78 and clear here now. We're supposed to have storms later and I can't wait. I love a good thunderstorm. Would be better to have someone to enjoy it with, but those are the breaks.

It is cold and icy .. hail is falling from the sky as I type (tiny hail like the size of a grains of rice, maybe).
LOTS of icicles here this morning due to yesterday afternoon's warming up of temps.. which then dropped again after dark.

The birds are hungry. No berries left on most trees here and what is left is encased in ice and snow. Even our birdfeeders are iced over (have two that are not iced over and need refilling later this morning).

There is another 3 or 4 inches of snow piled up out there.. at least, give or take an inch .. or two. More shoveling .... joy joy joy.

Our black labrador retriever doesn't mind the cold icy snow at all. He is happy to chase iceballs all day long...... we just wish he'd pee and get it over with so we can get back inside where it is warm and cozy.

It's cold and snowy here too. Really cold and snowy. I had to shovel an area just off the path from the house to the car so that Morgaine could to the bathroom. She loves to run and play in the snow, especially where it's over her head, but she doesn't like to pee in there.

It was cold enough this evening that I thought about a jacket. Just put on a long-sleeved shirt and went out anyway. after I got out the movie, the wind had picked up enough to cause me to walk to the car with some speed. Out of the wind, no real problem.

The kids are home from school AGAIN!
I missed the last episode of survivor last night because the wind and ice took down the local TV stations tower (three of them all the same tower) so now I'm cranky.
It had better stop soon or there will be a really sparse Christmas around here. I don't live near stores and if i online shop i still have to get to the post office which isn't close by.

I had to put on a fleece vest today. It was chilly. I may put on a fleece jacket tonight when I go out. It's supposed to be cold.

It's really not that bad, as long as you're wearing proper winter clothing.

The air is very dry up here, and there's barely any wind. So, with a warm jacket, warm boots, hat and scarf, you can stay outside for hours without feeling the cold too much.

Maybe someone listens to me afterall!! I have been hoping we wouldnt get snow while I was in Oz, thus I miss it...well today we had snow (well a little) and ice...my experience since moving here is it usually doesn't happen until very late January, more often February, and the first time around March..and last year only for 1 1/2 hours in February!! So I am happy and hoping this might be my first white Christmas. Here's a shot I took about 150metres from our house this afternoon and played around a little with on the PC.
