"Ah, a sort of macabre nobility, loving to cause pain to the wicked."
She looked thoughtful as she sipped her tea.
"I suppose you could put it like that."

"Ah, a sort of macabre nobility, loving to cause pain to the wicked."
She looked thoughtful as she sipped her tea.
"I suppose you could put it like that."
"So, you like tea? I am an alchemist, I'd love to whip you up something."
*He wiped away the tears that managed to find their way to her cheeks. A tender smile met her gaze, and held her eyes though she sought to avert them*
You're not an idiot Kay, just a gentle heart. You don't want to cause strife, so you let things go. But if you do not share attraction with him, then you must inform him so that he knows the boundaries. Otherwise you'll keep finding yourself in situations like this. Now come on, it's getting chilly out here.
*His hand slipped from her chin and held a supportive position; an offer to help her rise from her current position*
She shot him a look, "I just bet you would."
Opening his eyes, Apollo let out a gentle yawn.
Ah, crap, I fell asleep again...
She sniffled as she listened to him comfort her. He was right... he was right like Cait was right... It was her fault that she let it get this far. She nodded when he told her she should tell him that she doesn't share attraction with him: she was probably sending mix signals, too, which didn't help.
After he let her chin go she bowed her head and wiped her eyes, regaining her composure. She smiled weakly back up at him: eyes slightly red, reflecting that she had shed a few tears. She took his hand gently in hers and allowed him to pull her up.
"Thanks," she said softly to him. "I'll take care of it privately so not to embarrass myself or him." she nodded, as if trying to convince herself, than to inform Fr33k. "Thank you..." she said again, putting her other hand over his, shaking it graciously. She let her hands fall to her sides, hesitated, then hugged him, smiling slightly against his chest.
Well, how about we go back inside? Even I'm starting to get a bit cold...
*He put his arms around her, squeezing the hug tighter for a moment before pulling back a bit. Taking her hand, he led her back into the lounge, opting for a couch instead of his recliner*
She held his hand as they walked back into the lounge: truth be told she was getting cold as well. She followed him to the couch with a small smile.
She sat first and looked up to him, her hand still gently holding his. A small smile captured her lips, and as he sat down beside her it grew a little wider. She scooted closer to him: as much as one could with their arms so close together.
"It's quiet..." she said softly, glancing at him. She bit her bottom lip to control a yawn and glanced around for a moment, only for her eyes to meet his again.
Indeed it is. Seems all the hustle and bustle has gone for the evening.
*He smiled at her yawning, draping an arm over her shoulders, allowing them to be even closer*
Getting tired, Kay?
*The hand around her shoulders toyed with her hair a bit, accidentally brushing against her ear and neck on occasion*
"Refreshing, really..." she said with a small giggle; she leaned against him as he put his arm around her and closed her eyes half way.
"A Little," she admitted quietly, running her fingertips down the side of his chest. His light touch made her tremble slightly, a blush came to her face. She closed her eyes fully for a moment, then forced them back open.
You know you don't have to force yourself to stay awake on my account, Kay.
*The gentle pressure of her hand on his chest was a welcome heat, the slight shuddering of her frame made him pull her closer still, thinking her to be still a bit chilled from the night air. His hand continued to brush against her neck as it twirled a strand of her hair, subconsciously adding a bit of intimacy to their embrace*
"Of course not... but... it'd be rude... to..." she yawned and curled her feet beneath her bum, cuddling against him. "...not keep you company..."
She looked up at him with a little quirky grin, her eyes were weighed down with sleepiness, she blinked them slower than normal. Tiny little sensations quivered through her every time his skin touched hers on her neck: the sensation of playing with her hair had the same effect, though, it wasn't as strong. She rested her cheek against his chest and yawned again. "Did you know that research data strongly suggests that contagious yawning is not reliable in children under the age of six?" she started mumbling: a thing she often did whenever she was trying to keep herself awake when someone else was around. "...Silly little fact I read on wiki once..."
*His laughter was soft, but seemed louder in the quieter setting they found themselves in.*
I had not known that. There seems to be a study for everything nowadays....
*A yawn slipped from his lips as well, brought on by hers. He laughed again, the hand twisting her hair moving down and resting at the junction of her neck and shoulder, fingertips tracing along her collarbone. This setting, this position...it was soothing in a natural sort of way*
"God, isn't that the truth," she giggled.
She fought so hard to remain awake, even though the constant drum of his heartbeat was lulling her in and out of consciousness. The touch of his hand was all that kept her awake; she squirmed a little, just to get a little more comfortable, then draped her arm across his stomach, resting her hand just at where she'd imagine his belt loops would be, hidden beneath his shirt. Her hand restlessly rubbed the fabric of his shirt between her forefinger and thumb: another coping mechanism to remain awake.
"I don't want to fall asleep," she whispers sleepily. "What if I wake up and you are not here... what if it's all a dream?"
*He tilted his head down to watch her as she struggled to remain awake. It was adorable, her voice drawing dusky with the efforts of fighting the sandman's call. The hand at her collar squeezed gently, a reassurance of sorts*
If sleep claims you, and you find your way back to the waking world absent my presence, know that I am not gone, simply roaming, and will return. And, Kay, if this is a dream then isn't it quite the pleasant one?
"you... promise...?" she was drifting now, she nodded at his question, though, her movements were minute. "... best dream... I've had... in a long... long... time..."
Her breathing slowed after her last word. Her eyes were completely closed and twitched with slow movements every so often. She squeezed him slightly in her sleep, as if hugging a pillow as she usually did to get comfortable. She did not snore, no, not at all, a small, barely-audible purring sound escaped her as she breathed: result of her tonsils being taken out when she was sixteen. As she drifted farther and farther out any small movements seemed to cease other than the rise and fall of her chest.
With a small yawn, she stopped a real cutie and asked for another cup of coffee, smiled, giving him a light smack on his backside as he went to get her request. She grinned and made her way into the Outlook proper, looking around.
"Ah Missy Kay. Good-Morning to you. I hope all is well?"
She smiled and waved at Cait.
"Good Morning," she grinned. "Things are lovely!!! How are you?"
She sat up proper, sipped her coffee, the smile seemed glued to her face.
She went to join Kay, pausing only to take her coffee from the cutie waiter and thanked him with a wink and impish smile.
"You sound enthused," she inclined her head, "I am well. As per usual. Where did you disappear to yesterday? You had a bag with you, I was a bit worried."
"Oh... that..." she giggled and looked down at her glass: not feeling the need to elaborate. "That's good to hear..." she nodded "I went home briefly, cleaned my clothes and such... the nice staff members do a hard enough job serving people and giving people blankets when they fall asleep on the couch: I didn't want to burden them with having to wash my clothes." she giggled again.
*Rolling his head in a circle, feeling the slow popping of his vertebrae release some of the tension in his neck, he took the steps up the backside of the Outlook slowly. He strode down the hall of rooms and out into the lounge, where his eyes found both Kay and Caitlin having some afternoon coffee. He wandered to the bar, finding a blended beverage waiting on him. They had remembered! He took the glass and took a seat on the couch next to Kay, smiling at both her and Cait*
Hello ladies, how goes it today?
