What makes your S o u l F u l l?

Yes, just to be happy is the goal. Throw in a little peace in your heart, mind, body and soul too :)

If you can make yourself your soulmate and make that friendship the best it can be all the rest is just a bonus really

That is the line they feed us. If all we needed was as ourselves no one would get lonely ever. Oh and babies wouldn’t die from lack of human contact. 😒

Not what i meant, if we are forever searching for someone or something else to make us complete then its going to be a hard slog, i think there would be more success if we can be searching for someone who compliments our lives rather than someone who has to fill a void

Both good answers. Although I think search isn't it. Shouldn't we go about our business, make ourselves happy, and maybe, just maybe, good things find us? Could be what you meant in the first quote^.

Thats pretty much exactly what i meant Lily.

thus: many her days she felt gloom.
offtend it stormed much, the thick heavy drops and powerful winds.
but even as the thunder roared and the lighting flashed. yet, when she turned to me. my skyes did clear. the sun warm on my neck. and the air fresh and alive. as nothing, nothing could dim the beauty of her soul.

I found your thread Lily :cattail:

I have to say that at this point in my life, I'm leaning towards the cynical side on Soulmates. But . . that depends on how you define Soulmate. How would you define the term, the relationship?

I'd guess that there are as many definitions as there are people defining it.

Yayyy!

I never really thought about it till someone told me I was theirs. They were mistaken 🙃 It's a lovely thought that there's someone for everyone, including our weird little quirks 💁🏼

hmmm. . .. if i did not kno it to be true. i could very well feel as some of you do. in fact, i had felt that way. till i said ' hi ' and they said ' hi ' back. and as i was not looking for a or my soulmate.
it just became such. but you kno, it was born out of pain, tears and much hurt. and i was there to help them keep afloat, in word s only. but i was.
thus the smiles were real, the laughter , from the heart.
with a bond that was forged in our souls.
some things just happen. and some never happen, life is like that.

let us all just keep living, and pluck what joy we can.
my wish for us all.

I don't believe in soulmates. I think there are people that speak to our souls. People that you can make such an easy and instant connection with. But I don't think it's limited to just one person. And I think it's just the connections that is made. The relationship still takes work. Massive amounts of work.

I do not believe there is only one soulmate for you in your lifetime. As individuals we grow and mature in ways that hopefully make us better people in the long run and as such we meet the people who help us along the way.

At different stages in my life, I have met both friends and lovers that felt like "home". You know it when you meet them, it's easy and doesn't take great effort to feel kinship/compassion/intimacy with them. And I do believe it can take both forms of either friendship or lover. So many people make the mistake, I think, of limiting the definition of a soulmate for themselves as strictly a romantic or lover relationship.

And as cliche as it may sound, I have learned something from each relationship and still maintain most of them. The only ones that are not still in my life have departed this world and I no longer have access to them. Losing them makes me feel as if I have lost some piece of my own soul but I do feel I am a better person for having had them in my life and was fortunate enough to be cherished and loved. But at heart, I am a romantic. I believe in love in all it's forms.:)

Hopefully this made sense. :D

I think you hit the nail on the head. This is beautiful! It could be a friend for life too.

I like this too. A connection that you make that you don't want to end. That you will work hard to keep :)
