Walker paradise IC (open)

Hiromi on top of the car was grateful for the extra reach of her sword and she thrust it into head after head creating a pile of bodies. Quickly she saw half the Kyonshi were down and the rest were spread out. Jumping off the car, she started taking down the last ones with the help of her new friends.

Cody wordlessly followed Emma into the woods. She shoved his revolver into his hands and commanded him to shoot a tree. Before Cody could argue about how useless it was for him to try shooting they heard shouting coming from the town. "Aww shit." Cody groaned as Emma sprinted off towards the commotion. Cody tried to match Emma's pace, but he just couldn't move through the woods as quickly as she could.

After what seemed like forever Cody emerged from the woods. He watched as the others worked as a perfect team, reducing the mob of zombies to a pile of rotting meat in just a few minutes. Cody was about to join the group when he heard a sound that sent shivers down his spine. Cody turned around to see a huge hoard of zombies, at least fifty, slowly shambling down mainstreet towards them.

Cody quickly ran to the group, who were all panting near the car Hiromi was on. "Shit guys! What do we do!? There's no way we can get away in time!" Cody shouted as the hoard moved steadily closer.

Before anyone could say anything else a large red pickup truck zoomed on from a side street, skidding to a stop in front of the startled group. A dirty looking redneck man stepped out of the truck and dropped a duffle bag full of automatic weapons at their feet. "Lock and load boys and girls. We got us some zambies ta kill." He said in a thick southern accent before grabbing a FAMAS assault rifle and hopping over the hood of his truck. He ran forward with a loud whoop and began to spray bullets into the wall of undead.

Hiromi let those with guns mow down the encroaching horde, staying behind them to make sure they didn't get flanked, or surrounded. She watched as the newcomer stood their dropping them faster than they could move.

Theo horde was growing smaller, and further away, and no others were coming out of the woods or from the sporting goods store. Running into the restaurant, she grabbed the four canvas bags and loaded them into the truck, along with everyones personal gear, and the unconcious Marine.

Seeing that there were about a dozen left, she dashed down the street to the sporting goods store and got the stuff she had packed in a cart, and ran back to the truck throwing her stuff in it as well.

With everything loaded in the stranges truck, she took a good look at him. He gave her the creeps, but she knew this town was done for. All this gunfire would be heard by every kyonshi within five miles and they would all come here. This place was not sfe anymore.

Figuring that if he became a problem, the group would be able to take down one man and keep going. It was either that or certain death. SHe hoped she choose correctly...

Matt hesitated a few moments before rushing to help Hiromi gather the belongings and the marine. Once everything was piled in he jumped into the back of the truck and lit up a cigarette as he kept watch for more zombies while the others got situated. All he could think of was who the hell was this guy and thank god he showed up when he did otherwise they'd have had a hell of a time getting out of here.

Travis mowed down the hoard with his rifle, laughing manically the entire time. After the zombies were dead he returned to the truck that was being loaded with the groups gear. "Thanks for the help, ya bunch of pussies. Give y'all a bag of guns and you're too busy loading up MY truck ta help. If I weren't such a kind and gentle man I'd skin the lot of ya alive." He said climbing into the truck and roughly slamming the door. "That everything?" He asked as the group loaded the supplies into the truck.

Cody looked around to see if everything, and everyone was in the truck. He was sitting next to the redneck man in the passenger seat with Barry held firmly his arms, while Emma and Hiromi sat in the back seat of the four door truck. Matt was sitting in the bed of the truck with their various supplies and the unconscious marine. "There's one missing. The geeky dude." Cody said noticing almost for the first time the doctor hadn't been present for a while. "Sucks for him." Travis said gunning the truck forward. He drove haphazardly down the main street of Remedy, until his truck made it to the main road, leaving the small town behind.

"You'd have to pull your dick out of your sister first before you skin anything you inbred, hillbilly piece of shit." Matt muttered under his breath. He quietly began reloading his handgun and then went through the different gear they brought along to see what they managed to haul together. That done he just sat back and finished his smoke and kept an eye on where they were at and where they were headed, making landmarks in his mind.

As they drove off, Hiromi had a feeling this uncouth, unwashed, person would soon need to be killed. She made up her mind to take one of teh smaller guns just in case. It wasn't that she couldn't shoot, she just preferred stealth and one on one combat to the messy, loud unreliability of a firearm.

Sititng in the truck she watched each turn carefully, memorizing landmarks so she could find her way back if she ever needed to, wishing she had grabbed a map of the area.

Sitting back and trying to breathe through her mouth to avoid the toxic fumes eminating from this guy she carefully watched for any signs they were being followed, or being taken into an ambush.

Cody could feel the tension in the air. Everyone seemed to be sure this guy was straight out of a horror movie, but he couldn't be that bad. Right? Cody cleared his throat and looked at the redneck man. "So um, what's your name? I'm Cody, and this is Barry." Cody said trying to give the man the benefit of the doubt. "Ya named your food? That's weird." Travis grunted. "So much for the benefit of the doubt." Cody thought with a gulp. "He's not food, he's my friend." Cody said hoping the man was about to crack a smile and say it was just a joke. "Ohh I get it. Ya fuck it. I'm not one to preach, but I like me something a bit more... Womanly." He said adjusting the mirror so he could look at Hiromi and Emma in the back seat. Cody just sank down in his seat and pulled Barry closer to his chest. "Silence is good too." He thought praying they'd get to their destination without being killed by this guy.

Flashback...

Dana was out hunting. Her dad had died of liver cancer just before the world had imploded. All that was left was her brother, and her mom. Mom had never been into hunting, and her brother was way too occupied with video games to actually do anything outside.

Dad had taught Dana how to hunt, fish and live in the woods. She learned everything she could, and she was keeping her family alive. They had built a small but cozy treehouse out of pallets and lumber they got from a construction site. It kept the rain off, and the corpses out...well out of their living space anyway. Nothing could keep them out of her head.

This hunting trip was going to be a good one. She was tracking a wild boar. She hadn't had bacon in over a year. It would be a nice treat for her family.

The next thing she knows, she's tied to something rough, blindfolded and naked, no idea where she was, or how far from her family she was. All she knew was that seh was given food and water once a day, and she wasn't freed even to go to the bathroom. She had become immune to the smell by now, but not to him.

He barely spoke to her, even when he was...she shuddered at the thought, he spoke to himself about being the new Adam, and how his children would rule the world.

She had no idea how long she had been captive, she had been used by him 28times that she remembered. She suspected there were more times that she was not awake for. Sometimes it was once a day, sometimes multiple times, sometimes she suspected there were days between uses.

She did constantly get her one meal a day. To get through teh ordeal she would remember her life before and just remember her dad, her friends, going to school, her graduation from High school, anything and everything from before.

As she saw the Friday the 13th guy pull down his mirror and look at her and Hiromi, Emma held up the middle finger, mouthing "Fuck you", all of a sudden remembering she had her sniper strapped to her back and her backpack along with it. "Damnit I forgot my bow. And meat." She said aloud.

"While you were fighting, I gathered everyones gear and put in in the truck. With Matts help, I believe we got everything." Hiromi says to Emma as she slides away from Emma so only one of them could be seen in the mirror.

Travis laughed at Emma's middle raised finger. "Is that an offer, sweetheart?" He asked in a low voice. He studied the girl in the mirror. Strong and feisty. Just the way he liked them. The other would do nicely as well. Such good luck that he found two. "We're almost home. Y'all just get unpacked and settled. I'll fix us a nice homecooked meal." Travis said giving them a creepy smile that revealed his yellowed teeth.

"Yeah, I'll cook my own meal. I got this thing about sanitation and everything, ya know?" At this point his handgun hadn't left his hand yet and he was seriously debating on occupying the other one with a weapon as well.

Hiromi leans over to Emma "I would not eat or drink anything he gives us. He does not appear to be an honorable person. I do not think staying with him is a good idea. We should leave as soon as we are all ready." she whispers in a low voice so no one can hear her.

"You got something to say, boy?" Travis said slowing the truck down as he eyed Matt in the mirror. "No! No no no. Matt isn't saying anything. He was just offering to help you out in the kitchen. He used to be a chef." Cody said, hoping he could prevent the fight. Travis said nothing for a moment before speeding the truck up again. "Well that's a mighty kind offer Matthew, but what kind of host would I be if asked my guests to cook fer me? I just want y'all to sit back and enjoy yourselves." Travis said turning down a dirt road off of the main road.

The group sat in tense silence as Travis drove down the dark road. After five minutes of no sound, but the trucks engine and Travis's off tune humming the truck arrived at an eight foot tall chain link fence topped with razor-wire. "Home sweet home." Sighed Travis as he quickly stepped out of the truck. He walked to the large gate and removed a combination padlock before returning to the truck. He stepped out again after the truck was inside of the gate. He locked the fence again before getting back into the truck and driving it up the dirt driveway.

"I been here a couple a years now. Got a lot of good memories in this place." Travis sighed. "I put up that fence myself. I'm stacking cinder blocks along the inside, be nice if one a ya's could help me cement 'em." Travis said pulling into an open garage. He turned off the truck and stepped out. "I'm gonna get dinner started. There's runnin' water in the camodes and the showers, in case y'all want ta get cleaned up for dinner. There's couches an beds all over, so just drop your bags on the one ya wanna sleep on." Travis pointed to a shed behind the locked property. "Y'all stay outta there and outta the basement. Other than that go wild." Travis said leaving the group to prepare the food. He was confident that they couldn't escape, so he could give them free rein of the property.

"So... Is he just really weird or is he going to kill us and use our skin as seat cushions?" Cody asked cautiously after Travis disappeared into the farm house. "Scratch that. I know he's weird. But is it the 'crazy threatening weird or the 'I haven't seen another human in more years than I can remember and forgot how to be pleasant' weird?" Cody asked looking around the large property. He could tell the fence surrounded a huge amount of land, but it was impossible to tell exactly was on the property due to the sun going down about an hour ago. "What's the plan guys?" Cody asked pulling on his backpack and grabbing his guitar case.

Emma replied in a low voice, "Agreed, he may either drug us and rape us both or kill us all, he's scary as fuck, thanks for grabbing the stuff too."

"I say we leave as soon as it's light enough to do so. Without him knowing if we can manage it as well. And I think he's the threatening kind of weird of you want my opinion. I was almost the I haven't seen another living person in I don't know how long weird."

"Do you think he'll just let us leave?" Cody asked. "He's probably got some way to know if we leave. Like an alarm or some shit." Cody said, his face lined with thought. "But maybe we're all just paranoid. Let's maybe give him a chance? But then what if he kills us, but if we treat like... AW FUCK! I have no idea what to do here!" Cody said angrily. "It's in my nature to find the best in people, but this dude just creeps me the fuck out. If he's a serial killer then were right not to trust him, but what if he's not? What if he's like, retarded and can't help that he's creepy." Cody said continuing to talk in circles. Cody finally stopped talking. "Let's just... I'll just follow you guys." He said finally giving up trying to rationalize his feelings about Travis.

"Well I don't know what the fuck to do, but I'm going in the one place he doesn't want us to go.. The shed." She hauled her sniper on her back. "Cody I think you should stick to safer areas until you use a gun."

Hiromi puts her hand on Emmas shoulder to stop her. "I think I have a better plan. Our host has indicated he enjoys females. If Emma and I keep him distracted, Matthew may be able to explore a good portion of this place without being discovered. Besides we wil then be able to watch him prepare the food to ensure it is not tainted. Cody you can unload our gear, and get the Marine someplace better than the bed of a pickup. Is this a plan?"

Hiromi almost vomited at the thought of anyone actually touching Travis. "No that will not, WILL NEVER be necessary. We can just let him look at us and maybe flirt a little. Play grateful damsels in distress thanking our valient rescuer."

"I don't know guys... What if he really is as bad as we think? You guys might not get the option to... Say no." Cody said uncomfortably. "Maybe we could come up with something better? I don't want either of you to get hurt." Cody said realizing how attached he'd grown to both women even though he'd only know them briefly.

"We are not going in unarmed Cody, I will have my swords, and Emma will have her guns. Even if he has a gun, he will not be able to draw and fire it faster than my sword can cleave his head from his shoulders."

Touching Cody on the arm she says gently "This is not what I want, but if he becomes dangerous, I promise you, Emma and I will walk away from the fight as victors. Besides,.." she says addressing the group, "It would be better to find out if he is dangrous now then while we sleep."

Emma replied "We can take care, now go" she turned and walked towards the house. Walking towards Travis she stopped as she twirled her finger around her now down, long wavy hair, she inquired "Wow I can't thank you enough for saving us, we wouldn't have made it without you"
