Hello everyone...

Just wanting to know what color is your bedroom?

And, any reason for choosing that specific color.

I am in debate about the paint color for my bedroom. I am thinking along the lines of a deep rich chocolate color or a deep red.

Any ideas?

Thank you... :)

I think it's called Cottonwood. It's a soft beige color. Goes with everything. I wanted a nice deep red but the hubby vetoed that idea.

charmed,

My bedroom at the moment is a light sky blue and while I like it , I just need a change. I was thinking more along the lines of some deep colors. I would like my bedroom to be dark... not in a bad way but rather in a relaxing kind of way...

Hope that makes sense.. :)

It makes total sense. *nods*

I like deep greens and darker beiges for that effect. Certain shades of red are good if you have a fair amount of natural light in the room. Blue is good for relaxing but if you get it too dark, it looks black instead of blue, lol.

What I do is get a small amount of the color I'm considering and put in on the wall. Live with it for a few days and see how you feel. If you don't like it, you can always paint over it.

Do you have bedding in mind already? Gonna use some you already have or buy new? To me, bedding (fabric colors and textures) makes a huge difference in the feel of a room.

I just bought a quart of paint but that was for the kitchen. I was in debate about the color and wanted to see if the paint would look nice on the wall and it does.. so I have that color out of the way.

But as for my bedroom, I have been going back and forth on the colors.
I would like something dark but not so dark that is makes me feel like I am in some sort of cave or some thing.

Yes! I was thinking alone the lines of some thing like this.... I like the designs and coloring...they also have a deep red color for the bedding. :)

I really like that bedding. Good choice. :) Even that orange color was nice. *gets new bedroom ideas* LOL

If you're worried about the "cave-like" feeling, maybe you could paint one wall the red as an accent and the others something more neutral. OR maybe the bottom half of the whole room the neutral color and the top half the red.....

You won't know until you try it and paint is a quick fix if you don't like it. I do it all the time. I like to change things up. Staring at the same walls gets boring after a while.
