What are you doing this weekend?

I have some watering to do in the yard and I absolutely have to work on a baby quilt that I'm making for a friend or I'll never finish in time.

I have a stack of ten books I want to read. I'll probably make it through 5 or 6 of them.

I have to do laundry and clean the kitchen.

My only other plan is to relax and avoid any and all forms of "gotta do this".

I started out the day with the best of intentions. Got a few errands done early, and have now been "sidetracked" with Lit and email. Just about time to get back to my "to do" list- I'm in a clean/sort/toss kind of mood. My kitchen is first on the hit parade...

I am finally getting away for a vacation!!!!!!

It is my first in 5 years and I can't wait for 4:00pm to hit.

Well i did the dishes and vaccuming, I am going to watch my daughter play ball and then coming home to sit outside and relax.
A pretty low key weekend. My wife is away seeing the new grandson for another week.
How are you doing Blue?

I'm doing alright, thank you for asking. :) I'm trying to keep myself busy with projects. This baby quilt will do the trick..I have about a month a half to finish it. Detail work always distracts my mind and allows me to relax.

I got word yesterday from the company that I'm interviewing with that I'm not out of the running...the hiring dept. is draging their feet and I should know something next week...so it's not over yet. Until then..onward and upward with new leads.

TY ..... Pacific Blue (weak :) )

Part of my weekend is already gone, since it's 8:30 pm here now. Today I didn't do much except reading a bit, surfing a bit, cooking dinner and did some dishes about 2 hours ago, and watched some tv and a movie. The evening is about the same, and tomorrow I'm going to my brother in law for a couple of hours or so. It's so exciting! lol

Going out for Chinese food, then to a different dungeon tonight with my Master and my Mentor. My Mentor will be getting thrashed mercilessly by a wicked Domme. Hehehe. Don't know what's in store for me, but it should be a fun night.

:) I meant to post this earlier on another thread where you said you were waiting for word and it was Wednesday already. Since I'm usually "the hiring department," I'd say they are probably telling you the truth, they are just slow. Also, I've been in your shoes and have been the one doing the waiting, too.

Perception of time is very different depending on which spot you're in. When hunting for work, 2 or 3 weeks felt like forever. When doing the hiring, 2 or 3 weeks is a blink of an eye.

Good luck- if this is the job you want, I hope you get it!

Thank you. I do want this job. I need to go back to work...#1 for financial reasons, #2 for my own self-confidence. Sunday nights are the worst when I realize I don't have a job to go to on Monday morning. I never thought I'd feel this way but I do and will forever look at work differently after going through this.

Tonight I clean and bake a cake, tomorrow I meet up with Xander, Nobody special and Nobody special's wife.

Sunday nights weren't the worst for me. Being out driving around during the day time when other people were working was the worst because I kept wondering why no company seemed to want me.

It isn't just having a job to do that you will look at differently after having gone through unemployment. I found my attitude on quite a few things changed. I know I've told you this before, but you really will be stronger for having had this experience. That's the good part. The bad part is that you will no longer be naive, thinking unemployment could never happen to you. You'll never quite feel 100% safe again. But you learn to live with that, too.

Same as every weekend...work, work, work, work, and then maybe work a little.
