Anyone saying that we need more laws needs to understand that if the laws we have don't work, adding more laws will not change anything. It's not the law, it's the incompetent people charged with enforcing the law.

I was a bit surprised to see the League of Women Voters submit a public comment in opposition. I think they’ll be able to jam the bill through in time to get it on the November ballot though. No idea which way California voters will go.

All I see is a Gov. Nuisance campaign talking point. The need 34 states to by in to put the proposed amendment forward and 38 states to ratify.

27 states are 'Constitutional Carry' states and only 10 states have 'assault weapon' bans on the books. A waste of the CA taxpayers monies, but hey, it's democrats and symbolism trumps substance every time.

Shooting a 1" group at 300yds makes me happy. Having the proper tool to do it with is helpful.

Ukrainian soldiers have been opening fire at practice targets using an AR-15-style assault rifle with a difference – it's made in their own country.
The soldiers say the new UAR-15 is more handy, more practical and precise than their AKs.
A soldier from the National Guard of Ukraine, identified only as Yakusa, explained how the new rifle would be used on the battlefield.
The war has changed a lot. Drones are now the biggest threat and it is the drones that hit our positions the most, as well as the infantry when they're on the move," he said.
"We have training. We learn and practise how to hit drones using the UAR-15 to make our fighting more effective."
The Ukrainian military has long relied on the Soviet-designed Kalashnikov, a simple and rugged assault weapon designed to be reliable in harsh conditions.
But there have been concerns about its reliability and accuracy, especially considering the age of some of the weapons the soldiers have been issued.
"We underwent a two-month-long training during which we were issued Kalashnikov automatic rifles," explained a soldier known as Nord.
"The rifle I was using was made in 1962. It was old and rusty.
"Before we were issued these rifles, we were told we had to clean them thoroughly, tinker with them and fix them.
"The first thing it did when I started using it, it failed to fire twice."


And so on . . . .

Bonnie and Clyde were found with:

• one 20-gauge Remington Model 11 semi-auto cut-down shotgun
• one 10-gauge Winchester Model 1901 lever-action shotgun (also sawed-off)
• one .32-caliber M1903 Colt automatic pistol
• one .38 Colt Detective Special revolver
• one .25 ACP Colt automatic pistol
• one .45-caliber Colt M1909 revolver
• seven .45 ACP Colt M1911 automatic pistols.

The sawed-off 20-gauge Model 11 belonged to Bonnie. Hamer’s men also recovered one hundred loaded 20-round BAR magazines. Those were separate from another 3,000 rounds of assorted ammunition.

After the dust settled, Hamer’s six-man posse had fired about 130 rounds. There were 112 bullet holes in the couple’s stolen 1934 Ford Deluxe V8. Barrow was struck seventeen times and Parker twenty-six. It was a gory, but fitting end to America’s first criminal couple.

I remember leafing through Hemming's Motor News and seeing an ad for that car (allegedly) for sale for the princely sum at the time of $250,000.00. I have since heard that there are several of those cars. Of course, there is only one Real One.


I'd like to trust that the Smithsonian had the real deal.
