Well wishes for our daredevil Naded

Naded, sweetie....

I don't think you heard me correctly this afternoon, when I said, "Have FUN!"

Seriously though, sending all my most sincere wishes for the speediest of recoveries so you can get out of that place ASAP.
I'm so sorry to hear about your injuries. You're strong and will get through this too. Get well soon, ~R

ps - I took your advice tonight. Thanks for the words of wisdom.

Ok, first, I errored in a post earlier. I signed the bottom as J and feel like an idiot. I have been reading thru all these posts and I am dead tired so please forgive the error.

Jay is now out of surgery as of about 20 minutes ago. He is resting comfortably in the recovery room and should be thru the night I imagine. Things went well, they put a scope (?) in his abdomin (ms) to check his kidneys and they only appear to be slightly swollen and bruised. The pressure on his neck is starting to very slowly release and the doctors believe it will continue to go down during the night.

Only family is allowed in the recovery room with him or I would take a look in and see how he is doing. I am exhuasted and tired so I am going home to rest then will go see him in the morning. I have printed you comments and will bring them with me when I go with Kari.

Thanks so much for caring,

Mike

Glad to see you in recovery Bro.
We were worried.
Check on you tomorrow.

Hey Bro,

Mikey here bud. Been up for a few hours, I left the hospital to come home and check on things and make sure the guys we settled in and not tearing up the place. You know, you got some pretty big friends. These guys could eat a cow if it wandered by the door.

About midnight or so, they headed down to Albertsons, and after the amount of alcohol these guys put away I have no clue how they are sober, and came back with more steaks, ribs and pot roasts then I have seen in my life. They have had a heck of a late night BBQ. And Leroy, that man can cook.

Now, I know you said this site is addicting, but jeez man, could have warned me a bit more. You really got some great friends here. These people really care about you. The kind words I have seen and read, not to mention a few comments about you being a ladies man. Funny stuff. It can't possibly be true, you baring your soul? More like your jimmy.

But damn dude, why did you screw around with your life like that today? You knew better than to trust that clamp. You are the one who told me, Always depend on yourself, not your equipment. I know, you don't need to hear me ranting at you, your mom is bound to do plenty later.

A couple of the guys, Jack and Leroy will stop by and see you tomorrow, god help the nurses, but then they got to head back to Ft. Lewis. We figure you won't be awake so I thought I should tell you they were here. Batts, Hammy and Mike D. are here too. They are gonna stick around for a bit, Batts and Hammy took leave and Mike D. took vacation from work.

Found out who called 'em, your pops did. Does your dad know every body or what? Its like a these guys are linked to you by birth man. They brought videos of pictures of you, which you should see when you wake up, and the stories, oh man the stories. They posted about 50 of them around your bed.

Well, Leroy is asking to say a couple words and I think the other guys want to too. See you in the morning bud. You heal up now ok? Don't worry about your mom and pops, Batts and Hammy are gonna go up to the island with them and make sure things are set there ok? Here's Leroy.

Hey buddy,

Just you know get your lazy ass out of bed alright? Dont you go slacking off on me Corporal, still another 100 miles on this hike. Plenty of good southern cooking in the fridge for you to eat when ya get home. You might need a new freezer though.

Scouts out!

Leroy

Zippy!

You big faker! Trying to get all those nurses two yourself again huh? Heh heh, I knows how you work man. You got a pretty good sized roomie here, but he could use some more bulk. Don't worry, we'll fix him right up. Sophie and the kids send theire wishes, she was crying because, well she's a cryer you know that. Jay Jr sends his best too, he's still at UT. See you in the morning bud.

Recon Rangers!

Batts

Jay,

Big Mike here man, you hold out alright? I am not much for words, but, well, you know. Peace brother.

NSDQ

Big Mike.

Sorry for taking over the page everyone, they were a bit demanding. LOL. But now they want to see some naked people. Thanks for letting me talk. Will let you know whats going on tomorrow.

Mike

Uh, Sortacurious? The guys want to know what you look like? Ok, they actually want to know what you look like sans clothing. And don't kill the messenger.

 Oh the guys wanna know, huh? Tell them that Jay hasn't sweet talked enough to see that yet....see if they can do better.

Oh Blessed Be please kiss him for me. Tell him I haev been sitting her crying through it all not knowing what to say but praying my heart out for him.

Sky diving huh? Well that just conferms I will never go with my darling Army guy now. But you know what as everyone I know says you can't keep a good Soldeir down and I bet you are a good Soldeir as your friends I am sure can attest to it as well.

Baby when you get home you just let me know what kind of pic you want and I will make sure I take it for you and post it.

Special post for Mike

Hey I want to thank you for keeping us all here at Lit updated lord knows when something happens to one of us or oneof us is not up to par we worry ourselves sick. Jay has a very good friend in you as I am sure he knows already. True blue friends are hard to come by hon but you and his Amry buds are true blue.

You mentioned earlier about how the men in the unit sticks together, yes they do at that. They got each others backs better then us poor spouses at home do. We try do not get me wrong but nothing beats a battle buddy, recon buddy, or just plain buddy. They have to stick together for in times of difficulty they depend on each other and their buddies are what gives them the will to go on, or push that last mile on the PT test. My kisses and Hugs go to all you buddies and a heart felt thanks for all that you do.

Here is a little gift if you do not mind having it.

Naded....you got some great real life buddies!!

I'm glad they kept us informed of your progress....will still be sending up prayer for a speedy recovery, Sugar!! This TN gal is missin' you as well as everyone else.....Take care and don't give those nurses too hard a time!!

Hugs!

Liza:kiss:

Sunday Morning Update:

Good news all, at 8:21 AM our friend Jay was found awake by the morning nurse. His dad had gone out to get some coffee and missed it but boy is he happy. I just got back from the hospital with the guys and we got to talk to him for a few minutes.

He is very tired and pretty well knocked out of his head with drugs but looking good. The docootr was "convinced" by Leroy to go ahead and give us a status on him and let us know what the is next.

According to Dr. McKenzie Jay is not out of the woods quite yet but is doing extremely well. The swelling in his neck has gone down considerably and the knee is looking ok. They got the bleeding stopped in his knee and the have not found any blood in the drainage this morning so that is a very good sign.

Now for a bit of bad news, Jay's orthopedic surgeon believes the damage from yesterday's accident and from not having proper surgery when he was in the Army is more extensive then we first thought. Jay is definately going to not be able to sky dive anymore and may have to have additional surgery in the future.

Jay's parents are moving him to a private care facility today where he will need to be for another day or so before he is allowed to go home. Now, Jay will not be up hoping around and chasing the neighbor's girl. Jay is going to be in bed, his favorite spot, for several days as the leg starts to heal.

I told him you all sent him your best wishes and he was really shocked by the emotion you put out in your letters. He wanted me to send a special thank you to a few people and I wil try and get it right when I PM them so please bare (?) with me.

Thanks, Mike for an update...I have been packing and checking in with Lit, to see if there was word. I can feel a little better now. Thanks again!
