Picking Pence may mean Trump is shifting to the right

Donald Trump’s likely selection of Indiana Governor Mike Pence to be his running mate will go far toward reassuring conservative Republicans about his presidential campaign, but it may hamper the mogul’s efforts to blur ideological lines in trying to appeal to a wider segment of the electorate.

The 57-year-old Pence is as ideologically predictable as Trump is erratic. A longtime member of Congress before being elected governor, Pence ascended through the ranks during the era of Reps. Dennis Hastert and Tom DeLay and President George W. Bush, ending up as chairman of the House Republican Conference. His unyielding, hardcore conservative positions have made him a favorite with religious and economic activists. Pence, a former talk show host, has close ties to the Koch brothers as well as to religious groups that have cheered his fierce opposition to legal abortion and gay rights.

Yes it sounds like Pence is a bit Right Wing. Just what Trump needs to gather the religious, anti-gay fringe to his crusade! He is also a Koch-sucker and a big fund raiser for the Rethuglicans.

Wonkette has a slightly less flattering view of the Gov.

He is a paste-eating bigot on gay issues, by which we mean he hates gays and is also a very stupid man.

Does everyone remember in the olden timey days of 2015, when bullshit Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) laws became all the rage, because of the coming gay marriage throatcramming? It was very necessary because Jesus-loving cake bakers and pizza makers (like these Indiana ones!) were being LITERALLY HOLOCAUSTED by the homosexuals, who to this day demand Christians give them pizza and cake whenever their gay asses want it.

Pence is just what Team Trump needs to prove to the Cruz wing of the party that Donald is a Real Conservative.
