It varies (at least in the office, the mail centre itself is a 24 hour a day operation except for weekends), today was pretty busy despite the rain. Christmas is the really crazy time, we get anything up to (& sometimes over) a million items a day passing through the place & have to take on around 200 extra staff. It gets really mad in my office then, people queued right round the office, down the ramp & sometimes up to the gates! At least the pay's not bad
