What’s your most controversial opinion?

DC should be voted "Rogue Nation Status" by all 50 states, placed under FULL SANCTION, nothing in or out, no traffic, air travel, no taxes collected, no food imports, nothing.... Let the politicians and lobbyists eat each other, then, go in, hose the slime down the sewers and reopen The Smithsonian, as it's one helluva museum! Lol

Without getting deep into either side (and I severely resent any other side but the two prominent sides are even considered),I feel like most Americans haven't a clue how their constitution works nor how most governmental process works. The don't understand the exact job description of their leaders. I feel like those in power are perfectly satisfied with the general ignorance. FTR none of those in power represent me, know anything about me, nor give three fucks.

Also pineapple on pizza is an abomination :p
Man I bet you hang your toilet paper mullet style too don't you??? 😘😘🫶

Pretty much spot on IMHO, well, maybe excluding the pineapple part... Lol

Cell phones should not work within the confines of an automobile.
One that's running. Once the motor stops, then it should work.
When we had a tree in front, it was used as a safe text and call zone, by everyone, including the police LOL

My controversial opinion: I try to think kindly of people who are married, but secretly I see it as a form of socially approved prostitution. I will prepare to be massacred for this.
I was going to respond to this, but not worth it other than to say it’s not only wrong, but insulting. There’s my controversial opinion. Not that saying marriage isn’t prostitution is in any way controversial.

PS: The photo as my profile picture is a Victorian photograph I used to illustrate what Bertha Rochester in Jane Eyre might have looked like as a bride at a conference. #TeamBertha
Yes, because I am PAYING for it since 28 Oct, 1985!!!

*dad eye roll*

If we want to actually combat fossil fuel based climate change, we need to really start working harder on creating next gen nuclear power plants to make up the embarrassingly large gap of production from other green energies.

I mean, it's my controversial opinion for a reason. *shrugs* You don't have to agree with or engage with it. I don't even usually share it, but thought it might be a niche enough opinion for this thread. No need to take it personally! :)

People who forget that 700k citizens live in the city of DC and think they deserve anything less than full rights of the other 330 million Americans are assholes.

My unpopular opinion on this:
There’s an easy solution to that which no one wants to talk about. Almost all of the residential parts of DC are in the same area. Annex that section into Maryland, which would give Maryland a new seat in the House, possibly two, and leave the “government” section of DC a unique city for just the running of the federal government.

Your solution would be great if either the citizens of DC wanted that or the citizens of Maryland wanted that. Since neither do, it’s not a good solution.
