What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

Watching Flash Gordon for the umteenth time, mostly listening to the music by Queen in the movie.

OMG, you mentioned Matt Bianco. I think I'm in love. Maid of Orleans, Fade to Grey, basically all the songs you mentioned, are so good. And of course, Yaz.

Every time I hear Matt Bianco's It's Getting Late, I always crack up laughing. The ultimate slimy guy moves.

Madness - It Must Be Love

Ooh, me like Kid Creole and Ultravox. Quite the 80s playlist you got there.

Kid Creole And the Coconuts - Endicott
Kid Creole And the Coconuts - Caroline Was a Dropout
Ultravox - Vienna, of course, and Rage In Eden, but also Lament (which I'm listening to now).
OMD - I never got past their first album, but I liked it. Then they got pop. I still set an alarm to 8:15 in their honor.

Listening to slave_ belting along to Swing Out Sister tunes. It's adorable.
I blame Lori.

I take it you mean Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, as opposed to, say, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils?

I meant (and I'm sure litfan10 meant) Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. But I saw the Ozark Mountain Daredevils live. Once. In a Missouri farm field. Good times.

Tears For Fears - Shout

The only karaoke featuring me that will ever hit the internet was my rendition of Shout. Good luck finding it. That said, while I like a lot of these, as far as the 80s go I am more alt: X. 'Mats. Pogo-ing. HFS. Early Sinéad, yeah. Someone cited Troy recently, bless 'em, and I used lyrics from I Want Your (Hands On Me) in one of my stories. And Blues.

Speaking of the 'Mats, time to spin Pleased To Meet Me.

I'm listening to the Queen discography, every album from start to finish, but nothing after the death of Freddy.

John Doe & The Sadies - Country Club

(Yes, Kathleen Edwards ... More!)
