Look on the positive side

It was 95 here… hoping that’s not predicting what the summer will be like! On the positive side - I think it was even too hot for the huge flying thing (hornet, maybe?) that likes to hang out by our front door to come out.
We had a hornets nest last year that disappeared close to winter. I really hope it stays gone.

I think I’m too negative some times... It’s of course ok to be upset about things, but I don’t want to always get stuck in that mindset & ruminate over how things suck.

I know this isn't the purpose of the thread, but I think its impossible to NOT be or think negatively about how things have turned out, especially if youve taken it upon yourself to learn why and how its happened. Having an extremely natural reaction to it all is not "being too negative" its being normal.

All this just to say do not use any of that to criticize or police yourself. Its perfectly okay to react to things with disdain.

But yes, it is always still good practice to highlight the good things in order to keep optimism alive; a storm rolled through tonight and left the clearest, brightest, strongest set of rainbows Ive seen in a long long-time 🌈 they were as if you could have walked on then

I fell asleep with the bedroom window open, so I woke up in the middle of the night when the blackbirds started singing again and I had trouble falling back asleep, because the usual 3 am thoughts started haunting my brain.

But at least it was the birds that woke me up and not something unpleasant. 🤩
