I didn't have any interaction on the forum with @orangecurious prior to sending him a message last year. I watched him for weeks until I got courage! I wanted to get to know him.

If you want to get to know someone, say so. They might be feeling the same way. Just don't start with "hi" and leave it there.

I didn’t have much forum interaction (beyond the usual One Above You games) with Btq before he messaged either. I was going through a lot and overwhelmed at the time before we really started talking a week and a half later, but once we did, the connection was instant

I will say though, I’m bad at replying to most people in general, and rarely reply to those with little to no post count anymore

Since when is it proper English to write/say "she did try  and murder us" instead of "she did try  to murder us"?

It's as bad as "I could of gone today" instead of " have".

Longer than US has existed. According to a Merriam-Webster post, and has been used in that fashion since 13th century. The combination try and... has come later though, somewhere in 16th century.

The use of of is another issue though... I think they have just misheard it and learned it wrong! I hear native English speaker do such outrageous stuff with words that sound somewhat similar.

How long of an interaction on here do you think you need before sending a PM?

I was in a thread with @Lonestar79 for a short while before he private messaged me, asking how he could be respectful in private messaging others...lol
I told him to interact on the boards with whoever he's interested in, and the polite thing is to ask them first if he can message them.
That's just how I prefer to get DMs .

I always have. They aren’t as jarring as the sudden, intense nightmares that wake me up, but they’re eery. Even the repeats that aren’t bad repeats, there’s a sense of “why?”.

I can usually talk myself out of a dream if I recognize the pattern, which I find interesting. Why did my brain go back there, just to have my brain shoo it away? What’s going on in there? Can we just… sleep?

I've had a repeat dream that I'm pregnant.
In my dream, I'm Ecstatic!! I'm usually at different stages in a pregnancy in each dream.
In reality? I have a great fear of getting pregnant again!! So, it's very ironic!

I have little scarab beetles that live in my apt hallway! Very cool! My neighbor tells me they are always here in the warmer season. A pretense to good things spiritually. Yeah!

Lit is the one place where there's a lot of female privilege. I'd say as a female with posting history, you can send a PM any time to someone you're interested in talking to privately. The only time I know people don't respond to women are when they seem like a spammer or a catfish.
