The Offical PG Halloween thread.

Just to keep things rolling, I'll probably ask a generalized question each day that hopefully generates conversation. For today:

What are some of your Halloween traditions?

Pumpkins all round! :D
ETA: that’s it really. We used to do more when I had littles, but now we both carve a pumpkin and I usually end up at work due to other commitments that week.

I fucking love hallowe’en though. I’d do more if I could <shrug>

My dad always said "Ain't nothing fun about fun size candy bars." He hated them. Always gave out full size candy bars, so I do the same to this day. There's always a jack o'lantern, and I give stuff out to the parents as well (last year it was those little chocolate liquor-filled bottles - they love me now). Last year was the first year in my new home, and it's a townhome. You know how townhome communities are - lots of rules. I had JUST moved in, and wasn't quite sure of the rules. So I didn't decorate a whole lot. But this year will be different. The fog machine is coming back out.

My neighborhood is Halloween-cuckoo - which I really like. Because the neighborhood goes all out, we get a LOT of trick or treaters - usually 300-400. Since we don't have any kiddos, we get to hang out on the porch to hand out candy to the kids and bs with the parents. We usually have a cooler packed full of refreshing adult beverages to share.

After we run out of candy and turn down the lights, it's time for a scary movie and... other adult fun. Sometimes in costume. ;)

I now want to be one of your neighbors. :D

Today's question:

During the month of October, do you visit any Halloween themed attractions? Haunted houses, cornfields, hay rides, etc.? What's the spookiest one you've ever been to?

Absolutley.

Haunted hay rides and corn mazes are my favorite.

I prefer the outdoors over houses.

Halloween parties when everyone dresses up and there are festive drinks and treats.

Weirdly I haven't done much of that over the years. I'll have to get on that this year, though, for sure.

Yes. It's very similar to what was used in Halloween 4? 5? Forget which one exactly. The last part is out of place though. I picture Micheal Myers stalking someone and when that part hits he starts head-banging. :D

Haha yeah, it's definitely kind of an experimental take. And now I have this visual of Michael Myers headbanging. Lol :p

Heyyyy great idea for a casual Friday outfit! ;)
