There is a lesson in this and the Hillary thing....yes, the cynics were right. The rich, famous, and powerful will always get away with whatever they want to do. Want to get away with rape, murder, theft, even espionage? Become rich. Become powerful. Become famous. Then you can do whatever you want with impunity!

Frankly, the only reason at this point to vote for Hillary is to keep Trump out. My attitude toward her has changed for the worse. Her being the Democratic nominee is no longer enough, given what we have seen with the California, AZ, and New York primaries. Anyone willing to tamper with elections is not worthy of the Presidency. Then again, neither is a guy willing to ban every member of an entire world religion, wreck the economy with trade wars and deportations, and torture people.

The rule of law is dead, folks. And We the People helped to kill it....with votes. Both parties are guilty of this. And independents who kept sitting out elections.

Actually, from what I've read further, the FBI probably got it right....at least as far as the e-mails that they could collect are concerned, though one could argue that deleting them was obstruction of justice. Possibly. After all, Hillary deserves due process and the presumption of innocence, too.

Still not too reassuring about her judgment. And then to add the mess in the primaries.....I live in AZ, you don't know the half of it! SMH. And the Clinton Foundation cash cow...

Matt Taibbi goes "on the road" with what the Table of Contents calls "the most underqualified candidates in history".

First paragraph: "Not one of them can win, but one of them must. That's the paradox of the race for the 2016 Republican Presidential nomination, fast becoming the signature event in the history of black comedy."

When I bought this, & still when I finally read it this Spring, I was planning to vote for Sanders. As I sit here now, I doubt that will be an option, but if I had a car, my bumper sticker would read, "2016 President: Dem or Die".

Very odd, if you ask me...and this in a year when the polling places were less than half, little more than a quarter of the former ones from 2012 (68, down from 200)......no, it's not all Hillary's fault (blame Republican Maricopa County Clerk Helen Purcell for no small role there), but the switching of party affiliation is a bit convenient.....not to mention people given "provisional ballots" in California....how many counties that were first declared for Hillary have now flipped to Bernie again? The one really good thing about Trump is, it's almost impossible the he's going to win the elections against Clinton.
He insulted almost everyone in the US so far: women, african Americans, latin Americans... across your borders: He insulted of course us Europeans, the Russians, the Chinese, Iran, Saudi Arabia and so on... It's hard to find a spot in the world Trump HAS NOT insulted so far...
I think it's not so difficult to figure out that it's not good foreign policy to insult almost every important country in the world...

I'm sure at some point I mentioned there is a delegate from Virginia who is suing to prevent him from having to cast his vote for Trump. What makes this so funny is a) he's a Cruz supporter and b) he and Cruz are no doubt big supporters of state's rights as opposed to having an oppressive, all-seeing federal government.

Why is this so funny? The guy is arguing he should be allowed to follow the Republican party's national rules rather than State law which says all delegates to vote "for the candidate receiving the most votes in the primary."
