They've got it bad, so bad for Hillary

I haven't been following the whole thing very closely for some time, but I haven't seen any evidence that she actually broke any law.

That said, she displayed extremely poor judgement in setting up and housing an email server in her home with which to conduct all of her state department correspondence.

The fact that she did that gives me very little trust in what her judgement would be as president.

The law needs to be changed to make it clear that any email sent by a government employee conducting government business that comes from anything other than a .gov account will result in immediate dismissal or impeachment.

As part of that law outsourcing any .gov server maintenance should also be prohibited and a mandate (and funding) included to hire skilled computer security people.

someone from State sent her a MEMO before her tenure NOT to do that

she did

The Washington Post reports:

The FBI has begun looking into the security of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s private e-mail setup, contacting in the past week a Denver-based technology firm that helped manage the unusual system, according to two government officials.

Also last week, the FBI contacted Clinton’s lawyer, David Ken*dall, with questions about the security of a thumb drive in his possession that contains copies of work e-mails Clinton sent during her time as secretary of state.

The FBI’s interest in Clinton’s e-mail system comes after the intelligence community’s inspector general referred the issue to the Justice Department in July. Intelligence officials expressed concern that some sensitive information was not in the government’s possession and could be “compromised.” The referral did not accuse Clinton of any wrongdoing, and the two officials said Tuesday that the FBI was not targeting her.

The New York Times likely is still embarrassed about its use of the word “criminal” in association with Clinton, but this should work on page A1 tomorrow:

You're trying to hold Hillary to a different standard than Powell. Just admit it....it'll be okay.

Powell shouldn't have done it either. The old argument that someone else did it doesn't make it right. I have a TS clearance for my job and if I was as reckless as Hilary I would have my clearance revoked, potentially fired and subject to civil and criminal penalties.

Oh and the reason Hilary is a target and not Powell? He a ain't running for president. Once you go down that path everything including the way you wipe your ass is examined. Don't like it? Don't run.

The reason Hillary is a target is because of the shame Benghazi investigations.

Liberal MSNBC Co-Host Loses Patience With Hillary Over Emails: ‘Why Do They Keep Saying Something That Is Not True?’
Aug. 21, 2015 9:56am Jason Howerton

“Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski has seemingly lost her patience with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the growing email scandal that has threatened to upend the Democrat’s presidential campaign.

Despite a judge’s assertion that Clinton violated public policy, her campaign has continued to claim she didn’t violate any polices. Brzezinski wondered Friday morning how the Clinton campaign can continue saying “something that is not true.”

“Her campaign staff have said that her use of a personal email account was consistent with her predecessors, and permissible under department policy at the time,” Brzezinski said. “Is it or isn’t it?”

Brzezinski asked her co-host, Joe Scarborough, if it really was permissible “under department policy,” to which e replied, “No, that is not true.”

“OK, why do they keep saying something that is not true?” she asked in a frustrated tone.

Because "they" believe that if you tell a lie long enough it will eventually become the truth to the American people. It didn't always work that way for Buba.

Imagine that......

http://americannewsx.com/politics/h...-wrongdoing-with-e-mails-by-state-department/

State Department spokesperson John Kirby, while on CNN, flat out stated that “she was not violating policy.” We must also not forget previous Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice have acknowledged having done the same thing by using personal e-mails. Neither of those officials were ever given any scrutiny, let alone the severe interrogation and endless retracing of the “facts” the way Clinton has been subject to over the past months and years. Let us not forget that she has been the target or key player in some “investigation” since the Clinton’s threatened the GOP good ole boy machine in 1991.

Previous to the FBI even asking, Clinton turned over all her emails and servers. Since per the State Department she broke no laws, as stated above, followed suit from Powell and Rice, this is dead done and finished. Many reports used vague language and deceitful analysis as the “investigation” unfolded, thankfully at the end of the day, reality has come home and justice has been served.

While I’m sure there will be still be some who will continue to hang on to “E-mailgate”, those that are not actually listening were never voting for Clinton anyway. This issue has been a minor one since the get-go, despite over-hyped media coverage. Over the coming months, all candidates will surely rather focus on a more issue based campaign vs one based on rumors, innuendo and old witch hunts.

Did State Dept Improperly Declassify Info In Emails To Provide Cover For Hillary?

Cesspool of law breaking.

Via Fox News:

One of the emails that triggered the FBI probe into Hillary Clinton’s server contained classified intelligence from three different agencies, Fox News has learned – which could mean the State Department violated a President Obama-signed executive order by authorizing its release.

That 2009 order, EO 13526, lays out the rules for “classifying, safeguarding and declassifying national security information.” It states that the authority to declassify rests with the intelligence agency that originated the information.

“Information shall be declassified or downgraded by … the official who authorized the original classification … [or] the originator’s current successor,” the order says.

One of the two emails that sparked the FBI probe was an April 2011 email from Clinton confidant Huma Abedin that, Fox News has learned, contained intelligence from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the National Security Agency (NSA), and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), which oversees aerial imagery, including satellites.

Despite this fact and despite the executive order, the State Department publicly released the email and its intelligence — which was not theirs to declassify — onto its website in May as part of the initial release of documents on the 2012 Benghazi attack.

Fox News is told that in late spring, all three agencies confirmed to the intelligence community inspector general that the intelligence was classified when it was sent four years ago by Abedin to Clinton’s private account, and remains classified to this day.

Hillary Clinton Being Investigated For Violating The Espionage Act?

CNhScojWoAAvc-3.jpg-large

Via Fox News:

An FBI “A-team” is leading the “extremely serious” investigation into Hillary Clinton’s server and the focus includes a provision of the law pertaining to “gathering, transmitting or losing defense information,” an intelligence source told Fox News.

The section of the Espionage Act is known as 18 US Code 793.

A separate source, who also was not authorized to speak on the record, said the FBI will further determine whether Clinton should have known, based on the quality and detail of the material, that emails passing through her server contained classified information regardless of the markings.

The campaign’s standard defense and that of Clinton is that she “never sent nor received any email that was marked classified” at the time.

That moment when the clouds open just a little and a beam of truth shines through.

Current House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Fox News host Sean Hannity during an interview on Monday night that the Select Committee, chaired by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) that Clinton’s dropping poll numbers are evidence of the effectiveness of the committee.

“Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi Special Committee — a Select Committee — what are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping.”
