What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

Male culture. 🤣🤣🤣

I think you mean toxic masculinity you sad, pathetic imbecile. You view women as objects and it’s so blatantly obvious.

Gotta love the combination of "you all just pre-judged me because I'm a man" and "I do this bullshit because I'm a man and that's how men are". Pick one or the other, dude.

A really bad joke I saw on twitter earlier.

I asked a friend how it was going down at the National Ambidextrous Society. He said people are joining left and right.

I’m 88th out of 243 participants in the crossword league and it makes me stupidly happy!

The new kid at work. "Did you know that Gwen Stefani was in a band before she went solo?" Oh how I laughed.

I spied violets in the grass.
Then I met the kind of salesman who can sell you kettlebells while you are actively drowning.

Talking with the new intern that started yesterday. She's so excited and happy, it's great!

Our boss said in a meeting last week that the highlight of his year is when the interns start, because they're temporary antidote to his, and everyone else's in our department, cynicism. I get it. The joy of the interns is infectious. :)

We are interviewing candidates for a position and have had a few who have little or no experience. While there is a feeling of ”sweet summer child” among us old cynics at times, it is kind of inspiring too.

How lucky I am to have a friend who always knows how to de-couple my brain from the shit around me and instead gifts me with joy, fun and lightheartedness with a splash of real on the side when needed. :rose:

I finished 85/243 in my crossword puzzle league!

It’s an insignificant thing, but I’m proud of it, because I solve in a foreign language and still managed to beat over 150 people. And it was so difficult for me at the beginning, so this is a concrete piece of evidence that I’ve made progress. 🤓

Funny, I look at this and remember a "new kid" about 1985 saying: "Did you know Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?"

Can anyone tell me what a ‘pleb’ is so that I don’t have to look it up?

Apparently I have never revealed anything about myself to make me non-vanilla. Also, I’m a dude now, so suck my cock.

Seriously ROFLing... had to share the smile.

I got curious and looked it up. It means ”an ordernary person from the lower social classes”. I sure don’t know what this guy is after, but he’s all over the place screaming at people that they are vanilla.

What he should be after is a high school diploma.

It’s a friday thing for me.

My smile is magnolia buds. Makes me think of Karin Boyes poem.
Yes, of course it hurts when buds are breaking.
Why else would the springtime falter?
Why would all our ardent longing
bind itself in frozen, bitter pallor?
After all, the bud was covered all the winter.
What new thing is it that bursts and wears?
Yes, of course it hurts when buds are breaking,
hurts for that which grows
and that which bars.

Yes, it is hard when drops are falling.
Trembling with fear, and heavy hanging,
cleaving to the twig, and swelling, sliding -
weight draws them down, though they go on clinging.
Hard to be uncertain, afraid and divided,
hard to feel the depths attract and call,
yet sit fast and merely tremble -
hard to want to stay
and want to fall.
