Okay, it's probably me, but I really don't like it when the verb "to suck" is used to say something is lousy... "That sucks!" just has never made sense to me...

When I was in college... a long time ago... I asked a group of classmates-- I was a female in engineering so they were almost all guys---"sucks what?" after they said "Dr. Lee really sucks". "Don't you like it when someone sucks? How is that a bad thing then?"

So, guys, explain it to me... why would you ever say something sucks to indicate it is bad if getting a blow job is so great? Or are you really saying that someone who sucks is somehow less? That whole male dominance, "I made him suck my cock" thing?

Now if it comes from "sucking wind" then I can almost see it... That guy is such a wuss, he was sucking wind by the end of practice.

The term "sucks" is a automotive term for an engine having a leak at either the intake or exhaust manifold. It "sucks" air and decreases horsepower in the motor. It will also warp heads and therefore eventually ruin the engine. That is how the word originated as a derogatory term. Personally, I like both uses of the word. Sucks bad or sucks good.
