What I see from conservatives-most-is when they look at liberals its with a head shake and even some sadness. "They don't know any better" 'They listen to the wrong people" "Its the fault of the now indoctrinated education pushed by progressives" and along those lines. I do not see nearly the level of hate, and what they hope is people wake up and give their side a chance.

Many woke up this time around. Acedespades is right, if something works you beat it like a dead horse. But when shown it no longer works, you need to now pivot. Days after a serious beat down they are doubling down on every reason they lost. They cannot get it through their heads that identity politics and no platform other than calling people names, branding them as evil, and middle school level behavior cost them and will continue to do so.

I live in RI which is heavily blue. Trump picked up 43% here and if you knew this state you'd be like "Whoa!" This state keeps up with the sanctuary city crap and pushing all the trans agendas and by 208-if not 26-this state could flip

What matters is, conservatism is worthless. In all its forms, that it has taken since American "movement conservatism" got started in 1964.

There is no value whatsoever in racism.

They found that the there are millions of racist, sexist, xenophobic, bigoted, homophobic, transphobic, hateful people out there who will rally huge support for one of their own if they were ever on the ticket.

What the GOP had never done before was run someone like that because they were scared the rest of their group that just wanted smaller government or to have their arsenal of murder toys or whatever would never accept such a vile and evil and anti Christian and anti American position. But turns out they were wrong. The GOP has no actual moral or values. They just want to win and to hell with whoever suffers or pays or dies in that effort.

The reality is that this GOP will decide if they keep winning or not. The Democrats won't have anything to do with it. Well they can make it easier for the GOP to win by pretending this country is enlightened enough to not elect an old white guy, but ultimately it's about whether the Republicans can find the next trump filled with untapped levels of hatred and evil to keep their voters happy and on their way to hell through their ballots and whether the formerly half decent Republicans of Reagan and McCain will continue to be fine letting their party be this way.
