The Midnight Forest

Marie:

Nodding, Marie reined in her mount and watched Thomas closely. She didn't really know where to go, since the Gypsy camp had been home for so long, but she would follow him. "Thomas? Can we stay near the forest, wherever we go? I think Tristan needs to be near it."

Thomas:

"Yes, yes, this place would make a wonderful home..." Thomas mused as he set his horse into motion, heading back toward the direction he had fled from the gypsy camp. "Once we have given your family their proper burials we will return here, we will make this forest our home..." He smiled at the idea as he looked lovingly over to Marie and his son.

Marie:

Urging her horse to draw tandem to Thomas', Marie watched Thomas, smiling at the look on his face. She knew that once they got past this rough spot, they could make it. The forest protected it's on, and Tristan was part of the forest, almost as if he was concieved by 3 beings instead of two.

Thomas:

Slipping from the woods undetected, Thomas, Marie and their son rode throughout the day. When night threatened to close in he turned to Marie. "Do you wish to stop for the night or push on my love?" He asked as he reached over to run his hand along her thigh.

Marie:

Roused from her travel revelrie, Marie looked at Thomas and smiled tiredly. "Could we stop, love? I'm tired, and Tristan will need to rest some more on a bed that is not moving." She reached up and pushed a lock of hair gently off of Thomas' face before stretching a bit. She was tired, and her muscles were still sore.

Thomas:

With a smile and a nod, Thomas guided his horse off the beaten path, stopping once he'd come to a nice level spot. He dismounted, having guided Marie's horse in as well, he reached out to her to help her and Tristan dismount. His son had slept off and on throughout the day, peeking up ever now and then to rub at his little nose or bright eyes. "We will stay here for the night, and should be able to make it back to the camp on the morrow..." He said as he placed Tristan down, only to watch the boy curl up in a ball for some more sleep. Turning back to Marie, he reached up again, to help her down this time.

Marie:

Watching Thomas with Tristan, Marie smiled. The father was so good with his son, and truely cared. She then slid off her horse with the aid of Thomas. Steadying herself with a hand on his shoulders, Marie let her legs get accustomed to the ground again. She hadn't ridden that much in a long time, usually only making the half day journey to and from her Grandmother's camp.

Thomas:

Pulling Marie into his arms, helping to keep her steady on her feet, Thomas leaned his head forward, stealing a kiss from her lips, he'd been longing for it since their ride began, but now he had her in his arms again... His hands slid down along her back, drawing her tightly to him, hips pressed tightly to hips. He drew his lips across hers, sensously moist and warm.
