Types of commenters

The Soliloquy/TLDR-The person who leaves a comment longer than some stories here. They go on and on about their thoughts on the story and in great detail and at times meander into other directions. I've gotten a couple of these so long I pasted them into a word doc to see what the word count was and there's been a few that topped 1k

This person is the polar opposite of the "That's it?" type
I have one who has commented on several of my stories, and his analysis of the sex scenes (especially entry) is longer than the scenes tehmselves.

The most amusing part is that the trolls with accounts, typically don't write stories. They will scream and cuss at you, but don't have the balls to create anything and put it up on the internet to be berated by the same people like them.
Maybe we should all respond "That's an interesting idea. I look forward to seeing how you write it."

I just had 2 comments post at the same time on my newest chapter of a series that cirlce back to the Feed My Fetish types, only they both have opposite desires šŸ˜‚

(near the end of comment one) "I hope he shares her with his buddies."

(near the end of comment two) "I don't think he should share her. He should corrupt his wife to share with his buddies so he can have more time with her"

Just a lovely, blatant reminder that you cannot please everyone.

I imagine celebrities aren't the easiest to write about because of the obsessed fan base some of them have that act like they know them. "So and so would never!" I call them the TMZ crowd.
Especially certain kinds of celebrities. You'll get comments if you write about overtly Christian ones.

The Concise Commenter. Just the other day one left this one-word comment on my story: "Nice."
I've had a couple of 'concise' comments (which is totally amusing to me, as I am the opposite of concise in how I write) and the one I have in mind was 'fantastic.'

OK, I can live with that.

Then I traced back to his other comments and another 'fantastic' showed up. I think it was at roughly the same time as the one I got.

There must have been a sale on 'fantastic' for him that day.

I had a commenter on at least one story say the female lead should get a baby bump. No, that's not how I see this going. Not now, anyway. What is the fascination with impregnating the characters?
On my first foray into T/I, I got a couple of 'they should move in together'-types of responses.

The whole baby-thing strikes me as a weird hill to die on.

At least no one suggested that particular angle on my story, as the couple is on the older-side (just past 50) and one of the exchanges made in the story is that she's explicitly 'past all that now, as you well know.'

I don’t know. I get variations of this comment frequently on my romance stories. I tend to wrap up a romance once boy finally gets girl and don’t delve into the marriage, pregnancy, birth, sleepless nights, postpartum depression, mastitis, crazy in-laws etc.

Today I got comment from an author who felt the same way reading my story as I felt writing it (for both the April fools contest and the erotic horror challenge) . This is the first comment from a reader who understood (my feelings) what I wrote and I think it's the best type of comment. Plus it also explains the lower rating. As a free verse poet, I thought my flash fiction failed

Thank you @THBGato for validating my feelings while writing Under the Sea. I really feel bad for killing kindness

Oh God! That's the stuff of nightmares! So well done - I didn't see it coming. It was beautifully written, and the opening was so sweet and soft. Honestly, that bait and switch provoked a visceral reaction in me. I hated it. Well done!
