Always meant to ask, but your intermittent presence never guaranteed an answer. Went looking, but didn't see you fess up in other threads. Does your nick have anything to do with a work by Tarantino?

Yes, the "Mr Blonde" name is taken from Reservoir Dogs!

Angelic is that pic with the shark for real? That is something else!

Exactly

The pic is real, but the animal in the water is actually a dolphin.

They're quite deadly to sharks. They use their snouts as a battering ram. I don't know if it simply ruptures the shark's internal organs or if it knocks them unconscious so that they drown, but bottlenose dolphins are one of the only true predators a good-sized shark has.

Also one of the few animals other than man that has sex just because it feels good.

Hey, and they're wicked smart. Whodathunk that dolphins were actually on-topic for this thread?

Gotta love them dolphins!

They go for the gills. A gill strike causes hematomas and free bleeding in effect ruining the oxygen exchange system.

Beautiful creatures.

Sea World is really quite a sad place if I think too hard about it but I did love being able to pet dolphins and porpoises and bat rays. I think being actually in the tank with an Orca would freak me out, but it's still something I'd love to do.

The new Dolphin pool is much better than the one they used to have --- there's more room and the animals are far better protected from the crowds, but one of the best visits I ever had was when they still had the old tank.

There was a guy there who apparently came quite often to visit them and they knew him. The animals would swarm up onto the ledge to get to him and he was practically laying in the tank crooning over them and chattering back to them as they talked. I think I must've spent a whole hour there leaning in myself and splashing. I was totally soaked when I finally left but it was one of the most amazing things to be so close to them. Nothing in the world feels like their skins and the rhythm of continually scooping the water over them so that they don't get too dry and so that my own body wouldn't hurt them.

And then I feel guilty because however much I loved it I feel bad that they're not free.

sheesh, how'd I get so maudlin on a Friday afternoon? Must hit the road and remedy that.

A good weekend to you all.

Sensuality

I believe that the more intellectual you are the more sensual you are as well.

I have met many women who have and had their own kink. What each and every woman showed me was their sensuality.

Sensuality is so incredible and so often hard to find.

Merriam-Webster would disagree with you, but i think i understand your logic.

Shall we hold the book burning here, or let them stand as a spellchecker with the usual sentence that entails?

A sensual intellectual? According to M-W, that would be an oxymoron.

But, IMO, that is a great label to wear. Should I take this comment to the "Labels" thread?
