It would take some astonishing mental gymnastics to make out a case that he didn't mean that by "the hard way."
Whose to say he did not, in fact lose?
The results of the 2020 election, in which Biden won by over seven million votes, were thoroughly investigated, and Trump's claims of fraud were proven baseless. (repeatedly.) 2016 and 2024 though, not so much. I have a feeling there were a LOT of Clinton 2016 and Harris 2024 votes that went to Trump in both elections, that were never investigated. Sadly, this has never been disproven.
An election is never rigged AGAINST the party in power.
