Time misplaced (Open)

Sindera looked to Fayt, then to Marin and smiled softly. "We'll go get cleaned up a little then we can go find a shop to get some clothes. It looks as if none of us were preared for a journey."

She turned then and led the way for Marin up to the room they had been given. Once inside she looked to the woman, noting that she seemed a little distant and bothered by something. "Marin, you seem like maybe you are a little tired. We're about the same size, I can poick you up a few things if you would prefer to rest here."

Sindera walked into the bathroom and began to draw water to wash up some. She wasn't too worse for wear after the fight with the strange creatures, but something just seemed to be wrong or bothering Marin.

She returned to the room and was about to speak once more when she noticed the woman had lay down to rest and must have fallen asleep. After checking to make sure she was alright, she pulled the blanket over her and quietly left the room, headed down to the main tavern room to await Fayt's return.

Fayt went up to the room, looking around for a few moments. It wasn't what he was used to, but he was sure he could manage somehow. He pulled out the three bags he had retrieved and hid two of them under the bed. He laid the last one on the nightstand and went to clean off his face.

He wipped his sword off and laid it on the bed. He opened the pouch and poured a few of the jewels out. They looked like small diamonds. He tried to think of what possible use the soldiers would have had for them and the only thing he could come up with was replacement parts for their weapons.

Keeping a couple in his hand, he shoved the pouch into his pocket before walking down to meet Sindera. He smiled seeing her and walked over to her.

"I was curious if these would be of any value?"

He opened his hand, showing the two small diamonds to her. If they were of value, he would have to be careful with them.

Sindera smiled and waved as she saw Fayt. She tried not to react too overtly as he opened his palm to reveal the two diamonds there. She casually reached out and closed his fingers over the gems.

She lowered her voice to a whisper, “I wouldn’t let too many people see those. They are of great value here. Possibly enough to outfit the whole group with enough clothes to last a few weeks.”

She glanced around as she motioned for him to sit. She had ordered a mug of mulled cider while she had been waiting. She motioned to the barmaid to come over to the table. She looked to Fayt, “Why don’t you order a drink then we’ll go find a shop to get some clothes. I left Miran in the room to sleep, she wasn’t looking as if she was feeling to well.”

He nodded softly as she closed his hand over the jewels and spoke of their high value. Her hand felt warm against his, and he enjoyed the feel of her soft skin. He cleared the thoughts for a moment as she suggested a drink.

"I think that sounds like a wonderful idea."

He took a seat across from her at the table before ordering a cider as well. He watched the barmaid move off before taking his attention back to Sindera. He folded his hand son the tabletop as he took a deep breath for a moment.

"Would it be possible for you to tell me about this place? It's my first time here."

He looked at her for a few moments, studying her.

Sindera looked to him a moment. “Well I don’t think here is much different from where you come from. Well other than the thing you came here in. We don’t have anything that advanced here.” She looked around before letting her eyes meet his once more; her deep emerald green eyes seemed to shine even in the candle light of the bar.

“It is too bad your craft was wrecked, maybe you could have used it to go back home. We’ll just have to figure out something else.” She ran her slender fingers through her red hair, pushing a few stray hairs out of her face. “I am not sure what else I can tell you, except from what I have seen of your technology, this place will seem like a little behind for you I think.” She smiled softly.

She took a sip of her cider and set the mug before her. “We should get you some other clothes and me as well. I wasn’t quite prepared to leave my home so quickly.” She laughed softly as she looked to him once more. She couldn’t seem to keep her eyes off of him, she blushed softly as she looked away, not wanting to make him feel as if she was staring.

He smiled and nodded a few times as she spoke. He was sure she would probably be more scred if she knew that he came from someplace far more advanced. If the Vendenni were here, they would see things more advanced than the little escape pod.

"Yes, I think getting some more clothes would be best right now. Maybe you can tell me why you had to leave your home so suddenly as well."

He smiled to her for a moment as she looked away and finished his cider quickly. He stood up as he placed the mug in the table.

"You probably know the way around better than me, so you can lead the way."

Sindera stood quietly, "Well we can explore together, I have never been to this town." She moved with him towards the door. "I can tell you about it as we walk."

They headed out of the inn and then turned right hoping to find a shop where they could find new clothes. "As for my having to leave so soon, let's just say mages are not too welcome in the town. I had left a book of mine in the library as I was researching some info for a new spell, when I returned to retrieve it they thought I was taking a book that belonged there. So since they do not like mages anyway, they figured it a good excuse to get rid of me. I am just glad for the distraction in the clearing it actually saved my life."

Fayt shook his head for a moment and follwed beside Sindera, listening to her talk.

"That sucks for you. Were you able to get you book back then?"

He looked over at Sindera for a moment before looking around at the shops.

"I wonder where Sanglant went off to. Maybe we'll run into him getting clothes. What sort of signs do you have for the different types of shops?"

Sindera pushed a few locks of hair from her face as they walked. "Maybe we will. I know we all needed new things after the things that happened on the trip here." She looked to him and smiled softly, "Yes I was able to get my book back thankfully."

"Well I am sure they are pretty much the same as where you come from..." She pointed to a shop with a sword and shield on the sign, "That would be an armory, we can get a few weapons there if we need them. Which I am sure we may."

A few doors down was a shop with odd symbols across the sign. "That would be a place I need to stop in before we leave again. They sell magic supplies there."

She stopped in front of a shop with a sign with what looked like rolls of cloth on it. "This would be where we find new clothes.." She smiled, took his hand and led him inside.

Fayt smiled as he listened to Sindera, nodding a few times. This place wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. If the signs were this simple, he was sure the rest of the world would be. He would just have to try and do his best to follow the Universal Plantery Code and not do anything to advanced their way of life.

"Things are pretty simple. I don't think I would have much of a problem to find my way around..."

Fayt blinked as Sindera took his hand and blushed for a moment. He recovered quickly, trying to hide it as he stepped into the shop with her. He took a moment to look around and then looked at her.

"Umm..Is there anything special I need to do for picking out clothes?"

Outside there was someone who had been watching the group since they had entered town. The watcher was a young woman who did seem to be from around this area of the country. She stood in the shadows a few feet from the inn, waiting for them to come out. Since Sanglant was the first out, she decided to follow after him, taking her time. There were few people about so she stuck to the shadows.

Sindera smiled, she looked around the store a moment. He was dressed differently from others around here, the first thing she needed to do was find him clothes so he could blend in.

"Well first we should get you more common clothing than that which you are wearing. Others will see you as I did, royalty from afar." She moved to a section of clothes that from the look of them were for men.

She handed him a shirt and pants. "These should do, and they should fit well too."She smiled, "I am a pretty good judge of size, and if they don't quite fit I can sew them so they will." or use a little magic if I have to, she thought but left that out.

She then picked out a few things like a cloak and a few other items of clothing for him and her, "These should be fine, since we are not quite sure where our travels will take us yet. The boots you have on will do even though they do look much different than those worn around here."

After they had bargained for the clothes and she paid from the few coins she carried, she led him from the store. "We should find Sanglant, as he may know where we should go from here. I am open to about anything as I probably would not be safe to return to my home."

(ooc Sorry I haven't posted as of late, been trying to think of what to do with Slanglant. lol..)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Slanglant felt something watching him, it was strange he had the same feeling when they were on their way to the inn. At the time though he didn't pay much attention to it, figured the guards were still after them, or perhaps it was more of those creatures. But no, this time it was stronger and those creatures definatly would not go into the city like this.
If it was guards, well, they were pretty noticable. They don't know how to sneek around and having so many of them following you, even in crowds, it was easy enough to notice. Slanglant dipped into a shop, peeking out the window in hopes to gain sight of his follower. At first he saw a beautiful girl look in the direction to the shop, didn't appear to see him though. Slaglant had to wonder if she was the one following him. But why? He has never seen her before, only thing he could possibly think of is, she might be the daughter of the person he had killed the other night. Then, Slaglant was told and even made sure that he had no real family. Also, it wasn't even 100% that it was him, she was following.
"May I help you sir?"
Deep voice within the store startled Slaglant out his thoughts,
"ummm sorry..."
quickly looked around to see what type of shop he hid in, luckly this was the shop he was looking for.
"Actually, aye. Least I hope you can. I am looking for a magic item to place into this dagger. Perferrably something with a poison effect. Will allow me to cut into them, make them think nothing more of it. Meanwhile the poison is seeping into their blood."
Slanglant watched the little man think for a moment. The man may have been little, but by no means was he to be messed with. Those dwarves can be fiesty at times.
"hmmmm I think I may have just the thing for you. It will take at least a few hours to combine it with the weapon of your choice though. Sir."
deep voice seemed to be in thought, studying the dark elf.
"That is fine good Sir, I have friends here and we are going to be here for the night. I shall pick it up by tomorrow morning."
Slanglant wasn't paying a ton of attention to the little man, knowing most the people in this town helped to make things not so intense. His thoughts were on that girl. After she had walked the by, the feeling wasn't so strong now. Still there though, as if she was watching the shop.
"Very well Sir... is there anything else?"
"Yes, I need some arrows as well. At least two dozen."
"Consider it done Sir. Will you be picking those up in the morning as well?"
"Aye".
It was then they bowed eachother farwell and Slanglant was outside again. He kind of wished he had Luathas with him, but the huge cat was probably fast asleep hogging the whole bed. That prickly feeling washed over Slaglant once more, the intensity of it was starting to drive him insane. Was she out to kill him? If not her then who is it?
Took a casual look around the streets, catching just a glimpse of the girl ducking into a shop. Slaglant smiled knowing now for sure it was her, although it made it appear that he didn't see her at all. It helped that he did see Fayt and Sindera a little ways from the shop with the female in it.
Making his way towards the two and when he finally caught up them. Slanglant kept his back towards the street, still feeling those eyes on him.
"Do me a favor. Do not make it obvious though, but, look behind me and see if you see anyone watching me. A red headed female perhaps."
Slanglants voice was low, reached out as if to examine the clothes that they had bought.
"Nice choice for you. We should get you something to put that sword of yours in also. I just came from a shop that would have such things. Perhaps we can even get you another weapon as well."
He nodded as he took the clothes from Sindera and held them up to look at them.
"They don't look too bad. I'm sure they will fit me pretty well."
He smiled at her choices. He chuckled softly as she mentioned his boots being a different than the rest. His boots were a bit scuffed up, but better made than what he saw.
"I think they will serve much better than the others. Thank you for the rest of the clothing though."
Fayt was paying more attention to Sindera as he walked with her when Sanglant approached then. He blinked for a moment before looking at him.
"Hmm? Oh. Well I see several people. I think one is a redhead. Why?"
Nel stayed against the wall, her arms crossed under her breasts. She kept watch from the corner of her eyes, straightening a little when she caught sight of Fayt. A group of drunks had come out of the bar she had taken up residence at, obscuring the view. By the time the drunks had left, she had moved to a different location in the allyway out of sight.
There three were definately worth following if the boy who came out had any connection to the strange object falling from the sky earlier, She thought.
Sindera had noticed the girl as well, but after a slight commotion in the direction she had been spotted in she had lost sight of her.
She turned and looked to Slanglant “I think I saw a woman with red hair, but I may have been mistaken as she is not there now. She was over by the tavern, there down the street.”
She waited for the two men to speak, not knowing what she should do actually, every moment that passed took her farther and farther in to territory she didn’t know. Her slight bit of self confidence was slipping away now that it was sinking in that she was never going to be able to return home, or that it was a definite possibility that she wouldn’t be.
“Maybe I should go check on Marin, and then we can meet up and get something to eat and discuss our next steps or where we should head from here.”
