Some of these I have had and are quite good. My mom pickles eggs with beets. I believe this is a German thing that goes back to Lent. Really good actually.

Not pig's feet though?
I can understand some pickled veg but please say you are not including pig's feet!

And a load of pubs have a massive jar of pickled eggs. As far as I'm aware, they are all about 200 years old and only get opened for drinking game penalties

I have tried them. Some working class Southerners in US consider them a delicacy. Everyone has their thing. When I was in Iceland tried fermented shark which might be most disgusting thing ever.
