I get serenity in parts. It’s never complete. I found it for like 45 minutes earlier today. But, ultimately, it doesn’t take much to bring me back to the chaos.

I found you can hold on to it by learning to not let outside forces interact with you. It is not easy but I have been working on cultivating that and many other things.

The idea of not letting outside forces interact/interfere seems pretty impossible to me. I still get my shoulders tight from friendly group texts…not sure how you stay balanced with the bigger stuff.

If that’s you, I’m jealous…but also wonder what gets your juices flowing…because if I did find what I imagine serenity to be, I’d still need something to excite me.

Oh, it is a battle long fought.
Few things that help me.
1) don't look for logic where it does not exist
2) you can't save everyone. Sometimes trying to hurts their growth.
3) I am enough. Anyone who tells you differently is showing you their issues. Those are not yours to care about.
4)you are not captain save a hoe. I know I stated this before but it was really important for me.
5) fill your cup often and with all that brings you joy. Anything positive will do.
6) people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Treat them accordingly. When someone tells you who they are… believe them.
7)it is ok to say no. Don't feel bad for protecting your bounties. Those who try to guilt trip you are not your people. Ignore the living fuck out of there bs.
8) people hate or dislike you because of your light. Shine like a supernova and ignore them like a supernova would a grain of sand.

Well, those are some of my ways to not be affected. Everything is not my problem. Everything does not need my comment. Everyone is not worthy of my attention or energy. I protect my peace.
