The sexiest word you know?

Uhhhh-keeey...

Mental note to self:

No matter what kind of discount you get - no, ESPECIALLY when you get a discount - do not, DO NOT buy and eat Hungarian Hot Dogs.

Soaps?

This has always been the acid tongue, kick ass, no holds barred, smart ass, anything goes thread.

Now we're discussing TV shows?

for the record...

the Swedish Chef sounds EXACTLY like the swedes do. At least the ones who stumble around drunk here in Copenhagen. Oh, and the other 8 million on the other side of the water, too.

that was a completely unbiased opinion.

sucks

Okay, it's probably me, but I really don't like it when the verb "to suck" is used to say something is lousy... "That sucks!" just has never made sense to me...

When I was in college... a long time ago... I asked a group of classmates-- I was a female in engineering so they were almost all guys---"sucks what?" after they said "Dr. Lee really sucks". "Don't you like it when someone sucks? How is that a bad thing then?"

So, guys, explain it to me... why would you ever say something sucks to indicate it is bad if getting a blow job is so great? Or are you really saying that someone who sucks is somehow less? That whole male dominance, "I made him suck my cock" thing?

Now if it comes from "sucking wind" then I can almost see it... That guy is such a wuss, he was sucking wind by the end of practice.

Personally, being sucked and sucking are two of my favorite activities. It really ticks me off that "sucks" has been turned into something crass...

Suck

Dear Father Keeney,

I believe the term 'suck' is a derogatory with its origin in terms such as "Ah, yer ass sucks swamp water.'

You were a female in engineering? Me, too. EE. Now THAT was not fun! The female definitely had to be the smartest in the class or perish.

Gerundette

no fun

Gerundina-
(I like that, like czarina) You got that right.. and when you do do better than the rest or catch a professor's error on the board you are a "stuck up bitch". But they all want to borrow your notes and old tests...

Teaching freshman engineering was even better.... please spare me from testosterone steeped 18 yr olds who know everything and if they don't pass its my fault....

EE- ack the math classes! took one as a technical elective to avoid a lab class.... my brain is still trying to reconsitute itself... all those fourier series that were "obvious" to my professor... give me a Gaussian surface to integrate, please don't make me do fourier series!

The term "sucks" is a automotive term for an engine having a leak at either the intake or exhaust manifold. It "sucks" air and decreases horsepower in the motor. It will also warp heads and therefore eventually ruin the engine. That is how the word originated as a derogatory term. Personally, I like both uses of the word. Sucks bad or sucks good. :)

Now imagine the Swedish chef putting a jawbreaker in his mouth... that's how a typical Dane sounds like.

Hey!

I will not be held responsible for the actions of my inferiors. I'm a none-drinker.
Go pick on a Finn, instead!

tsalright? tsalright!

Victor Borge is a favorite of mine... yeah, it's corny physical humor, but he really makes me laugh...

Probably another one, though, that can't say anything sexy...

You just KNOW it can't be good when you hear an explosion coming form the kitchen...
DAMN, I knew I'd forgotten to do something this morning...

I believe that "to suck" has a negative connotation because willingness to suck is perceived (by males) as a indication of weakness and depravity. Among males there are few pejoratives more likely to incite a violent row than calling someone a "cock sucker."

As to the implied object of the phrases "you suck," "this sucks," "it sucks," clearly it refers to big hairy moose cocks.

big hairy....

CBM- really want to call you ICBM... much more phallic

ROFLMAO

I thought that's what was implied.... so, does this mean that sucks is only negative when used toward males?

And, does the large cock come from different animals depending on geography... reindeer in Sweden, kangaroos in Australia, warthogs in Kenya? :D

I don't think so. I'm of the opinion that males who go about making liberal usage of the phrase "man, this sucks" have a generally low opinion of bitches ... er ... womyn.

Reindeers having big cocks? First time I ever heard of it... Though there is this old wives' tale about reindeer horn being like Viagra...

The largest-equipped animal in Sweden remains... the barn yard pig.

I think that's because of the patriarch society we live in. The greatest thing in this world is a white, protestant man, who looks manly and do manly things, like hunting, fishing, sporting, drinking beer, and fucking big-breasted blondes.

Anyone who don't fit into this description is less valuable. That includes all women, black/asian/latino guys, homosexuals, and men who prefer less masculine hobbies such as painting, dancing and baking.

Among men, the sucking of a cock is an act done by an inferior, either a woman or a gay man, and any act done by an inferior, is to be regarded as something negative.

I think my fellow sinners might be asleep. Or in bed doing horrible, unspeakable pervertions.

*sigh* I miss my hubby!:(

I'm not asleep! We've just been seeing each other on other threads... don't know where MG and GG2 are...
