You have been pretty snarky. The only criticism I've made is I didn't think Elliot Page was a good casting choice.

You have been pretty snarky.
I meant "on Bluesky."
Well, that's where the phenomenon originates. I don't see you expressing concern when people criticize Twitter... why is that?
Ah, the "I wasn't the only one" excuse. Doesn't make it right. And? There's plenty of that to go around.

Because you mentioned Bluesky.
I'm not posting on any of that bullshit.
BS. I have criticised both sides. Have you?Sure... but since you only seem interested in criticizing one side, you don't have much credibility.
BS. I have criticised both sides. Have you?
And other people mentioned Twitter, what's the difference?
Why would I care what other people mentioned?
You mentioned "NPCs on bluesky," and yours was the post I was asking about.
Your parents sound like a hootJust got the review from my mum (age 84) - "Looked pretty and was entertaining enough for 3 hours, but the actors didn't do much and it really needed some humour and a bit more sex in it." Which is a sentence I never thought I'd hear out of my mother's mouth, but I have to agree with her point that there's way more humour and sex in the source material than made it to screen. And that Damon was kinda a block of wood that stuff happened to. Given it's got that R rating, it is a bit surprising they didn't put any sex in at all.
She did start on a rant about the woke casting but was soon drowned out by my dad explaining that sailors in sea ports in the centre of known civilisations actually would have had the various skin colours shown in the film, and rare dark skin being seen as beautiful was hardly a stretch. He enjoyed it but would have liked a bigger screen.
And what is the problem with mentioning NPCs on Bluesky? It was a factually accurate statement.
If you don't like it, you could just not engage, right?
Lol. Then I shan't. I thought you might want some discussion, but I guess not.
You have a pleasant evening.
NPCs on Bluesky? But no mention of clowns on Twitter. There you have it. There's your bias. And what is the problem with mentioning NPCs on Bluesky? It was a factually accurate statement.

The Odyssey is a work of art. Deal with it on that basis. Like it. Don't like it. Both responses are OK. Judging it on different criteria is ridiculous.
I'll be completely honest about this:
I am a person who has LITERALLY ZERO interest in being on, contributing to, or logging into any kind of microblog. I know nothing about how they work. I've never frequented them. Your implication that there's something sinister in me differentiating between Bluesky and Twitter is a little amusing to me, because I literally don't use either one of them. I have no clue what the difference would be, and my ignorance means that I'm sitting here laughing that you seem to be viewing this as some sort of "gotcha" moment. I have no clue.
I lack the ability to engage meaningfully with you about microblogs, which was why I asked you about it. Frankly, if you haven't seen the movie we're discussing (and I have), then you lack the ability to engage meaningfully with me about the film.
Again, you have a pleasant evening.
You have zero knowledge or interest in Bluesky? Then why get wrapped around the axle when I mention it?
That's wildly inconsistent.
"How dare you mention this thing I don't care about and know nothing about!!!"
Does that seem logical to you?
Right, but other people called out people on Twitter but didnt mention anyone on Bluesky. Why isn't Mister "look at me I'm totally fair and unbiased" calling that out?
Because you want to hold people who disagree with you to a standard you will hold neither you or the people you agree with to.
You claimed to hold both sides accountable, and when I asked for proof, your response was to attack me yet again.
Which is completely consistent with your schtick.
Am I biased? Of course I am.
Guess what?
So are you!
So is everyone else in this conversation.
So, either call out everyone, or drop your pretentious bullshit, and admit you are an intolerant bigot who can't handle people disagreeing with you.
Lol. All I said was "you don't have to engage" on Bluesky. And you don't. That's not a statement about Bluesky. That's a statement about engagement.
Enjoy the film, or don't enjoy it. That's up to you, should you choose to actually see it.
I honestly have no idea what you're talking about.
I have no idea what's going on in Twitter or Bluesky on this subject. I don't care. I don't follow that. My lone concern in starting this thread was in the opinions of my fellow authors here. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing to "call out." Nobody in this thread has done anything worth calling out. There are just opinions being expressed. I don't understand what you are vexed about.
