Tonight, Pennsylvania will tell us everything re: Republicans & Trump

Once again you go climbing out on some thin branch. The USA is divided 50/50 right now on which direction the country should go. Yet you think that a 50/50 result race between Democrats and Republican's means that Trump's policies are being rejected? You need to stop spewing the MSM's fantasy BS and start thinking for yourself. If you can that is.

Tidal wave?

LOL more like barely eeking it out.

If PA is an indicator of anything it's that the slam dunk major blue backlash from the 300 million ardent Leninist Socialist you like to think populate the USA.....ain't happening.

Just for fun, here's the big GB thread from right after Scott Brown took Teddy Kennedy's Senate seat, 8 years ago (it's a Miles thread, to give you a general idea):

The gyrations the GOP is doing to frame Lamb's win as anything other than the signal for the loss of the House this fall that it is - - is absolutely fucking amazing.

Everything from Lamb is the "only democrat" that could win to my personal favorite - that Lamb ran on Trump's message.

Unbelievable. Worse - I think people may actually believe this shit.

So that Trump Country red map is just a bunch of bullshit?

Where'd you get that?

He "wouldn't want to have an abortion himself," but "he's not going to tell a woman what to do" = Pro-Choice when it comes to a woman's constitutional rights

He's pro-gun on some issues, but not anti-gun control on others. He supports Universal Background Checks like 87% of Republicans and NRA Members and just about everybody except the gun nuts.

He's pro-Obamacare, Pro-Social Security, Pro-Union and very ANTI-TRUMP TAX GIVEAWAY.

So, not conservative.

He's pro life and pro guns.

Your link: Conor Lamb shows a pro-choice Democrat can win in Trump country

For guns he is at the same place I am - forget about gun control and fcus on background checks and keeping guns out of the hands of people that should not have them and close the loop hols in the laws on the books.

Am I "pro-gun'?

I expect one to read the article not it's headline.

Also, he has my stands on them exactly. On guns with background checks, and pro life, but respecting the law as is not changing it.

Am I a Dumbocrat?

Thank you Rory. Just like all your other "panic" and "for sure" threads, I have learned so much.

You are a great progressive spokesperson.

The man is certifiable

Trump to donors today spinning out fantasies in real time:

“The young man last night that ran, he said, ‘Oh, I’m like Trump. [NO] Second Amendment, everything [Since when is that you?]. I love the tax cuts, everything [No, he ran against the tax cuts].’ He ran on that basis [pure lie],” Trump said at a fundraiser in Missouri on Wednesday, according The Atlantic. “He ran on a campaign that said very nice things about me. [Delusional] I said, ‘Is he a Republican? He sounds like a Republican to me. [No, you called him Lamb the Sham]’”

^^^^^ delusional. Should never be allowed to own a weapon.

Go see a doctor.

So that Trump Country red map is just a bunch of bullshit?

Did I say that? No, I didn't.

The map shows the current political party electorate results. Nothing more, nothing less. Trying to gamble on it is like following the numbered light pole next to the roulette wheel thinking it's going to predict where the ball will end up on the next spin. It won't. Relying on the map, or changes to it, to predict future election results is the same.

This race was 50/50. Go look at the results and try to honestly say differently. It's so close it's a political photo finish. That doesn't say anything about a rejection of Trump or R's or an embrace of D's. It means that the electorate was equally divided on the issues. You can say "but Trump won by 20 points" and that would be true. But Saccone isn't Trump so what Trump did is irrelevant to THIS race. That's the equivalent of saying that Nixon won by yada yada yada and Obama...

You can't spin this race into a blue tidal wave in November. You can't even do it when this race is coupled with the other D wins in other districts lately without looking at the candidates, the issues facing the voters in those unique districts, and other variables like the economy, jobs, and public satisfaction.

All you're doing is saying blue team win, blue team win, blue team win... look!, the blue team is the better team. Meanwhile the red team still has several other races to run with different competitors over completely different terrain. The blue team may not make the grade in those contests and no one will know until it's finally over.

But crow on. Breathing that deep is prolly good for your lungs anyway.

Interesting fact: a lot of money for the campaigns came from sources outside the districts. Lamb was the beneficiary of 2.6 million outside dollars to help him win. Saccone collected over four times as much, 10.7 million outside dollars, and lost.

Now that's 10.7 million dollars that won't be available to help other campaigns later this year. Even with their tax breaks, a lot of Republican donors are going to balk at tossing out more money after this.

Donald Trump is mad because America is scorning
he'll really be sad when he sees the Blue wave that is forming
he'll feel bad when he wakes up on November 7 morning
and finds Democrat waters have risen like global warming
If the Left grows some hair on that pair and they dare
to get everybody out to the polls everywhere
and don't get ensared by vote suppression warfare
America might just be spared another GOP nightmare!
