of the year. A kid by the name of Maddux had just been brought up from the minors and pitched in relief that day. My Dad and I looked at each other and said, "Maddux who? He'll never last."

They signed Wood to a one year deal cuz they are afraid he'll be healthy this year at last and show what he really is. After this year he'll be gone. He can't stand up to pitching every five days and he certainly isn't made up to be a reliever. Prior I have better hopes for. He just has to learn the difference between being hurt and being injured.

Watch out for what Zambrano will cost them to sign. They'll do it because they hate the thought of another Maddux slipping away. It'll cost them 140 million over 7 years though, but it'll be worth it.

*so doesn't want A-rod*

As for the Pack attack....they have no alternative to Favre. Rogers isn't a NFL quarterback and they have no one else to play. I bet they draft someone this year and he'll take over next year because I am certain Favre will not play next year. It doesn't matter though the Packers will still be bad next year. I was really surprised how we played this year. I thought it was a four win team at best.

I love Ron Santo. I'm not old enough to remember him playing third base, but I like listening to him, too. Used to be able to listen to WGN-radio on the internet, but damn MLB has to put their fingers in every pie.

Maddux has always been my favorite player. I guess because we share the same birthday (so does Pete Rose but I'm not as enamored of him although I did get to see the Big Red Machine play way back when).

The Hawk. I can still remember all the regulars who used to play, as bad as they were. :D Well, they weren't all bad. Grace and Sandberg (I had two dogs named Cubbie and Gracie.) were pretty good.

I hope they shell out the bucks to keep Zambrano. If they let him get away...

Did you see Kerry Wood's 20K game? I was lucky enough to be home that afternoon and still have the video.

I don't know enough about football to know if Favre staying is a good or bad thing. I just listen to ESPNradio a lot and most of them think he should give it up.

I DID see that game...or more accurately I listened to it. I am usually working when the games are on so I listen to them on the radio. Luckily my job allows me to walk around all day listening to audio books, the radio(ESPN most of the time), or really loud music that makes me want to dance, except the other guys look at me strange if I do.

I'm 38 (39 in a month, shudders), so I don't remember Santo playing either but my Dad loved it when he clicked his heels together after a win. My father is a Cubs fan also and can still name the 1945 starting team, so it's in my blood. I bleed blue.

(me thinks I love you....a fellow cubs fan, marry me? LMAO)

I'll be 39 in two months. *shudder* I won't go quietly, I'll go kicking and screaming!

Okay, this is an important question. This will determine if we are compatible for marriage. ;)

Which ESPNradio show is your favorite?

Dan Patrick's. Especially the hour when Oberman is on.

We have a winner!

I love Dan, and Keith makes it even more fun. I like the Sportsbash too usually, but I don't know who that idiot filling in for Eric Kuselias is. I can't stomach much of him.

*sigh*

The perfect man and he's 500 miles away. Story of my life.

Yeah tell me about it. But we can still flirt shamelessly.
