IndeedProjection is an awful thing, isn't it?
I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. In my last post I said I consider anything other than a BTB story a legit attempt at the fetish. The shame is those attempts keep getting flamed even though they are what the category is about. There are legit readers who are looking for said stories, but they get drowned out by the shitheads.
Said shitheads attack the commenters you're talking about and they're driving them off to where they are becoming the majority. As the OP just mentioned, some people don't want to have to battle the idiots in a place they're supposed to be having fun.
We've gotten to where more cuck stories are going into fetish because 'there goes the neighborhood' says it all there and I see it continuing.
The site is at fault. They screen comments yet continue to let all this stuff through even though much of it can be considered hate speech at this point, but hey, just don't say puberty I guess.
Its not going to get any better which is too bad because it sucks for the people you're talking about. In the meantime I'm not going to sugar coat the fact its gone from a normal category to cesspool.
Hey, guys. Finally, I lost my virginity. Congratulate me everyone. LoL.
This is a topic I'm also worried about, and I totally get where you're coming from. I'm a long time erotica reader, and I've finally decided to attempt to write my own stories. But because my main idea I have at the moment is a wife cheating story (it's actually really similar to yours, in fact - an interracial cheating on a honeymoon) and I suffer from really bad anxiety, I don't know if I should post it, or where, if I do, to put it.
I want to put it in the place where it fits best, but because of the strong negative reactions they get from certain people, I also don't want to put it there.
That's very helpful, thank you. Some advice. I hope it's helpful.
If you are anxious about getting a nasty response, you're normal. You're like almost everybody else here. It's OK. We've all gone through that.
You could post it in another category where it's likely to get a more positive reception. Interracial, maybe. Sounds like a good fit for that. Plus, interracial stories get a lot of views, relatively speaking.
If the story has exhibitionist/voyeur elements, you could post it there. I've found that to be a relatively "nice" category, and I've had good success posting "hot wife" stories in that category.
If it has fetishy elements, you could post it in fetish. But fetish stories don't get quite as many views.
Yea, the extra marital fun should happen in both way.I saw this thread. Decided to read it. I gave the story 5 stars. Loving wives. It could be wives loving anything thats outside their married sex life. Erotica is erotica. I find if you cant say anything good. Dont say anything at all. However ive had BBC and this womans husband gave her a gift of a lifetime!! Loving wives, more like loving husbands!! Hoping he gets some of that too
If it's about gay, transgender then you can out your story in Gay or transgender. The readers from this section are very open minded. If not then put it on fetish. Personally I don't have any experience on that. Don't put it in interracial if it's about gay or transgender. I stopped a series after two chapters. You'll find a lot admirers but also haters. Find some story that similar to yours and saw the comments and rating before publishing in a new category. I just learned from my mistake. This is a topic I'm also worried about, and I totally get where you're coming from. Yes, you read the tags and stay out of it, that's the main idea of tags and categories. But in reality even after there is a summary at the very beginning of the story and a warning of what it is about. But still, readers gave their thoughts about the story is just crazy.I don't know that there is any one thing that readers want in the LW category. For myself, I love reading a well-formed BTB tale. I also enjoy seeing forgiveness and reconciliation when the MC is given a chance to recover. I am not a fan of cuck or humiliation where the MC never stands up for themselves, and I can't stand stories that have no ending (I miss FTDS).
In comments, a lot of the time, I try to comment on the story itself and how I feel about what the characters did. I try not to insult the author. Most of the time, they have put a lot of time and effort into crafting a story they are passionate about. And knowing the backlash, you're going to get posting in LW. I want to encourage them to do better so that I can read stories that work my emotional heartstrings.
But that's me, not everyone else. In the LW category, there are also some very well-thought-out stories about swapping/swinging and even cuckolding. while I don't typically read these, I have noticed that lots of the commentators that aren't screaming rage at the author for writing that side of LW, that they like it.
I guess it boils down to the fact that we are all different and all of us like different things. Just because a story doesn't rate highly, or it gets a whole lot of trolls throwing insults at it, doesn't mean that there are not a group of readers out there that really love the story.
It comes down to each to their own.
I saw the comments you got and some of them were the rudest statements I've ever see online. (Maybe they are actually average for that board; somebody should do a study.) Unfortunately, although it might be an interesting topic for stories, that's what happens of Lit. Some authors deliberately go on there to stir up things, and the denizens there go for the bait.Okay, but I'm weak in English. Did you blame some authors like me or the others who give them what the readers want?

I love interracial. I'll read it.That's very helpful, thank you.
Interracial would work well in the absence of loving wives, and I can probably tag it to widen the audience to other people anyway. It's basically just a straight up cheating story though with no voyeurism (might have some elements of anal at some point but not enough for it to be in *that* category), and not really any need for Fetish. Thanks again for the help and insight.
Much like the people on Twitter that crowd lives to be provoked, outraged and angry. My wife always says if you look for something you'll find it and they look for reasons to spew, so whether you're trying or not doesn't matter.I wasn't, however, deliberately trying to provoke them. I think the stories could have fit into another category, but at least I found out.
Thank you, and I'm notoriously not thick-skinned so I'll definitely take the advice.Great that you want to write. I think interracial would be a good place to post it.
You need very thick skin to post anything in the loving wives cesspool. It is not a good idea to put your first story there.
Thank you!I love interracial. I'll read it.
People provoke other people on the Internet and apps because it's so easy to do and the consequences are negligible. They used to be called "flame wars," although maybe that term is fading.Much like the people on Twitter that crowd lives to be provoked, outraged and angry. But your comment about authors deliberately egging them on did help to create this mess as well. The category was well described to me once by a young lady who is no longer on lit when she said "Its a perfect storm of ugh."
You can't block readers here. But you can block anonymous readers and commenters. You can even frustrate them further by turning off comments and votes, yet I understand that you might like to know both.I'm not posting any stories in that category. I think they don't deserve any freebies at all. Do you guys block them? I never block anyone in here but I think I should.

It kind of depends on how much you can tolerate. I put a couple of stories on there because they seemed to fit and I admit I was curious to see what would happen. I wasn't, however, deliberately trying to provoke them. I think the stories could have fit into another category, but at least I found out.
What if they vote down my other categories' stories after turning off votes and comments? I think the best way to fix the loving wives category is by reporting inappropriate stories they love to read. You can't block readers here. But you can block anonymous readers and commenters. I have anon comments turned off as most of the vitriol comes from them.
I have wanted to publish in this category for awhile, but my ego keeps getting in the way. While I have confidence in my story-telling skills, it’s my fear of down voting (both on the LW story and my other works). Fortunately (or unfortunately in this case) I’ve been lucky enough to maintain a perfect hot red score on my stories so far. And while I still see “hot” ratings on LW stories, they seem rare. It seems petty, but II don't understand why you keep playing into the BTB crowd's game by talking this way. Yes, this crowd exists, and yes, they are terrible, and yes, they will downvote your story if you publish an extramarital sex story in LW where the wife isn't punished. But there's also a big LW readership that doesn't think this way, and it's OBVIOUS that this is true. Why can't you acknowledge that? If authors want many favorites and views and don't care about high scores and nasty comments then this is the right category in which to publish these stories.
I have wanted to publish in this category for awhile, but my ego keeps getting in the way. I could give a shit about negative comments, but it’s my fear of downvoting that has held me back. Sounds petty, but I’m fortunate (or unfortunate in this case) that I have maintained a perfect red “hot” rating to this point. That said, I will likely never write Incest/Taboo and really want to reach other popular audience categories. I like wife infidelity stories, but, although I’ve published some, not necessarily cuckold. I’m not into BTB.I don't understand why you keep playing into the BTB crowd's game by talking this way. Probably not. But maybe yes, if you tell it from the seducer's point of view. The incels love strong (white) men taking what they want; then they can imagine it's them.I have wanted to publish in this category for awhile, but my ego keeps getting in the way. The 30k foot premise for the LW story I’m considering is: As a condition of a fuckup the husband makes, he has to agree to let another man seduce his wife. He doesn’t want it, but feels he has no choice but to accept. Any idea where that falls in the LW list of acceptable/desired rationales?
It doesn't matter to the trolls if the husband knows and agrees about the wife fucking another guy or if the husband is surprised when he finds out, it's all the same to them: The husband is a cuckold/wimp (unless he burns the bitch), or they are perverts.....I like wife infidelity stories, but, although I’ve published some, not necessarily cuckold. I’m not into BTB.
