What do you expect from a story when it comes specifically to its non-binary characters? (70% shitpost, 30% serious)

I haven't managed to read the whole thread, but just in case nobody pointed it out - The Hobbit was written for Tolkien's (4) children. He wasn't about to suddenly make TLOTR realistic about sex and relationships.
 
Story idea: a character who's a Tolkien nerd, who has "mellon" tattooed in Sindarin on a very sensitive part of their anatomy.
Let's keep in mind that the West Gate of Moria was the back door to Khazad-Dûm, made expressly for the Elves of Eregion/Hollin. :oops::LOL:
