The cowardly Vettebigot never stops lying about the Civil Rights act.
He continues to bring great shame upon himself, his family name and the USMC.

Just read that Ventura is now suing Kyle's publisher for promoting the "Kyle Punched Out Ventura" storyline to increase sales of Kyle's book. Since appeals courts have upheld Ventura's judgment against Kyle's estate, Ventura looks to be in for a huge financial windfall.

I'm waiting for him to explain why 16% of northern Republican senators opposed it and only 2% of northern Democratic senators did.
I'm waiting for him and his ilk to refute what I've written in here!
Good luck with that.
He should go after those publishers. They profited from a lie! I wonder if they'll remove the book from the shelves like the publisher of "The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven” have had to, since the kid recanted everything.
I'm waiting for him to explain why 16% of northern Republican senators opposed it and only 2% of northern Democratic senators did.
Most of the talking heads seem to think Ventura has an exceptionally strong case against the publisher, that the publisher's actions were virtually the textbook example of "egregious harm".
Because.....because.....REASONS!
I'm waiting for him and his ilk to refute what I've written in here!
Apparently he did knock Ventura on his ass.
Hey 80% of Pubs voted for it, only 63% of Dems voted for it (1964 Act) after long Democrat filibusters. Only one of 22 southern Democrats voted for it. All but one stayed in the Democrat Party.
Let's not forget that in 1957 99 members of Congress signed the Southern Manifesto in opposition to Brown v Board of education, 2 were Republicans and 97 were Democrats. Recalling the Republican Party platform supported Brown v Board of Education, the Democrat Party platform did not.
It was Eisenhower who pushed the the civil rights bills of 1957 and 1960. it was LBJ who stripped the enforcement mechanisms from the 57 bill, it was still opposed by 18 Senators, all Democrats. When it was presented it was opposed by not only Southern Democrats but liberals like Wayne Morse, Mike Manfield, and Warren Magnuson; and these "liberals" Harry Byrd, Robert Byrd, Allen Ellender, Albert Gore Sr., J. William Fulbright, Walter F. George, Russell Long and Richard Russell. Uh...the Southern Strategy obviously didn't work on these Democrats.![]()
Have you read the book?
Apparently he did knock Ventura on his ass.
Weren't you the one claiming all the Democrat racists came over to the Republican Party? name 'em. I know of one.
Does it matter? The lies, defamation, and embellishments have been all over the literary social media.
Did you read the book!?
Did you read the book!?
I did. As far as the original post was concerned, I thought that this was the fairest characterization of it-
"Adds Scott Foundas at Variety: “Chris Kyle saw the world in clearly demarcated terms of good and evil, and American Sniper suggests that such dichromatism may have been key to both his success and survival; on the battlefield, doubt is akin to death.”
But that's just part of the story. We ask a lot of these guys, and while they're on tour it takes a toll on their families as well, and when they return they have a hard time re-acclimating to family life.
As for the details of Iraq - he was there and we weren't. We know as much about it as we are ever likely to.
As for some of the things he talks about in the United States ( Jesse Ventura, shooting 30 looters in New Orleans, gunning down 2 car thieves in Texas, etc. ) I must conclude that he was embellishing in true Texas Tall Tale fashion, or delusional. A Texan with PTSD could probably be subject to both.
A sniper is more than just a versatile and efficient battlefield weapon. It's a psychological one. What the enemy sees as a devil, the allies see as a guardian or avenging angel. Maybe he saw embellishment of the badass legends of himself, of all snipers, and of the SEALS in particular as furthering American interests by intimidating it's enemies, and thereby protecting his buddies still in the service.
Well intentioned white lies, if you will.
Maybe not. I never had the privilege of meeting him. I only know him from his book and interviews.
I think people looking for a shooting hero should read
"Marine Sniper : 93 Confirmed Kills" by Charles Henderson
It's the biography of Carlos "White Feather" Hathcock.
