What do readers actually want in Loving Wives?

I have written and published more than a few cuckold/hot-wife themed stories in Loving Wives.

I always start the story by advising the reader that I will delete any rude/nasty comments and I always do that. I just delete them. I still get occasional rude comments, but I think the regular trolls have realized it’s pointless to post the rude stuff there.

I used to get some pretty horrible emailed feedback about my LW stories, but then I started advising readers that I would instantly delete any nasty email I get. I do that. Now it’s very rare for me to get rude emailed feedback.

I don’t worry about the score I get at all. All cuckolding/hot-wife stuff in LW gets a low score so it doesn’t matter whether it’s well written or not. Getting a low score says very little about how well you write.

The low score is important though as it directs fans of cuckolding/hot-wife stuff to the stories they want to read. The low score is like a sign post which all regular LW users are aware of. I guess it’s unfortunate, but that’s the way it works in LW. Writers like me need low scores in LW. I’m more interested in looking at the number of people who favorite the story and the number of people who have at least clicked on the story and had a look at it. The positive written feedback of fans is very welcome though.

I love cuckolding/hot-wife themed stories. I find the idea and imagery of a wife, female fiancée or girlfriend having the most amazing sex with someone else to be so erotic and breathtaking. The teasing, playful humiliation and denial of a husband, fiancée or boyfriend adds an exciting and delicious edge to it all. It's a pity that more fans of these types of stories don't vote/comment. I don't think many do.

That's admirable.

I wrote a loving wives story and holy shit, I never got this much of comments before any one of my best story. Here is the story: https://literotica.com/s/honeymoon-cuckold-pt-01
Pls someone tell me what's wrong with this story line.
We love to read stories in this category and and have written some that we will publish too so interested to see all these comments on this too 😊😊

We are new to this all too, a couple from the UK and we are about to publish in this category maybe but we would like to avoid the trolls as well. I have seen some reviews and that would be upsetting I think. Steve & Abi

Here is my take on the LW crowd...

They are men who at one time thought it would be exciting to see/hear about their wife with another man. Yet once she did, he hated it but she loved it and continued even when he told her not to. She then turned him in to her cuckold, new definition - her wimp. He is either still married to her and she had him in a cage, but maybe not, or he has divorced her or more likely she divorced him. All these men now hate all women and come here to read about bitches getting burned and then complain, bitch, and moan about all the RAAC stories and all the Stag/Vixen stories 1-bombing those stories as many times as they can.

There are still those readers out there that like the LW category as it was meant to be. Wives having extra-marital affairs with the husbands permission.

RAAC stories. What's the full meaning of RAAC?

I have wanted to publish in this category for awhile, but my ego keeps getting in the way. While I have confidence in my story-telling skills, it’s my fear of down voting (both on the LW story and my other works). Fortunately (or unfortunately in this case) I’ve been lucky enough to maintain a perfect hot red score on my stories so far. And while I still see “hot” ratings on LW stories, they seem rare. It seems petty, but I

I have wanted to publish in this category for awhile, but my ego keeps getting in the way. I could give a shit about negative comments, but it’s my fear of downvoting that has held me back. Sounds petty, but I’m fortunate (or unfortunate in this case) that I have maintained a perfect red “hot” rating to this point. That said, I will likely never write Incest/Taboo and really want to reach other popular audience categories. I like wife infidelity stories, but, although I’ve published some, not necessarily cuckold. I’m not into BTB.

The 30k foot premise for the LW story I’m considering is: As a condition of a fuckup the husband makes, he has to agree to let another man seduce his wife. He doesn’t want it, but feels he has no choice but to accept. Any idea where that falls in the LW list of acceptable/desired rationales?
Man, in my experience getting a red H is difficult, although I have a few. Also, it's amazing that you have over 1,600 followers while I only have 105 in about the same time frame. You must be doing something right.

So if this is important to you - well, I think you could put the story in Erotic Couplings and it would fit there. Since you asked: my guess is that the Loving Wives denizens are not going to accept your premise and they will take it out on your story. Like for Vito Corleone, for them it's not personal, it's just business.

My take on the rough taxonomy of the Loving Wives category--that is, the kinds of stories that the readers of this category like, keeping in mind that the readers of one type of story often loathe and despite the others types of stories. My taxonomy is based upon what I perceive to be reader preferences and is driven in particular by how people who like a particular category see that category.

1. Cuckold stories: The wife cheats on the husband, and there's an element of humiliation of the husband. Either the husband or the wife or both enjoy the humiliation. Humiliation is an important element of the kink.
2. Stag/vixen or "hot wife" stories: The wife has sex with men outside of marriage, and both parties enjoy it, but there's no humiliation. Sometimes, in fact, the man in the relationship is a Dom and his wife is a sub, or he orchestrates the extramarital activity. A key thing to understand is that the audience for this category is not necessarily the same as for category 1, although there is some overlap.
3. Revenge against the wife/"burn the bitch (BTB)" stories. The wife cheats, and the husband gets revenge. There is no tolerance for extramarital sex of any kind. This crowd sees subcategories 1 and 2 as the same thing, because in their mind any man who lets his wife have sex outside marriage is a worthless, spineless, humiliated cuck.
4. Reconciliation at all cost (RAAC) stories: The wife cheats but they find a way to get back together.
5. Other stories that involve wives doing something sexy, or something romantic, not necessarily cheating. This is a grab bag that's the hardest to define of all of them.

There are substantial readership groups for ALL of these types of stories in Loving Wives.

For the most part, readers of 1 and 2 ignore type 3 stories. Not always true, but usually true. They're focused on finding sexy wife stories.

Readers of type 3 stories do NOT ignore type 1 and 2 stories. Many of them seek them out, downvote them, and leave nasty comments, and some of them will even seek out your other stories and downvote them too. Many of them believe those types of stories do not belong in the category. This is the least "live and let live" group of readers at Literotica.

When you ask, "What do the readers of this category want?" you must understand that the category encompasses very different reader groups who want very different things.

You can get substantial views, votes, favorites, and new followers by publishing in any of these categories, but it is more difficult to achieve high scores for stories 1 and 2 because of the story 3 readers. Not impossible, but harder.

Yeah, SimonDoom, I have much hate pointed at me from group 3. Some of them, at least I believe, look for my other stories to downvote them. Now, I can't prove that, but I think it happens. I stopped publishing in the category but have considered doing more of the stories just to piss them off or posting some there (and again to piss them off) with a second pen name.

Getting a red H isn't that hard if you know your audience. My stories are poorly written but still, I got a lot of red H and the rest of it is pretty close which I knew before publishing it. I'm not bragging I'm just telling you that if you just give them what they want then your stories will get red H.

For example, my first LW story rating is below 3 because the audience wasn't right. Always give them a warning at first, a few imbeciles will still read but a lot will not downvote your story.

But you aren't posting loving wives. We're talking about the loving wives category in this thread. You have one story in loving wives, and it isn't close to a 4.5 a'tall. Show us how you can get a 4.5 there. I'll listen to what you say if you do.

As for me, I don't write my stories to fit what the reader wants. I write what I like and desire to write. Should readers find it and like, yeah, if not, oh well.

You are right. But you should also consider readers' urges. Write what you want just don't put them in LW. LoL. I mean some readers think just like you.

I guess I don't know my audiences then! But as Millie said, I write them the way I think they should go. Anyway, giving a warning to LW readers just means that they have time to sharpen their knives. In any case, it may be best to mostly leave them in whatever level of Hades Dante assigned them to. The Wrathful; wasn't that one of the groups in that place?

Loving Wives? Shakespeare said it best: Much Ado About Nothing!

Write good stories...views, votes and comments will follow. The few negative ones are a minute percentage of the
total comments.

Your score will suffer somewhat because of the 1 bombers but that hardly matters.

FifthEstate writes well and writes well written interracial stories and has at least one with real pics. He or she has found a way of scratching an itch for a good group of readers.

I planed on submitting at least one story in each category. This thread has inspired me to write something for loving wives right now. It posts tonight. A strong white male loses his wife to a Filipino lesbian. Together these two women become witches and lovers. They also set him up to go to prison for arson. I will be surprised if it gets even 2 stars.

You Red-H stories are all in Transgender & Crossdressers, which would have a very limited audience. So, it's likely they will love most Transgender & Crossdresser stories which have even a reasonable plot.

Other categories such as Erotic Couplings or Group Sex will get a far more varied readership, and many of those will HATE various additional kinks which they weren't expecting. The LW crowd HATES even the extra-marital sex and sharing, which is how that category is defined! So, in my opinion, writing a Red-H story in those other categories requires much better writing AND a measure of luck in who the readers are while the story is in the top listings. It also requires a author not have any haters tracking their work to 1-bomb out of hating the author. Interestingly, I have one old story which made it to Red-H with 21 votes, then two days later was 1-bombed to take that away.

Haters hate for a variety of reasons, and if you even offend someone here or in post too much in LW, you might attract one. Then you might find your previous Red-H's disappearing.

I thought witches are born that way, not made later, but I guess it could any way one pleases. So why do these two ladies have a grudge against this guy? Did he try to interfere?

I've heard of a few people who tried for a story in every category, which is pretty ambitious. I don't think I could pull it off. Erotic Horror would be one I doubt I could do.

I think we said this before. How many readers are on this site? Tens of thousands at least, a cross-section of humanity perhaps. And as George Carlin said, "Human beings are capable of anything." One-bombing online stories is one of the least of their possible offenses.

Erotica horror is easy to do, but hard to do well. Even the people who have almost all their stories getting a red h have problems with it.The normal way is to write a normal sex story then re-write it so one of the characters is a vampire or were-wolf or to tell a sexy ghost story.

Can confirm. My story had a vagina try and eat the MC during cunnilingus. Apparently that's not what's requested of the category.

Fuck, just realized that my goal should be to get a Red H in each category not just write a crappy story in each. That's going to take a while longer. Plus I'd have to try Erotic Horror again and no-one wants that...

You are referring to the concept of a "vagina dentata," a woman's genitals (often with teeth) that will eat or devour a man or at least his penis. It seems to have been independently invented in many folklore tales around the world. I've heard but confirm that the term itself was coined by Freud, but he obviously wasn't the first one to think of it. I won't go into the bizarre symbolism of it all.

Getting a red H in every category is really ambitious, and I wish you luck I guess if that is what you want. I have no interest in such a thing, and I couldn't do it in any case. I'm going to stoop to quote a Clint Eastwood character, "Every man has to know his limitations." Okay, so that goes for women too.
